Hello Moscowconnection. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Yamada ryosuke, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Is a plausible, useful redirect or is not a redirect at all. Thank you. Courcelles 02:57, 30 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi Moscowconnection, I am writing to you about the changes to the name "Team Kenkyūsei" that you have made. I believe that it should still retain the name as they are officially known to most people. In fact, pages like Everyday, Kachūsha ans Koko ni Ita Koto use this term. I hink you should just revert it back. Thanks!-- Lionratz ( talk) 13:51, 30 June 2011 (UTC)

Just wanted to take a moment and say thank you for trimming some of the births you put into the Days of the year pages yesterday. I or someone else would have eventually trimmed them to fit the page format. Just to let you know while I'm here, I undid 3 of your edits yesterday, 1 for being in the wrong date page (I only remember it was placed in August instead of April, date number was correct though, possibly 16), and 2 for having conflicting birth dates within the articles with no citations. I did trim 1 or 2 as I was flying to keep up with you :) Ken Tholke ( talk) 13:25, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi Moscowconnection, thanks for helping to improve Japan-related culture. You are right to say that I am not really a big fan of AKB48, since I haven't even attended one of their regular concerts in my country. Furthermore, I am a newbie to this group, so I have made many errors in my edits regarding them. On that note, thanks for pointing out these mistakes.
However, I would like to point out that articles have been ruined because fans of that particular topic spammed the article with too much fan-related information. I want to keep AKB48 articles free of this type of occurrence.
Lastly, I need some help to find more references. As you might have noticed, I have been adding {{citation needed}} tags to sections that lacks them. I am trying my best to avoid these tags, but I really do not know where to find more references. Can you help in this task? In addition, please try your best to include references for any new information that you may add. Cheers!-- Lionratz ( talk) 08:59, 24 April 2012 (UTC)
There are too many sentences explaining how the hell the name is supposed to be written or read. There is nothing inherently wrong about the way I included the katakana because I have not done so in a way that is implying that it is written in Japanese by the katakana. I ahve included it as part of the pronunciation. Do we really need two sentences explaining "C-ute" is pronounced as the English word "Cute"? And why should Japanese text be omitted when you already have the Hepburn romanization on the page. This is getting out of "I disagree with the current formatting" and more "Stay away from my pages" with your reverts. This is particularly telling because you're the one who made that excessive exposition in the first place.— Ryulong ( 竜龙) 23:20, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Cute (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages, and is also a duplication of Cute (disambiguation). Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines on consensus building, before creating duplicate disambiguation pages.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Moscowconnection,
I've had a gander over at the article - looking impressive now. However, I thought I should point out on the infobox (right-hand side of article), where it says Website should really have the band's official website page, and not the URL of their YouTube channel. This could do with being fixed, to keep in accordance with manual of style for infobox parameters. BOT's are prone to do random checks and may end up removing that link if it doesn't recognise it as the official page.
Also, it may be worth taking a break from the article too. The page history only shows you as being the single-editor on the article, which to the community can be seen as someone taking ownership of articles; so please be cautious there; as this would be violating one of the five pillars. Not sure if you know or not, but from what I gather the importance scales are suppose to be set at "low" and then it is up to the project to change them accordingly. Thanks for your clarification! Oh, how else do you think we should improve the article from here on? I know that a lot of content is missing, but exactly what to include is still undefined. It really does not help that no other Japanese idol groups have articles that are ranked GA or above. Do you that that we should refer to K-pop groups that have released singles in Japan, just to use them as models, of course. And I am really sorry if I have added untrue or inaccurate information to the article. Happy editing.-- Lionratz ( talk) 12:47, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi, I mentioned this on the AKB48 article's talk page the other day, but I thought I'd ask again here. What reason is there to include the information about Nogizaka46's choreography controversy on the article for AKB48? As far as I can see, it has no place there. It should be included on Nogizaka46's article, and possibly even Akimoto Yasushi's article, but it has no connection to AKB48. The controversy did not include the AKB48 group in any way, or include any AKB48 members. Could you clarify why you wish to include this information? Kaixa913 ( talk) 07:35, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Hey, M. About the pictures at Cuteness, from where I stand the discussion is pretty much concluded. Nevertheless, to avoid the appearance of rushing things along, I'd wait a couple more days (or make that a full week) before instating an edit request, unless you or someone else beats me to it.
Maybe you saw my last comment there. Imho, the Knut image doesn't add anything of true value to the article either, regardless of its acceptable sourcing. So, although the primary issue was the OR of the other images, maybe the best threshold would be to just not use any "pics of cute things"? It seems you have a hard time accepting anyone else edits on anything that has to do with AKB48. While I tried to assume good faith you are really making it hard seeing how every time I or some else edits the articles you revert them. You are showing ownership over the articles and it is not really helping the article(s) improve nor is it inviting other to feel welcomed to edit those articles. I see that you've reverted my edit at Harlem Shake (meme). If you want to litter the article you're a major contributor to with self-published sources, be my guest. I'm not contributing to that article if constructive changes arent welcome. But please refrain from inappropriately tagging properly sourced material as you did here. The failed verification tag is not to be used to tag information you dont agree with, but for information that meets this criteria. Do not revert the primary contributor of the article. Read the source cited ( [4], second paragraph) and respect my contributions. If you still feel the source cited doesnt mesh with you, discuss it at the article's talk page. Do not get into a silly revert war over a small background detail to a song article. Thank you. Dan56 ( talk) 02:28, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
Use this tag only if:
- an inline citation to a source is given,
- you have checked the source,
- the source does not support what is contained in the article, and
- despite the source not supporting the article, the source still contains useful information on the topic.
This is exactly what happened, exactly. I read the source and saw that the sentence you wrote completely misinterpreted what Billboard wrote. Therefore I added a template. (I now see that you were the one who wrote it or, rather, completely changed in this edit: [5]. I didn't know it.) There are 2 issues with the sentence: misinterpretation and being in contradiction to other sources. Therefore I added 2 templates, 2 separate templates. You may not agree with the {{better source}} template, okay. But you shouldn't remove the {{failed verification}} template. (As for your claim that the {{better source}} template can't be placed cause other sources are "self-published", they aren't self-published. But Billboard is a good source, okay. I understand why you insist.) I didn't change the sentence myself exactly because I respect you contributions. -- Moscow Connection ( talk) 03:02, 18 February 2013 (UTC)

