Getting bullies & trolls off your back on Wikipedia: The site is well-known for being unfriendly to women and members of the LGBTQ community. This is for members from those and other marginalized groups to learn why not to panic when meta-edits (those messages placed atop and sit on an article), calls for deletion, and challenges to your writing or edits appear, and how to get administrators' involvement on help on particularly biased editors. --

Request - would someone volunteer to talk about Addressing community conduct challenges in volunteer settings? A talk mentioning any issues including mediating conflict, responding to harassment complaints, creating friendly events, and de-escalating tension would be helpful. Wiki is a diverse community and as membership and diversity increases, there are more challenges and even miscommunications which unnecessarily escalate to become more serious. --

Hardware Track--how to expand the reach of the WMF to communities that lack internet access:NYC Mesh has been working alongside Wikimedia-NYC to bring broadband access to low-income residents. We would like to have a participatory and open space for like-minded individuals (Wikipedians!) to get involved, learn more, and contribute to our process and structure conversations. If you're new to this and want to learn more, I will have introductory materials available and can answer any questions about extending the wiki-ethos to physical, community-owned infrastructure. --
