[File:Information.svg|25px|alt=Information icon]] Hello, I'm DreamRimmer. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Jay Wright—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. – DreamRimmer ( talk) 16:31, 31 January 2024 (UTC) reply

@ DreamRimmer: Look again: we don't allow redlinked articles on disambiguation or list pages. You should know that. 81.187.192.168 ( talk) 16:32, 31 January 2024 (UTC) reply
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
No problem at all! It was just a misclick. I'm sorry if it caused any inconvenience or wasted your time. – DreamRimmer ( talk) 16:36, 31 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Trivia

Hello. Please refrain from undoing my changes. If you think what I added is not suitable, you might want to open a dispute. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yotamabramson ( talkcontribs) 15:10, 4 February 2024 (UTC) reply

I'll tell you what I told you when you were editing logged out: Wikipedia's rules on this are here. You are free to dispute this rule, which has existed for 18 years, by asking at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style/Trivia sections. 81.187.192.168 ( talk) 15:14, 4 February 2024 (UTC) reply
I've removed the section again. "In popular culture" sections must have secondary sourcing to show they are relevant, this is not optional. See Wikipedia:"In popular culture" content. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested « @» ° ∆t° 15:55, 4 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Information icon Hello, I'm NoobThreePointOh. I noticed that you recently removed content from Ya'akov Riftin without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. NoobThreePointOh ( talk) 11:30, 22 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Yeah, well done with this under-researched revert. Five seconds of checking would've told you what was going on, but you just had to be first on the button and score those internet points, didn't you? Golf clap. 81.187.192.168 ( talk) 11:33, 22 February 2024 (UTC) reply
I've never used AntiVandal before but it looks like a very fast recent changes patrolling and reversion tool. I use Twinkle and often times I find myself outpaced by editors using Huggle or AntiVandal. Definitely room for error if you go too fast with it I guess. I have informed NoobThreePointOh on their user talk page explaining that the template removal was appropriate. Regards, —  AP 499D25 (talk) 11:48, 22 February 2024 (UTC) reply
@ 81.187.192.168 Okay dude. I'm sorry. You didn't need to get this fired up. I was looking on AntiVandal and thought it was wrong to remove content like that. Got too hasty right there. NoobThreePointOh ( talk) 11:49, 22 February 2024 (UTC) reply
@ AP 499D25 And yes, I agree. That was all my fault. NoobThreePointOh ( talk) 11:49, 22 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Notice of noticeboard discussion

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is User Jalen Folf deleted a page that is clean with resources. Thank you. Jalen Folf (talk) 21:53, 29 February 2024 (UTC) reply

You are not at fault. I am merely linking you this discussion because I see you were also involved in the opposition of the user falsely reporting me here. Jalen Folf (talk) 21:54, 29 February 2024 (UTC) reply
Yeah, WP:AGF notwithstanding, the article hijacking + the promotional tone + the removal of maintenance tags + the dramatic escalation + the shrill attempt to get you blocked at ANI would very much seem to prove my initial feeling that this editor has a conflict of interest or is being paid to add this single-store supermarket to en.wp. It’s a classic pattern. 81.187.192.168 ( talk) 23:48, 29 February 2024 (UTC) reply

Re: Changes on Wikipedia page

Hi! Thank you for your message about my change on the "Carbondale, Illinois" wikipedia page. The information I added is what I found by coming to Carbondale myself and talking to several people from the place. Since this is knowledge I picked up myself, there is no citation, but this is also only an additional link in the "See also" section and doesn't affect the content of the article. This is a link to another Wikipedia page and not an external source so this is not to anyone's profits. Thank you! Hnmphuong ( talk) 16:31, 6 April 2024 (UTC) reply

@ Hnmphuong: Wikipedia doesn't allow things you have observed for yourself to be added to articles – everything must be backed with a link to what other, reliable sources have said. Additionally, whilst it's fascinating that the name is common in that town, so are many other names; we don't want trivial things like that adding to our articles. Please don't add the link again. 81.187.192.168 ( talk) 16:51, 6 April 2024 (UTC) reply