I just removed a dozen videos and a half a dozen covers from this article--that amount of "information" for an article on a single, and not a very notable one at that, is beyond ridiculous. Please don't confuse Wikipedia with MySpace. If you wish to maintain such detailed fan articles, consider Wikia. Thank you. Drmies ( talk) 01:47, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
I took a few minutes to go over your spat with User:Drmies. After that, I did you a favour and removed your last 2 additions to the closed ANI report. You have been told by more than one person exactly why what you're doing is wrong on this project. Admins are required to enforce what wikipedia is for ... complaining otherwise as vociferously as you will not end well. If you truly think you wish to ignore the rules others have provided, and believe the admin has misused their admin powers, then file an WP:RFC/ADMIN. However, anywhere you go, the community will reinforce the fact that it's YOU who are breaking the rules, and will typically side with the person who is enforcing them correctly whether or not its an admin ( ✉→ BWilkins ←✎) 10:06, 28 February 2013 (UTC)
You all must understand that most articles about J-pop and K-pop that are being created in the English Wikipedia are about the top acts in their countries. You can't compare them with a person who ranked in the United States at the bottom of Billboard Hot 100. Look at this deletion discussion, for example. Drmies proposed the article for deletion, and suddenly the single happened to be the 13th best-selling single in Japan in 2012. " Manatsu no Sounds Good!" is simply the best selling single of 2012. There are so many barely notable songs on Wikipedia, but surely, you all had to pick on this one. -- Moscow Connection ( talk) 14:50, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Up Front Group, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page, or a redirect loop.
If you can fix this redirect to point to an existing Wikipedia page, please do so and remove the speedy deletion tag. However, please do not remove the speedy deletion tag unless you also fix the redirect. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. - Camyoung54 talk 23:13, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I know little information about Hello Project nowadays. I based the template off of its Japanese counterpart... well, somewhat. I guess we can put S/mileage under Current Groups. What do you think? And yeah, I actually find the template bulky with all the former/current subgroups as well. Everything after "I don't really want to discuss any editor personally" is completely irrelevant (who cares what edits they've made on other wikis?) and inappropriate. I strongly usge you to delete that entire portion of your remarks. Ladyof Shalott 01:53, 13 May 2013 (UTC)

This may sound dumb, but how do I create a brand new page? Is there a short tutorial somewhere online I can glance at? I don't need or want to create a new page right now, but I may want to at some point in the future. I was thinking about fleshing out wiki's Japanese dramas/movies section (it's woefully lacking, asianwiki.com is much more thorough). Anyway, thanks for stopping by and saying hello! Hiya, can you check the wording on the lead sentence for AKB48#Members, and make corrections onto the footnote if I interpreted the chart incorrectly? - AngusWOOF ( talk) 16:26, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
(Names are arranged in gojuon order, as appearing on the official website, and include ranks (footnote) from each of the annual general elections starting from 2009.)
footnote: In the annual general election, the candidates are ranked 1-64 or x. A grey space in the table means the member was not a candidate for the election.

