Veo cómo cantas (English: I see how you sing)[1] is a Spanish television mystery music game show series based on the South Korean programme I Can See Your Voice. Since the show's premiere on 8 September 2021,[2][3] it has aired two seasons on
Antena 3.
Gameplay
Format
Presented with a group of nine "mystery singers" identified only by their occupation, a guest artist and contestant must attempt to eliminate bad singers from the group without ever hearing them sing, assisted by clues and a celebrity panel over the course of six rounds. At the end of the game, the last remaining mystery singer is revealed as either good or bad by means of a duet between them and one of the guest artists.[4][5]
The contestant must eliminate one mystery singer at the end of each round, receiving €2,000 if they eliminate a bad singer. At the end of the game, the contestant may either end the game and keep the money they had won in previous rounds, or risk it for a chance to double its winnings by correctly guessing whether the last remaining mystery singer is good or bad. If the singer is bad, the contestant's winnings is given to the bad singer instead.
Rounds
Visual round
By the face (Spanish: Por la cara)
The guest artist and contestant are given some time to observe and examine each mystery singer based on their appearance.[a][b]
Lip sync rounds
Lip sync (Spanish: Sincronización labial)
Each mystery singer performs a lip sync to a song. Good singers mime to a recording of their own performance, while bad singers mime to a recording by someone else.[a][b]
The mystery singer lip syncs to the good singer's recording, then a bad singer's recording comes in the middle of the performance.[b]
Evidence round
Gossip my life (Spanish: Cotillea mi vida)
The guest artist and contestant are presented with a video package in which one of the mystery singers of their choice discusses their life and musical qualifications.[a][b]
Talent round
Musical skill (Spanish: Habilidad musical)
The guest artist and contestant must describe one of the mystery singer's other talents, except "singing" itself. This may not be related to the "stage of truth", but depends on their identity.[a][b]
Rehearsal round
Rehearsal (Spanish: Ensayo)
The guest artist and contestant are presented with video from a recording session by one of the mystery singers of their choice, but pitch-shifted to obscure their actual vocals.[a]
Interrogation round
Interrogation (Spanish: Interrogatorio)
The guest artist and contestant may ask questions to the remaining mystery singers. Good singers are required to give truthful responses, while the bad singers must lie.[a][b]
Following the successful broadcasts of The Masked Singer,
Atresmedia formally acquired the rights to produce a local adaptation of I Can See Your Voice in Spain in November 2020, including with production duties assigned by Warner Bros. International Television Production.[6][7]
Filming of the show took place at a unknown location in
Madrid.[8][9]
