This is a small and recently discovered genus of rodents from Madagascar. The articles on the genus and the three species are all GAs. I intend to submit the lead article and that on V. gymnocaudus to FAC, so that this topic can become a FT. --
Ucucha 09:46, 24 May 2011 (UTC)reply
I forgot to add—if desired, the article on Andreacarus voalavo (a parasitic mite that is only found on Voalavo gymnocaudus) can be included. I would prefer not to have it, since it is not clearly a subtopic of Voalavo (it could be found on other species, for example).
Ucucha 10:05, 24 May 2011 (UTC)reply
Voalavo gymnocaudus is now an FA. Voalavo will probably be my next FAC; if that passes, this will fulfil the FT criteria.
Ucucha 12:25, 12 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Support. Clearly a well-defined category; I do not support the addition of Andreacarus voalavo as this is currently purely for the genus. I know Voalavo antsahabensis is a decent article, as I'm the one who passed it, and the other two, after a brief look through, are looking very nice.
File:Voalavo range.svg could be the picture for this category?

Thanks. I've added the map; it's not very good-looking at this resolution but better than nothing.

I'd like to promote this but would like another comment or two just to make sure nothing's missing.

Since Voalavo is currently at FAC, I'm just going to wait so that this can be promoted as an FT, if that's alright. Makes it easier on both ends I think.
WizardmanOperation Big Bear 00:07, 29 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Sure. Forgot to note here that I had brought it to FAC.
Ucucha 00:08, 29 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Voalavo just passed FAC, so this can now become an FT.

Closed with consensus to promote as Featured Topic. -

I've been working on this for a while, and now that the last reviews are closed it's ready for FTC. This encompases the company Thatgamecompany, its two founders, and the games made by/owned by the company. 4/7 FAs makes it featured; Journey is unreleased but has received a finished peer review. Image is of Chen; it's the only free-use image I have. --PresN 20:17, 11 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Support: meets all featured topic criteria. Great work. For the sake of full disclosure: I was a copyeditor on three of these articles. Shouldn't make much of a difference, but I figured I should make it clear.

Could you add the newly implemented |deadurl=no to all non-dead links for citations, so the primary link for readers remains the original (
example)? The Chen's image does not really represent the whole topic, rather
Jenova Chen, partially
Thatgamecompany and partially games. It sucks that the fair use company's logo image cannot be used here, so I don't really have a solution. —

Deadurls are done. I don't have any other free-use images for the topic, so unless someone wants to whip up an svg of a hand like their logo or something... --PresN 18:36, 13 June 2011 (UTC)reply
I would prefer no image to just Chen's image. But otherwise, support. —

Comment - re: the image, couldn't you crop
File:Cloud Team.jpg to focus on just Santiago and Chen (who conveniently happen to be next to each other)? I know nothing about the subject area, but the article suggests they were the company's two founders, so would that not be an appropriate image.......? --

She isn't a founder of the company. She's an employee hired a couple of years ago; her article contains only two sentences about her working at thatgamecompany. She's primarily notable right now for her work at EA, mainly
Boom Blox and The Sims 2. If after Journey is released the media notes her as critical to the game's success and to the company, I'd gladly GA and add her to the topic, but right now I don't think she fits. --PresN 06:50, 20 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Her article opens with "Robin Hunicke is the producer at thatgamecompany.";
ref states that she "is our Producer Extraordinaire". I'm not too knowledgable about video games, but isn't being the producer a bid deal?
Adabow (

The company only has one producer at a time, since they only make one game at a time, and they make up their own titles. --PresN 16:33, 20 June 2011 (UTC)reply
I would say Hunicke is currently only a related "topic". She is currently notable for other work other than TGC and would probably not pass NOTABLE with TGC connection alone. Then again, if she was included (at some point, such as, Journey release), it would be fine. —

Support, great work, well deserved. Of course, it may be a hard topic to keep up to standard if they increase the speed they produce games, but good luck anyway!

Support Not sure why Journey isn't a FA or GA, but hard work shouldn't go unrewarded. —
TerrenceandPhillip 05:37, 27 June 2011 (UTC)reply
Support to the comment above me, a yet-to-be-released game would never meet the stability requirements for either FA or GA.

Parks and Recreation seasons
one and
two, and I've been working on this topic all season. (Separately, I also have Parks and Recreation nominated for GA.) All the articles are GA now, so I believe the topic is ready. — HunterKahn 14:06, 20 June 2011 (UTC)reply

You Can Dance is not mentioned on
Everybody (Madonna song), unlike the other three articles. This is not an issue to this GC, nor a major problem to those articles, but I believe "Everybody" should cite YCD.
