Despite appearing to be a group of well-compiled charts, these are really arbitrary lists; and there doesn't appear to be any kind of consensus for the determination of the listed guidelines. Also, I have no idea where the bar graph at the top of the article came from. (I didn't give any kind of notification because the creator hasn't been on Wikipedia since 2017; and there are no real regular contributors to the article.) - KEEP It says In order to be included, the song must have been recorded expressly for the film or the film's soundtrack. So just rename it

- If you disagree with it then start a discussion on the talk page. It simply explains what the page was created for. You can't really create a talk page for a page before you create the page itself.

- The rules state you should tell the creater of the article its up for deletion. You had time to mention you didn't do it, the same amount of time it would've taken to actually do it. I went ahead and informed them.

- Actually, it says "While not required..." which, btw, I already explained in my rationale. I generally notify the creator anyway except in cases where the creator appears to have left Wikipedia, which indeed appears to be the case here. Erpert blah, blah, blah... 21:54, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
- Either rename List of hip hop songs written for films or merge to List of songs written for films, but in either case ditch the ones without articles or sources documenting their originality. Songs written for films are a notable topic, e.g. Billboard's "Top 50 Movie Songs Of All Time", Business Insider's (?!) "The 25 best ever songs made for movies, ranked", plus there's the Academy Award for Best Original Song and Category:Songs written for films. I'm not sure if a particular genre needs its own list, however. Clarityfiend ( talk) 22:16, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
- Delete My god that graph is horrible OR! As noted the name is simply wrong, but there are lots of songs in Category:Songs written for films, which is of course only those with individual articles for the songs. Unclear why this would be the only genre here; unclear criteria with many of those listed not having articles, but clearly incomplete. Reywas92 Talk 18:18, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
