Zangeneh ( Persian: زنگنه), also Romanized as Zanganeh, [3] formerly Zangeneh-ye Olya (زنگنه عليا), [4] is a city in, and the capital of, Zand District of Malayer County, Hamadan province, Iran. [5] It also serves as the administrative center for Kamazan-e Olya Rural District. [6]

At the 2006 census, its population was 844 in 242 households. [7] The following census in 2011 counted 725 people in 239 households. [8] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 621 people in 238 households. [2]
