deletion

Hi. You deleted User:Allein Hart. That was fine, and I would have done so myself, apart from the fact that it included a paid editing disclosure, so I have restored the earlier revisions of the page, but with all content apart from that disclosure either deleted or revision deleted. Just letting you know. JBW ( talk) 15:19, 11 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Ah crap, sorry about that @ JBW! Thanks for catching this and letting me know. Hey man im josh ( talk) 15:21, 11 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Undeletion Request

Good day a page I recreated was recently deleted Codest Boi Under speedy deletion. I kindly request it be undeleted and moved to draft where we can improve it as time goes on because the subject meets the notability but most of the articles he had coverage in were deleted because in most cases African/Nigerian sources take down articles over 3 years so instead of it being a stub and deleted kindly give me sometime to make more research and add more to the draft before I submit for review again because I feel I failed after making research and still coming back short hope you consider this and hopefully grant this request. Jellymanpro ( talk) 00:12, 13 April 2024 (UTC) reply

@ Jellymanpro: This was not a speedy deletion, as mentioned when Moboshgu declined your request. What did you find that wasn't presented in the AfD discussion? There was a solid consensus to delete the article. Hey man im josh ( talk) 01:13, 13 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Hi Brother help me once in creating a article after that I will follow your steps to add new information on Wikipedia data

It is a brigraphy article about an IPS officer Sarvesh Raj

Here is the details about him

He was selected as an IPS officer in the 2013 batch. He has served as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (DSP) in Ramanathapuram district and acted as a Superintendent of Police (SP) in Ambatur city. He is currently serving as an Undersecretary in Delhi. He has successfully resolved numerous sensitive issues in Ramanathapuram district. Therefore, I believe he is eligible to have a Wikipedia page.

Hello, Josh,

I'm running into trouble with a newer editor who keeps moving Malanggad, a 14 year old article, to Draft space because they aren't happy with its sourcing. I've told them to not draftify articles that are that old unless there are COI issues or it's part of a closure for an AFD but they claim DRAFTIFY is an essay not policy. I've returned the article to main space twice but I'm also on the verge of an edit warring, too, and I have never run into an editor who didn't respect the guidelines of DRAFTIFY before. I know you have reverted article moves to Draft space that weren't appropriate so have you run into this issue before? I won't revert again but I think this is definitely not an appropriate article for draftifying. Thanks for any advice you can offer. Liz Read! Talk! 21:50, 19 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Hey @ Liz, I'm sorry to hear you're running into this issue. I have indeed run into a similar issue before and I've left a message on their talk page. Community consensus needs to be adhered to, so if they do it again I'll issue a temporary block until they start communicating. Hey man im josh ( talk) 22:12, 19 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Redirecting advice

Hello man! I have seen that you review redirects so quickly and efficiently. I was wondering, do you use any script to do so? Thank you and have a nice day! ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 12:27, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply

@ SunDawn: I sure do! I use User:Sohom Datta/fastreview, which pairs well with a lack of rate limit now that I'm an admin. Paired with my significant experience reviewing redirects, I sometimes get into bursts of efficiency and productivity :P Hey man im josh ( talk) 15:25, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply
Thank you! Are there any other script/helpers regarding redirect that is good to be used? Thank you! ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 15:43, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply
@ SunDawn: The only other one I use is WP:CAPRICORN. It took a bit of getting used to, but once I did I loved it. Hey man im josh ( talk) 15:46, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply
Can you tell me a bit about it? I think to place in reasoning for the redirect Twinkle also have similar function. ✠ SunDawn ✠ (contact) 15:48, 20 April 2024 (UTC) reply
Hey @ SunDawn, I'm sorry, I hadn't realized I missed this message. Really I recommend you give it a shot because I don't think I'd do a good job of explaining it. I'm aware that redirect categories exist, and I would use ctrl+f to find the appropriate one in the list until I eventually got comfortable enough to remember where they were when I needed them. Congratulations, Hey man im josh! The list you nominated, List of Tennessee Titans first-round draft picks, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best lists on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured list. Keep up the great work! Cheers, PresN ( talk) via FACBot ( talk) 00:26, 21 April 2024 (UTC) reply

Help with an article

Good afternoon, I wanted to reach out to see if it is possible for you to take a look at the edited article that I recently posted. I was told before to make sure to have reputable awards or nominations in order to qualify as a person worthy of being on Wikipedia, and the person I am writing about just got recently received an award from a very reputable company. Please let me know if you could please take a look at it? The draft is about a musician Nerijus Glezekas.

