Kuhani ( Persian: كوهاني), also Romanized as Kūhānī; also known as Kohni and Kuhni, [3] is a village in, and the capital of, Shaban Rural District of the Central District of Nahavand County, Hamadan province, Iran. [4]

At the 2006 National Census, its population was 2,528 in 687 households. [5] The following census in 2011 counted 2,664 people in 788 households. [6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 2,674 people in 838 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. [2]
