There seems to a be a specific use in relation to England women's international footballers, the numbers are mentioned on several biographies and List of England women's international footballers states with a source that Legacy numbers were introduced in November 2022 to mark the 50th anniversary of an official England women's team., but nowhere that I've found is there any encyclopaedic information that would help someone wanting to know more about them (as best I can tell a legacy number of e.g. 181 just means that Lucy Bronze was the 181st person to play for England Women). Aaand deleted as copyvio. Queen of Hearts 03:12, 8 February 2024 (UTC) reply

The redirect has good amount of issues. For one, it is unclear what "Early European" means, considering the target does not define it and Early European does not exist. Thus, the subject of this redirect seems to not be defined in the target article. Lastly, there could be an WP:XY issue since Population statistics and Census are two separate articles. Lastly ... however, this redirect is a {{ R with history}} as the result of a WP:BLAR in 2010. Steel1943 ( talk) 01:42, 8 December 2023 (UTC) reply

  • Comment skim-reading that old content, it looks like an essay about this history of demography in Europe so I think the nom is bracketing the title wrong - it's (Early) (European population statistics and censuses) rather than (Early European) (population statistics and censuses), so that part of the nomination statement isn't correct, and a Demography article would resolve the XY issues. Demographics of Europe#History is the closest thing I've found to content that matches the subject, but I'm torn between retargetting there and reverting the BLAR in favour of an AfD (while at first glance it seems a sure delete, those with subject matter knowledge I don't have may see something salvageable in it. • Revert without prejudice to AfD. Tavix's comments have convinced me that this wouldn't make a good redirect to that target, and I've not found anything better. • Disambiguate. For a general search term like this one that's ambiguous between different countries, we shouldn't favor the country with a larger population just because that article gets more views. This is relevant to Wikipedia's systemic bias. Moreover, in terms of long-term significance the Opium Wars probably have a stronger claim to primary topic status than either of the other two articles. — Mx. Granger ( talk · contribs) 02:37, 8 December 2023 (UTC) reply
  • Setindexify the most famous trade wars with China are the Opium Wars; the current target is definitively bad, since it is not the most famous or the most consequential trade war with China. The actual wars that was also a trade war would be better as a target if this were to remain a redirect. Afterall, the British pushed drugs onto China and got Hong Kong as compensation for having lost their drug dealers after China lost the drug war to the drug kingpins. -- 65.92.247.90 ( talk) 06:37, 8 December 2023 (UTC) reply

Drafted at the redirect. My issue with Trade war#List of trade wars or trade disputes is that it is not sectioned or categorized by country, and while searching for China shows two China-related wars, Opium wars in another section is not as evident as others as a China-related trade war. Not an accepted pseudo-namespace. We only very rarely allow technical issues elsewhere to take over mainspace, and I don't see a good reason to do so here. For the record I did read the editnotice explaining the technical issue, but am not convinced it warrants this unusual solution. The second redirect is probably speedyable as G4 per Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2018_March_13#COM:OVERWRITE * Pppery * it has begun... 21:07, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

I had created COM:MOA only to fix a redlink. The reason I gave during page creation was "hundreds of mobile uploads on commons are used on enwiki and the enwiki "File history" comment has an unintentional redlink saying "Uploaded using Commons Mobile App" (a redlink to commons page); this redirect page gives a landing point to those thousands of redlinks". I don't know technical rules here so feel free to do what you must. Thanks. Kiran_891 ( TALK) 21:11, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

I thought about bundling COM:FR, will probably leave it be for now (or at a later time), seems to have further stipulations and isn't just a direct link to commons, but instead is a link to project space which soft redirects to commons. A redirect to portal space that was created as a test for whether it would increase traffic to portals (understood via edit summary). As this is a one-off occurrence of this nomenclature, with no other portal redirect being considered a topic overview, I don't think this would be a likely search term, but moreso the remains of an inconclusive traffic test (which is a totally fair experiment, but not one that seems necessary to keep). While going through the redirects that contained unclosed parentheses for their disambiguators, there were a number of other 70s Show redirects that I noticed which were also otherwise implausible typos, due to missing spaces or misspellings, or both. Going to include these all in a bundle as well, despite the variation in typographical errors, as they all share the commonality of previously pointing at individual episodes which later got merged back into a list (these episodes don't really receive due diligence at the target article to begin with) Utopes ( talk / cont) 02:21, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Delete all. These have standard versions ( Drive In (That '70s Show episode)). Gonnym ( talk) 09:50, 22 January 2024 (UTC) reply

