wanting to tell the world NEVER to buy a timeshare, and the industry advertising their horse manure there. A few years ago, I was asked to come in and rewrite the entire article, and tell both the positives and negatives of the situation, though I was advised to expose the reality of owning one, and let the article be a warning to anyone contemplating purchasing one, that they couldn't give it away for free if they wanted to, no less ever get their investment back. At the same time, I had to explain the concept in earnest. I was asked, because I was one of the creators of timeshare in the US. I was also on the very first timeshare line in this country. I wrote the history section, and kept going until I got it all covered. This is a very touchy subject in the hearts and minds of timeshare owners. The article has stood almost "untouched" for years, because both sides have learned to live with the facts in it. When you edit this particular article, you open the door for the industry to come back in and do edits, and so on. I thought you would get the message when I rewrote many of your changes without reversing you, and explaining why in the summaries. Please, if you see a MAJOR grammar error, by all means fix it. Other than that please let it be, or the "timeshare wars" are sure to start again. Thank you for understanding. Pocketthis ( talk) 02:23, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Had I vandalized the article, or put in a lot of "fluff" in order to make it one-sided, I could see your reasons for reversing my edits. However, to reverse edits simply because you fear that others in the industry will start an "edit war" is not allowed per Wikipedia. There are tools you can use to report edits that are not in line with Wikipedia guidelines.
Please note, I WILL be reverting the article to show my changes. I do not want to report anyone to Wikipedia, but if you continue to reverse my edits without adequate justification, I will do so. Quidam65 (talk) 13:01, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled " Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to Belk does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. You can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Stevie is the man! Hi, Quidam! Thank you for your participation on Wikipedia!
While reviewing some articles on closed Texas school districts I notice you removed categories and web URls while doing so. Please do not remove the relevant county categories; while the districts no longer exist, they were a part of the histories of the counties. Also please do not remove URLs of school district sites. Instead link to the Wayback Machine:
{{webarchive|http://web.archive.org/*/((insert URL here))|title=Insert name of district}}

Thanks so much for your edit about William L. Mayo's heart attack on the History of Texas A&M University–Commerce article. I had a chance to research it thoroughly, and only found explicit mentions of the chronology in the three sources previously used in the article to support that statement. I've adjusted the wording to reflect the discrepancy between the two sources on the one hand and the one on the other, and you can see what I did on that article (and the explanatory note I created) here. I also made a parallel edit on the History of East Texas Normal College article. Thanks for letting me take the time to research this and edit the articles accordingly. I hope that these edits are satisfactory to you. All the best! Michael Barera ( talk) 03:38, 9 September 2017 (UTC)

5-years-tagged for promotional content, which I agree. No real refs for in-depth reporting of the company (just self-reporting and generic corporate business dealings).

A tag has been placed on Cooke County Electric Cooperative, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, Quidam65. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " Once Upon a Christmas Miracle".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia
mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply and remove the {{db-afc}}
, {{db-draft}}
, or {{db-g13}}
code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. CptViraj (Talk) 18:10, 6 June 2019 (UTC)

Hi. In one of your recent edits you tweaked/corrected the citation of a tweet. In my opinion, that tweet should never have been in the article. There's at least one editor bent on naming the victim; if you see that happen, please revert and alert an administrator. Drmies ( talk) 22:13, 8 May 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for creating articles for the districts of the Texas House of Representatives. Those articles are greatly needed, and appreciated. ★ The Green Star Collector ★ ( talk) 20:25, 13 June 2023 (UTC) |
An article you recently created,
Technology, Exploration and Career Center (Lewisville ISD), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's
general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Hello, Quidam65!
Having an article draft declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the
Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the
Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there!

The article has not been deleted it can be found at Draft:Technology, Exploration and Career Center (Lewisville ISD), where you can improve it without having to worry about it being deleted, whilst you improve it. Noting that the Center's website is a primary source and is therefore not independent or reliable when trying to establish notability. Dan arndt ( talk) 06:42, 29 October 2023 (UTC)
I couldn't help noticing that all your edits are original research. Please note Wikipedia does not permit original research, per WP:OR. Please take a moment to carefully read that policy, and add references to future edits. Thank you for your cooperation. Magnolia677 ( talk) 20:59, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi Quidam65! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Texas that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review

Twice now you have added information to the lead of both articles regarding the other event. This is irrelevant information. Winter Is Coming had nothing to do with Final Battle and vice versa. JDC808 ♫ 05:55, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
Thanks for your contributions to Technology, Exploration and Career Center (Texas). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Just i yaya 05:55, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