Hi, I have submitted some merge requests for various AKB48 song covers done by the sister groups such as " Koi Suru Fortune Cookie" with " Fortune Cookie Yang Mencinta (JKT48 song)". If you can chime in on Talk:Koi Suru Fortune Cookie that would be great. This will likely affect other covers such as " River (AKB48 song)" and " Heavy Rotation (song)" Will try to preserve as much data about each single as we can, including the personnel for the covers. For the AKB48 discography music videos section, I recommend removing the album and no. reference, so that it just lists the video, director, performance group if it lists a title other than AKB48, and then add a column for notes and references, as with Beyoncé_Knowles_videography#List_of_music_videos. The music video can always be linked back to the appropriate singles articles. Notes can be used for video charting or details like the large number of extras for Koi Suru, or how that sister group made 63 different versions of the same music video and set a Guinness World Record as a result. - AngusWOOF ( talk) 14:45, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Flying Get Regular Edition Type B cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi, I was the one who reviewed your DYK nomination. How did Dayana do at the 2013 Junior Eurovision contest? Yoninah ( talk) 13:58, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Moscow,
It was pointed out a while about about using YouTube links on external link sections. See Wikipedia:External links#Links normally to be avoided. It was already decided not to use them on Eurovision-related articles to avoid potential copyright violations. Wes Mᴥuse 14:17, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
I'm very sorry I've just reverted your revert. You see, it is not forbidden to add YouTube links if they are official. I didn't say anything yesterday cause the article about JESC 2013 didn't have the links to start with. According to Wikipedia guidelines, you had every right to revert me on the page that didn't have the links before I came. I had to start a discussion on the talk page to put the links back.
I would really hope that you let me add the links cause I think we all are interested in helping people to know more about Eurovision song contests. One picture is worth a thousand words. Adding links like this is natural. If paper encyclopedias could contain complete texts of everything, complete videos depicting all the events in the history of mankind, I am sure they would print them all too. We, here in the Internet, have this opportunity, and we should link Wikipedia to everything, to all the sites containing more knowledge about the events. I like tables and videos because they are either easier to comprehend or contain more information than any text in a Wikipedia article could ever contain.
I see some red squares again. Probably you reverted me again or posted on my talk page. I have to go now, but I will revert you back until the community of Wikipedia editors comes to some sort of consensus to remove the links. Sorry.
Just think, would it be better if the readers could just watch the complete event instead of reading all these (horrible) articles? (My articles are horrible, I know it.) I personally think that I would prefer a YouTube link to the whole article about JESC 2013.
As for your invitation to join the Eurovision Project... You see, my interest in Eurovision is occasional. And all my interest in Wikipedia is occasional lately too... I can't really... I'm still here on Wikipedia cause sometimes I see something that I want people to know about, so I return to add an article about it to Wikipedia... Now I think I probably shouldn't have returned to the English Wikipedia again... I really don't understand why people insist like this and revert me... Were these links useful? They certainly were. -- Moscow Connection ( talk) 14:42, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
Since you reverted me again, theatened me with WP:ANI (what for, who reverted who first and how many times?), notified Drmies saying that I was the one who dragged him into this discussion (if it was me, then what is the link saying "18 months ago" doing there, on top of this discussion?), etc., then let's stop this, okay? Please... I don't agree with you and I think there isn't much logic in what you say about violating copyright (the videos are uploaded by the European Broadcasting Union)... But who cares... Okay? (I didn't want to reply at all, but I thought someone might read this thread and think that I did something wrong... Please don't be angry if I don't reply... My plans were to go away for some time...) -- Moscow Connection ( talk) 18:37, 3 December 2013 (UTC)
"Could you show me where it was decided that Eurovision-related articles can't contain any links to YouTube? If there was such a decision, I will obey.", although you further added
"(I would have to start a new discussion about it and so on, but I don't care about Eurovision-related articles enough to do it...)"which implies that you were not going to obey even if a decision to omit YT links was agreed. The second bullet-point of this project discussion which reads
"Link to the Eurovision.tv website should be enough. Allowing in fansites is just going to open the flood gates and is more trouble than its worth. Many videos on YouTube are copyvios and those should not be linked to per WP:YT. CT Cooper · talk 3:24 pm, 30 May 2012, Wednesday (1 year, 6 months, 6 days ago) (UTC+1)". There is the decision not to have YT links in the external section. And that I believe concludes this debate. Happy editing! Wes Mᴥuse 06:44, 4 December 2013 (UTC)
This source appears to be a webzine, and as such would by definition fail WP:RS by a country mile. Please do not use it as a source for anything. Similarly, adding Youtube links to band articles has long contravened WP:EL. Please don't. That is what Google, or indeed Youtube, are for. We are supposed to be an encyclopedia, not advertising space. Blackmetalbaz ( talk) 20:07, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

