Information
Scope
Covering all articles related to
computer networking. Networks rely heavily on protocols, and that is the primary focus, but it should also include models (e.g.,
OSI model), hardware, and applications.
Like all good Wikipedia articles, each computer networking article should explain the basics (such as what an IP address is) as well as the technical details (such as packet structure).
Here are a few ideas for how to organize articles. These do not necessarily have to correspond to the actual section headers and divisions, and they are no more than suggestions. Conform to them to help improve the article in question.
This article is within the scope of WikiProject Computing, a collaborative effort to improve the coverage of
computers,
computing, and
information technology on Wikipedia. If you would like to participate, please visit the project page, where you can join
the discussion and see a list of open tasks.ComputingWikipedia:WikiProject ComputingTemplate:WikiProject ComputingComputing articles
