The following is a listing of articles (and other types of content) within the scope of the project that have been noted for their outstanding quality. Project members are encouraged to peruse these at their leisure, as they serve as excellent examples of different writing and organizational styles that one may wish to emulate.

Currently, there are 48  featured articles, 3  featured lists, 1  featured topics, 139  featured pictures, 2  featured portals, and 364  good articles within the scope of the project.

Please note that the project does not necessarily claim authorship or credit for creating these.While many were written by members—sometimes with extensive input from the project as a whole—others were created by uninvolved editors, or predate the existence of the project itself, and are listed here merely because they fall within our scope.

Featured articles

Featured articles are considered to be the best articles in Wikipedia; they must pass through a review process as featured article candidates before being selected. Currently, there are 48 featured articles within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Featured lists

Featured lists are considered to be the best lists in Wikipedia; they must pass through a review process as featured list candidates before being selected. Currently, there are 3 featured lists within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Featured topics

Featured topics are considered to be the best topics in Wikipedia; they must pass through a review process as featured topic candidates before being selected. Currently, there are 1 featured topics within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Currently there are no Featured Topics under the auspices of this project.

Featured images & media

Featured pictures are considered to be the best images available in Wikipedia; they must pass through a review process as featured picture candidates before being selected. Currently, there are 139 featured pictures within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Picture of the Day

The Picture of the Day is an image which is automatically updated each day with an image from Wikipedia:Featured pictures. They must pass through a review process as defined st featured picture candidates before being selected. The Pictures of the Day shown here all fall within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Featured portals

Featured portals are considered to be the best portals in Wikipedia; they must pass through a review process as featured portal candidates before being selected. Currently, there are 2 featured portals within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Good articles

Good articles are articles which are considered to be of good quality but which are not yet, or are unlikely to reach, featured article quality; they must pass through a review process as good article nominations before being selected. Currently, there are 364 good articles within the scope of WikiProject Food and drink.

Did You Know?

Did you know... (DYK) consists of a series of "hooks", which are interesting facts taken from Wikipedia's newest content, in the format "Did you know that...?" Something that appeared on DYK was identified by an editor as being from new or recently expanded content and proposed an interesting "hook" designed to catch the eye of other readers. DYK is not a general trivia section, but is only for articles that have been either, created, expanded at least five-fold or were newly sourced and expanded at least two-fold at the time they were featured on the main page.