Please do not blindly revert to restore content that actually is on the article presently. Your edit removed every single improvement to formatting (removal of birth prefectures, conversion of {{ birth date}} to {{ birth date and age}}) that the talk page thought was beneficial. I only removed the table for the kenkyusei in my recent edits. It's pointless for them because they have no votes.— Ryūlóng ( 琉竜) 19:19, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
For fucks sake stop reverting me. The version I've produced is actually liked by people on the talk page. They are all in agreement that the prefecture information is pointless. Stop reverting. Stop breaking everything that I fixed in the older versions. There were so many god damn malformed dates of birth in there. There were abbreviated ones, ones that weren't provided in the proper formatting, and names that were just written wrong. I have been actively discussing the edits on the talk page. You have not. This is the new consensus version. Stop reverting me and discuss shit on the talk page now.— Ryūlóng ( 琉竜) 13:56, 14 January 2014 (UTC)
Check the source. It's subtitled in English. They say exactly what I put there. Don't remove sourced information just because you think it is irrelevant. The origins of the name of a band or any other subject is such a basic information, no wonder many articles at Wikipedia have sometimes entire sections covering etymology. Since when the official website of a band is the only valid source? Not everything about a topic will be in its official website, you know. That's why we have magazines, newspapers, books, etc. And how do you know they simply "decided to invent a clever story" for the name? Blabbermouth is a reliable source, but I will add a direct link to Razor TV since that's the precise source. If you're still somehow against the addition of sourced valid information, you are invited to explain your reasons at the topic I just created at the article's talk page. Let's center the discussion there. If we don't reach an agreement, I'll resource to content dispute resolution. Victão Lopes Fala! 17:19, 19 January 2014 (UTC)
I'm really sorry about the article. I reacted with mild shock when I saw it in the preparation area for the Main Page. I know you have put in a lot of effort into it, and it's easy for someone to just come in and criticise it to death. I can understand how you might be feeling, and I hope you will not be driven away by this minor setback. This could have been avoided if the dyk reviewer was more experienced and gave you hints to improve it, but I'm disconcerted that it seems that's not what DYK reviews are about. I have contacted one experienced editor resident in Japan who I hope could help out. Failing which, you should post on WP:JAPAN for editors familiar with the language and culture, and WP:BIOGRAPHY to better understand the job of writing biographies. Your recent editing history at AKB48 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. DAJF ( talk) 08:26, 31 January 2014 (UTC)

Hi, I see you've started translating the titles to the citations per my suggestion. I'd just like to point out that your efforts at this point in time would be most effective if focussed at getting the content right. You are already aware that the translations may eventually be useful but are principally as a courtesy to the non-Japanese reader. What's more, until the content issue is settled, you will not know the final scope of translation effort. If eventually some content needs to be removed, you precious time and effort will have been optimised without having done unnecessary translations. First, this is just painfully incorrect romanization per WP:MOS-JA. No one puts an apostrophe after the N unless it comes before a vowel or a Y kana. Next, you are wrong in your determination of what it means. It is not an abbreviation of "no"; "n da" is the informalized "n desu" copula, and because it's such a short, it's just combined with the previous word. My only source that's Japanese that has this things name in English is Rakuten who are categorizing it as "NAITEMO IINDAYO". I think this is a good enough correction to separate the two particles. If you think this is wrong, start a move discussion because now you completely ruined any chance I had of moving it to a compromise title of "Naite mo Iin Da yo" because you had to make a billion redirects.— Ryūlóng ( 琉竜) 08:48, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Where is Viktor Yanukovych? (VIDEO, UPDATE)
Today's great guessing game is where ex-Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is hiding out. Border guards said they stopped his plane in Donetsk trying to leave the country on Feb. 22, but have not said anything publicly today. Member of parliament Vitali Klitschko said today that he doesn't know where Yanukovych went, nor were his whereabouts disclosed in parliament today. Amid the uncertainty, rumors have swirled, with places such as the United Arab Emirates or Russia as possible destinations abroad or, if he's still in Ukraine, somewhere in his home oblast of Donetsk, where he was the regional governor for several years.
A videotape shot at an unknown location and released to the pro-government UBR business channel for broadcast on Feb. 22 is all that Yanukovych left the public for clues.