A bundle of redirects that are missing parentheses. This group contains titles ranging from letters A - E, and all of these listed have received zero pageviews in the last month, identified through this source: [1] Utopes ( talk / cont) 00:56, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

( edit conflict) Speedy delete Brice Creek (Trent River tributary. I created this redirect by accident in a page move, so please delete it by G7. JJP Mas ter ( she/ they) 01:48, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
Unfortunately, this redirect (and most others here, but in relation to this case) cannot usually be G7'ed. When it comes to pages created by way of a page move, G7s can only apply when the person that moves the page (and leaves a redirect) is also the original author of the first page in question. G6 is more likely to take effect, but oftentimes these titles have been sitting around for a while so they end up coming through RfD anyway. Utopes ( talk / cont) 02:09, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
( edit conflict) It (re: Bill Otto (born 1956) only exists because I made a typo when I first tried to move it. This probably could be a speedy. JDDJS ( talk to mesee what I've done) 01:50, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
Probably goes without saying, but it looks like a substantial number of the redirects in this list would be perfectly valid and reasonable redirects were the close paren included. While I don't think anyone would complain about just deleting the ones that only differ from the correct article name by the close paren (as presumably 100% of them were created by mistake), care should be taken to make sure that the ones that are just typos of what would be a valid redirect simply have the close paren added. I don't think any of these need to be kept as-is though. Sellyme Talk 04:06, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply

  • Delete all - on the reason that it is very unlikely any of these redirects are linked on any article. Iggy ( Swan) ( Contribs) 09:01, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
  • I have moved two of these entries that were noted in the Tree of Life article alerts ( Calonema radiatum ( and Calonemorchis radiatum () to Calonema radiatum and Calonemorchis radiatum, without creating a redirect, since without the typo they represent correct species synonym redirects that were otherwise absent. Donax (bivalve, on the other hand, does exist in a correct version ( Donax (bivalve)) and should be deleted. - I'm pretty sure that this list should not be simply batch-deleted; many entries probably need to be simply fixed rather than removed. -- Elmidae ( talk · contribs) 13:00, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
I did go ahead and fix a couple where I saw it was fit, such as Cedar (WAGL 207 had a pretty shoe-in solution with Cedar (WAGL 207) that didn't exist at the time. That being said, counting out the different titles here, 2/3s of these redirects show up to the left of the same exact title, so page movement couldn't be an option there. Oftentimes, the other pages have fixed versions too, but the fixed version is also a redirect. Whenever I could, I'd make these fixes as to avoid having a longer list at RfD. Generally speaking, moving redirects is often unideal, but it still can happen. The reason these are here are because either they can't be fixed, or probably shouldn't be (if it gets left behind via a page move from a title with multiple errors, possibly something like Bethesda Hospital (694844St. Paul where I would not expect this title be fixed.) Pages with just a trailing "(" and no other content inside of them I considered to be unfixable, as there was no way to determine what was supposed to go in the disambiguator, so thank you for finding a solution for the two at the Tree of Life. If there are any other fixable instances, please let me know, but I feel that out of this list, the opportunity to find solutions on an individual level are few and far between, and most if not all match the same / similar profiles and page histories. Utopes ( talk / cont) 23:06, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
I went back through this list, just to make sure that all possibilities were considered and every title examined. Out of all of the redirects here, only two did not have a correct version in existence (or be otherwise implausible for other reasons, leading to me being uncomfortable moving it). Chelleli Kapuram (Telugu TV Series and Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist were both redirects created at incorrect titles and so far were left unaddressed, which is now complete. After relooking everything over, all the others have correct duplications floating around (or be unlikely), so I'm of the stance that the rest can go with no issues. • Delete This is accounted for in {{ New page DYM}}. A possibly relevant previous discussion on RfD which also had a batch nomination of these. Another special case among the redirects is DLF (seed company=, which should fall under WP:G6 (while a {{ R from move}}, the page has existed only for approximately a minute under that title). • Delete all per nom. All are missing the closing parenthesis, and most of these titles redirect to titles that do have the closing parenthesis. Many of these seem to have been created by accident during the page-move process, as evidenced by at least five of the above comments. – Epicgenius ( talk) 18:37, 20 January 2024 (UTC) reply