Thank you, Sincerely Petrichor2.0 Petrichor2.0 ( talk) 18:21, 22 April 2024 (UTC) reply

About User:14 novembre

Hello, I'm an admin and Check User on it.wiki. User:14 novembre is well known on it.wiki (original user Calicanto2023) not only for block escape and sock abusing, but also for repeated trolling (just in the last two days we blocked quite a few interventions as anonymous IP where he declared explicitly both his identity and his will to insist creating socks, abusing service pages such as it.wiki administrators' noticeboard and user assistance pages). He was blocked indefinitely on it.wiki mainly because he was used to perform massive minimal or questionable edits, promoting drafts randomly and things like that. Despite not being a write-only user, he was totally disregarding any advice and indication to correct his way of operations. No way. His typical reaction was "Oh, sorry, I got it" and then going on as before. We had to spend a lot of time and energies in reverting his edits and correcting his mistakes. Apparently, he's now using this sock on en.wiki replicating exactly this same kind of behaviour. Since I noticed you interacted with him recently, I thought it could be useful to you having some background information more about this user (apparently becoming a cross-wiki problem). Regards. Superspritz ( talk) 14:07, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply

@ Superspritz: My limited interaction with them has been to decline their request for permissions (new page reviewer) at WP:PERM/NPR. I did find that someone had started a discussion on their talk page, at User_talk:14_novembre#Sock, in which I also participated a bit. While I understand they've been abusive on the Italian wiki, which is the reason why I declined their request, unless they've been globally blocked on any of their accounts, we have to treat them as a regular user. It seems as though they've been contributing relatively constructively on en.wiki (so far..?) and there's nothing we can really do at this point in time. Luckily there's a talk page discussion that any other admins will possibly find if they request further permissions, but until they break any rules or policies here there's much else to be done. @ Hey man im josh @ Superspritz What is a "write only" user? 14 novembre ( talk) 🇮🇹 15:00, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
@ Superspritz I add that my mistakes on it wiki were made mainly due to inexperience (but there were some constructive edits), and I started contributing here as it appeared that a history of constructive contributions here would have implied a possible unblock on it wiki. However I yesterday said, if, as it appears, there is no chance of getting unblocked, I will continue evading the block, as my main goal is Contributing constructively on it wiki. I want to explain that i recognize my mistakes, and that if I will ever be unblocked on it wiki I will avoid such contributions. However, I would like to know what you think in general, and if you think that there may be a way of gettting unblocked in a few months. Kind regards 14 novembre ( talk) 🇮🇹 15:07, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
@ Hey man im josh I would be very Happy to know what you think. Kind regards 14 novembre ( talk) 🇮🇹 15:13, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
I think you shouldn't have block evaded to begin with. I also do not know what Superspritz meant by write-only user. Hey man im josh ( talk) 16:11, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
A "write-only user" on it.wiki is a user who edits or modifies articles or drafts, but never replies to messages nor to warnings coming from other users, i.e. someone willingly refusing any discussion and ignoring completely any other user's advice or hint. It's one of the most annoying not-cooperative behaviours. In Calicanto2023/14 novembre case, he replied in the discussion but eventually systematically ignored anyway any indications given - this cannot be justified only by stating "I'm new". A new user with good will would have listened to advices coming from more expert users. He never did it. I understand that, as long as he's not causing damages to the project, it's fine. But this is just to let you know what you can expect (don't stop just at his words). -- Superspritz ( talk) 17:08, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
@ Superspritz I have a question. If I contribute constructively for a few months here, may I me unblocked on it wiki. Or is there no chance? 14 novembre ( talk) 🇮🇹 17:48, 24 April 2024 (UTC) reply