Now it's an inch closer to being dead. It probably wouldn't have been a better idea to have given up on the one image earlier, that would have brought it through faster and none of this would have happened. Sadly, it looks like it's slowly but surely going to finish with nothing. Though I'm looking at this in hindsight, but forcing the specific image with no room for compromise probably was unnecessary, and this was pretty much the only reason for the huge delay. -- benlisquare T• C• E 15:37, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
I'm going to be frank here, MC. If you're not going to do anything about the page, you shouldn't expect me to do anything about it. I'm already satisfied that it passed for DYK on the Chinese Wikipedia. If the wind blows and AfD happens again, or if it gets maintenance-tagged to oblivion, I'm not going to get overly concerned over it; I've got exams soon, and the last thing I want to do is spend time on this. The Russian Wikipedia has a plethora of information, and none of it is being brought over; the main beef that people have over here is that there is too little information that is not related to the internet on that page. I've probably already made it clear that I'm not someone people should rely on for looking for Russian-language sources. -- benlisquare T• C• E 14:55, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
Re this and this: It seems that you are edit warring and ought to consider your position carefully. Whatever doubts I had about your love of cruft have now evaporated. There is little encyclopaedic benefit in putting in more pretty pictures than is necessary to make the case. One image is quite enough, and five is simply overkill, even if the images are free. There is already a link to the commons gallery, so insisting on having them all in the article is much like placing trivia in the article. -- Ohc ¡digame! 16:16, 29 April 2014 (UTC)

Moscow, I appreciate the edit summary, but I think you and I have a very different understanding of what "the news" means. For instance, I read two Dutch newspapers, the New York Times, the local US paper, and NPR on my iPhone; I watch MSNBC and CNN and occasionally Fox, and when the spirit moves me I read Time, the Frankfurter Allgemeine, and the Guardian. And the BBC website. I have been doing that for years, and I can tell you that K-pop is not often mentioned in that news. Thank you, Drmies ( talk) 20:13, 26 May 2014 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Babymetal shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war.
If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Hello! ^_^
I'm expanding the article "
Babymetal (album)" in my native tongue (portuguese:
pt:Babymetal (álbum)) and I want to know if you can help me with a little thing. In the critiscism section of the article (
BABYMETAL (アルバム), I saw you edit the article), in the professional critic box, there's the name of the authors of the critics. I'd translated with google translator the name of those authors:
安田謙一 (google translated as "Yasuda Kenichi")
宗像明将 (google translated as "Munakata AkiraSusumu" [I think this one is pretty wrong])
原田和典 (google translated as "Harada Kazunori")
南波一海 (google translated as "Nanba Ichiumi")
山村哲也 (google translated as "Tetsuya Yamamura").
Well, I want to know if you can help me with correct romanized names. Thanks in advance!! \(^u^)/ — Preceding

You currently appear to be engaged in an
edit war according to the reverts you have made on
Babymetal. Users are expected to
collaborate with others, to avoid editing
disruptively, and to
try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's
talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents
consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an
appropriate noticeboard or seek
dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary
page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be
blocked from editing.
I'm sorry but no matter what I do you do not listen to reason, you constantly show signs of
WP:OWNER and you keep reverting my edits just on the basis of
WP:JUSTDONTLIKEIT. I find it odd that every time I make an edit you revert it, even though these edits where a first on this article for several days, your contributions list is empty apart from the last reverts you made days ago and then no edits until today, It's like no one else is allowed to contribute to this page but yourself. I will be replying to the comments you have made on the article's talk page but I wil revert your edit as I in fact do have consensus from several other editors and you have none, please refrain from reverting this edit before you yourself gains consensus as you are in fact starting up this edit war and I will be forced to report you as you do not collaborate fairly.

Hi. Thanks for listing the issues that need attention at Talk:Babymetal. Itemizing them like that makes it much easier for other editors (myself included) to see what might need changing. You were doing a great job up until this point, but then subsequent edits re-introduced stuff about who reverted who, which just starts to cloud the discussion with pointless bickering again. The whole point of the discussion was to concisely outline the issues that need addressing without introducing personal or emotional stuff about other editors' actions. Could you please consider removing your subsequent comments about individual editors, so that we can all concentrate on improving the article wording and formatting? Thanks. -- DAJF ( talk) 03:55, 8 August 2014 (UTC)

Finally I just found a reliable source about Kami-Band's first live with BABYMETAL. Here! The craziest thing is that we use this website as source on BM's article, but I didn't "flipped" the pages to see what's more. We all knew that LEGEND "I" was KB's first live with BM, but now It can be sourced :D Btw, I couldn't find (yet) any source about Leda and Yuya in the Kami-Band :P
[edit]: It can be found in the pic on the end of the page. [「I、D、Z~LEGEND“I”」のアンコールでは「メタルの神々」が召喚され、初めての生バンド演奏が披露された(撮影/Taku Fujii)]!

The very fact that you refer to it as becoming "part of Russia" shows that you have a biased point of view. Furthermore, the claim that "Crimea sought secession" is 100% POV, and is based on the assumption that people of Crimea genuinely wanted to cede from Ukraine, which is not something that has ever been proven by fact. You are the one who kept reverting my edits without reasonable explanation. Now you say that the annexation happened later, so I changed it to "during the Crimean crisis". Having the words "Crimea sought seccession" is 100% POV and is not appropriate. Impulsion 01:20, 22 December 2014 (UTC)

Someone's just told me that the Russian Wikipedia article at ru:Kantai Collection was apparently partially blanked due to a copyright complaint. Do you think you can help out a bit and paraphrase the text so that it's no longer a copyright problem? -- benlisquare T• C• E 11:19, 19 April 2015 (UTC)
Naturally, people won't agree with one another (that's a fact of life), but on enwiki it's often percieved that editors who have more friends have more influence over things they don't like, many people from the Chinese Wikipedia often repeat this complaint when they talk about the English Wikipedia. To an outsider or long-term observer, this place looks like it has an old boy network of folks who joined in the early days and know each other very well. I mostly avoid getting into these things and try to distance myself wherever possible, but if you're just not feeling like being amongst all this, moving over to a different language Wikipedia project can help with cooling off steam if enwiki is causing you frustration.
I don't know what ruwiki is like, but I personally find that people on the Chinese Wikipedia are much more friendly, and there's less drama and cronyism. I go over there if I ever need a break from enwiki and need to unwind. Give ruwiki a go, and see if you feel better doing long-term contributions over there. -- benlisquare T• C• E 18:30, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on EXPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello there. Concerning your edits on the Babymetal article, you wrote that "...the source says it's a play on the words...". The issue I have with this is the usage of the expression "the word baby ryhmes with...". I do not speak Japanese. Could you therefore please point out to me where exactly in that trendy.nikkeibp.co.jp reference the author uses the Japanese word for rhyme, which, according to Online translation sites is 韻. If the text doesn't use the Japanese word for rhyme, then it also shouldn't appear in the Babymetal article.
I think this is the section of the reference you are referring to:
BABYMETALでは、メンバー3人のかわいらしさとメタルの激しさとのギャップ感を大切にしている。「ヘビーメタル」をもじった「BABYMETAL(ベビーメタル)」というネーミングは“お告げ”によって降りてきたものだが、“BABY”でかわいらしさ、“METAL”で激しさをわかりやすく示すことができ、また「新しいメタルが誕生する」という願いも込めて採用した。

Hey Moscow.
I prodded that as I did not feel it was a particularly controversial delete. Two reasons; under WP:MUSIC under Criteria for musicians and ensembles it states 'Note that members of notable bands are redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band, such as solo releases'. As far as I could gather Yamamoto did not display any notability outside of the band and that photobook sells because she is a member of the group and cannot be described as a career as such. Secondly, I used Apink as a template, especially the discussions there on individual member pages on the Talk:Apink page and the AfD discussion related to that. The consensus there was that only Jung Eun-ji qualified to have her own page as she had developed her own acting career away from the band.
I did do a search on Yamamoto and that generated a lot of entries but all in relation to AKB48 and NMB48 - and a reference to a jewelry designer based in the Netherlands, which someone else entirely. So am I inclined to do an AfD about this one I'm afraid as considering the above there is no real evidence of a Yamamoto having a career outside the band. That said I'll be happy to be proven otherwise. Karst ( talk) 15:37, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

The twitter is NOT listed on WikiData, the otomeshinto.com is NOT the official homepage of the subject (it works, it is a fansite). Those links all fail our inclusion standards, see WP:ELNO/ WP:ELMINOFFICIAL. You may be unfamiliar with the Sicilian long-term cross wiki vandal, if so, please see the summary
here. There is consensus that their edits should be reverted as per
Wikipedia:Revert, block, ignore - This particular IP has already been blocked, following my request.
Their vandalism is best described as "sneaky", as they start with correct edits and then start sneaking the vandalism in, once they think they have lulled people into a false sense of security. This isn't just a problem on the English Wikipedia - they also vandalize Italian Wikipedia -

I'll leave this a day while you work out what is correct, but according to the articles he is NOT a songwriter, so therefore the songwriter cat is wrong. If that is incorrect then it makes sense to move all the entries to the songwriter cat and delete the music by cat. At no point is there any help for anybody having both cats, it would be category clutter. -- Richhoncho ( talk) 09:41, 11 November 2017 (UTC)

I noticed your reversion of my edit to two articles about Babymetal, which were mainly to convert allcaps to title case in citations. You said that MOS:CAPS is about Wikipedia articles, not about references, and that the original article titles should never be changed.
That is not correct. Please see more specifically Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Capital_letters#All_caps_and_small_caps. The first bullet of this section is about newspaper headlines and specifically mentions citations, which is where newspaper headlines are usually found in Wikipedia. Citations are also mentioned in one of the later bullet points in this section of the Manual of Style. Furthermore, the allcaps 'BABYMETAL' is merely the stylized form of Babymetal, as stated in the first sentence on that Wikipedia page. Wikipedia should not be using standard English lettering whenever possible, not promoting any entity with their own style lettering, whether in the body of an article or elsewhere.
I agree that typos in references should not be changed because search functions may not be able to find citations if one is searching for an original title, but fixing allcaps doesn't cause that problem.
I've spent many hours reducing allcaps in articles that I have usually landed on when searching for typographical errors as part of the Wikipedia Typo Team. Wrestling and certain types of entertainment articles (I guess those are the same thing, in a way) are frequent offenders, but so are 'regular' newspaper articles such as from the New York Times. As mentioned in the Wikipedia Manual of Style, these headlines are often imported in allcaps but should get reduced to sentence or title case in almost every instance. (And I don't believe anybody has ever reverted any of my edits because of ALLCAPS.) Please reconsider your reversions on these pages - allcaps is just yelling.
Thanks.

Hi. Could you please give me a reason for removing my edits on the article of Anatoly Shariy. The Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group is a respected organization which is relevant enough to have an own Wikipedia article. An "awful" looking website is not a reason for removing information. The article that I have used as reference contains no controversial or disputed information. Every media sources ( [40] [41]) agree that Shariy was charged because of the McDonalds incident. Shariy never denied this information.-- KastusK ( talk) 20:08, 24 February 2019 (UTC)
Shariy said that the incident at McDonald's was no coincidence, because earlier he began investigating the subject of illegal drug trade that "was covered, speaking directly, led, by the Interior Ministry." According to the journalist, the police conducted their investigation into the shooting at McDonalds in four days, trumped up a criminal case against him under Part 4, Article 296 of the Criminal Code (hooliganism committed with a firearm) and sent it to the courts.

I noticed you renamed Frances & Aiko, but the group debuted only in Taiwan only under the name 大小姐 and their URL is lists the translation "Big Small Sister." Chinese groups, unlike Japanese, usually have their names translated instead of keeping it Romanized. I think it's inaccurate to keep the group's name as "Frances & Aiko" especially since they never debuted under that name and it was only a placeholder until they actually debuted. lullabying ( talk) 16:12, 22 April 2019 (UTC)

This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Hello,
Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.
I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!
From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.
If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.
Thank you!

A tag has been placed on Angie Gold requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Angelina (French singer) has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
This article is grossly over cited. Only one reputable source is required when a fact is added to an article. Some facts here are supported by six or more citations! This is completely unnecessary and makes editing the article a chore. Also, since the article is tagged with a dmy date format tag, dates in the citation should also appear in the same format. I would suggest that you work your way through the article and remove the excess citations leaving only the most reputable.
Best of luck with the DYK.

Hi. Perhaps you still do this or have done it elsewhere, I'm not sure, but I have recently noticed that years ago, you started a number of Japanese artists' articles and in the discography section wikitables, used Template:Start date to format the date. The template's documentation explicitly states it should never be used outside templates that emit microformats, which it was built for. This means it should not be used in wikitables, but only really infoboxes, so please just type the date out if you make these tables in future. Thanks. Ss 112 03:58, 18 March 2020 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Anatoly Shariy ; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Please note that your recent behavior against me is not really fair and constructive. We currently have an ongoing discussion that you have started yourself, to which I wrote a very detailed comment. Instead of adequately replying to it, you've said that you " don't have time to read this", yet you proceeded to revert my edits with summaries saying that I'm "disrupting Wikipedia" ( [1], [2]). Don't you think it's already a bit unfair and uncivil?
Furthermore, you have flooded my talk page with {{ uw-3rr}} which doesn't seem appropriate at all. You know very well that I've never been anywhere near violating the 3RR, and if it wasn't for WP:Don't template the regulars, you might have received {{ uw-tempabuse1}} in return.
Worse yet, you continue your move war against my essay and you cast aspersions on me. Especially this: " I don't think it is a wise idea to waste much time on this. Cause the user seems to be very uncooperative." is clearly a personal attack. Note that any issues that I might have had in ruwiki (that I don't edit for almost two years now) have nothing to do with enwiki (where I always have been in a perfectly good standing, ever since July 2012).
Slow down please, and resort to a fair and civil discussion. — Mike Novikoff 21:30, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

You don't need to create every article on an Elvis song with a disambiguated title, such as you did with The Sound of Your Cry (Elvis Presley song). The base title is The Sound of Your Cry and there is no other article on Wikipedia using that title, it is just a redirect to an Elvis album. Always try the base title first, and if that's unavailable use "(song)" as the disambiguator if there is no other song with that title. If there are multiple songs with the same title, then use "(Elvis Presley song)". Thanks. Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars Talk to me 19:47, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

The article Kawaii metal has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Not a credible genre of music with enough history or actual usage of the term within artists. As far as I'm aware, Babymetal is the only artist who have actively used the term. If being a metal band with pop vocals is enough to be "kawaii metal", why don't we start slapping the term on bands like Nightwish? The insistence that "kawaii metal" is a credible genre of music with a history of artists actually using and embracing the term is laughable; it's literally only been Babymetal and western journalists gassing them up who have used the term frankly almost a decade ago. It's straight up just not a thing in Japan where this "scene" is alleged to be taking place and if anything, this page should be replaced or renamed to "alt-idol" or "chika idol", which are actual terms in Japan used to describe idols who blend edgy rock/metal aesthetics with being idols. When more artists start using the term rather than just journalists, then I'll stop nominating this page for deletion. Until then it's just glorified orientalism and fetishization. About as credible as anime nerds thinking that Japan is some kind of apolitical anime wonderland. Grow up.

From a living user -- not a bot.
Hi Moscow Connection,
(I'm not complaining, this is just an idea/suggestion.)
On your Talk page I wanted to know/see how many topics there are.
When I scrolled down the content table of your Talk page, I had to scroll down quite a while. You just passed 444. Respect! (I have heard, the Russians love such numbers.)
But after a while I thought: It would be nice to have a button/link, named something like:
[ To the bottom of the Table of Content ].
And if you wanted to "put the dot on the i" (meaning: top this) this button/link would be visible always (within the ToC), no matter which section is visible currently (like the header band of some normal tables).
My first idea was: An anchor at the bottom of and within the ToC (but this could be tricky).
My second idea: An anchor before the first actual header (this would be no technical challenge).
My last idea: I could just click into the top most line in the ToC, and when the text is made visible, scroll up a few lines.
But this only is possible if the top of the ToC is already visible.
I also tried [Ctrl]+[End] (with the "writing position indicator" in the ToC ) but it led to the bottom of the whole page.
Or, maybe, a counter for the number of topics -- if this is possible technically.
This way such a question like mine would be answered without any scrolling.
On the other hand:
When I loaded my first topic up to your Talk page, this took much more time than loading my edits up to any other page (of any wikipedia). And this was so with every action which the wiki software had to do with your page, like:
I guess this is due to the impressive number of topics.
I think, now I understand, why some owners use an archive.

Hi Moscow Connection - according to MOS:DAB#Page naming, disambiguation page titles should be the ambiguous term, unless there is a primary topic. I was going to move Touch of Your Lips (disambiguation) to Touch of Your Lips, however, since all of the titles are "The Touch of Your Lips", another option would be to move the DAB page to The Touch of Your Lips (disambiguation) with The Touch of Your Lips as the primary topic. I'm really not sure what you are trying to do with
Bim bam toi. In
my edit (please examine the page) I used the template with the ‡ footnote, which reads, very clearly "Sales+streaming figures based on certification alone". It does not signify sales, it signifies a mixture of sales and streaming. You reverted with the summary the song didn't sell 100 thousand
, which of course it didn't and that's not what the template is saying. Perhaps you are not aware of the fact that the {{
Certification Table Entry}} template is used with the ‡ footnote in 16342 pages. It is the result of a very long lasting (12 years now) consensus and effort to standardize record certifications, which you are working against. --

If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. ✗ plicit 06:56, 29 March 2024 (UTC)

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
