Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles ( talk) 23:16, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
First sorry for Shion Tsuji. I did not notice that Oricon improved their website to include charts rank with each artist list of releases as it was for Shion Tsuji. Now the evil point, i should point you that just using http://ranking.oricon.co.jp/ as refs in other discography for ranking isn't great anymore because we do have access the more accurate links as shown in Shion Tsuji case. The sales information will unfortunately remain to the Oricon subscribers. -- KrebMarkt 08:57, 16 June 2010 (UTC)
I'm a knowledgeable editor in anime related soundtracks article.
There is no Manual of Style for anime related soundtracks unfortunately. All that was done so far is based on first hand editing experience which created some best editing practices for such articles.
In contrary of clearly defined artists or groups of artists, Oricon will not make it easy for sourcing meaning you are at pointing one source per CDs. I love when Oricon use the generic "TVサントラ" term for artist of an OST.
For what is worth checking:
For the anime you mentioned:
Note: In those two cases, it may be wise to have user:Juhachi to join in as he is already involved in those two series & he is a very experienced editor. Clannad GA that him.
That's an exhaustive starting point. I don't see how to evolve it.
Those i will give them a shot and see if there enough for a spin-out article but at least there should be enough materials for a sub-section in the related articles.
Not that I haven't considered doing something for some of these series, just I never really gave it serious thought. A few years back, I created a bunch of anime soundtrack lists ( List of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni soundtracks, List of Maria-sama ga Miteru albums, List of Haruhi Suzumiya albums, List of Lucky Star albums, plus the soundtrack lists in Category:Key Sounds Label, and many others), and for the most part, I feel most of those lists either shouldn't have been created, or were done in the wrong way. Not that we can't have well-done soundtrack articles, as evidenced by List of Popotan soundtracks getting FL (much to my surprise), just the majority of the information on the lists contain info that could easily be merged into a music section on a main article, including any Oricon chart rankings. The only info that you can't really merge has to do with the track listings themselves, but that's not really a big loss IMO. The fact is, I've taken a step back from album lists, and haven't created one for over a year. Now, even though I'm reluctant to start them, I'm more opposed to the idea of having 20+ separate K-On! album articles (seen at Talk:K-On!#List of K-On! albums) than a simple list which could consolidate all of them, but do I want to make a list of all those albums; frankly, no. I would stick with putting it on the main article of the anime series.-- 十 八 09:03, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
The song is "Manifesto" (the words are in bold lettering on the cover) and the third parameter in {{ nihongo}} is for the romaji of the subject in the 2nd parameter. If it's a song, this is not where the English name of the song goes.— Ryūlóng ( 竜龙) 17:29, 23 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello!
I asked that question:
"What would be the best way to find out how much it sold the single Natsu Matsuri "(夏 祭り," Summer Festival ") of the band Whiteberry?"
"Is there a link to this site on the Oricon?"
I ask this favor, sorry my bad English...
and 夢 answered back:
"Well the information to see how much copies the single sold would be available on this site. However, you must be a subscribed user to see the total of sales. You can ask User:Prosperosity to find out how many copies of the single were sold since he is a subscribed user of that site. I am sure he'll be willing to help you."
Please, I am very grateful to know how much he sold, and if possible please link to use as a reference.
Sorry my bad English. Bruno Ishiai ( talk) 02:55, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Ok, how about this. I will create the articles for "I Spy I Spy" and "Manifesto" and you can then put them up for deletion to see if the rest of Wikipedia agrees with you. Sounds good? I'll get right on it. mx3 (Sorafune) 話 03:34, 24 June 2010 (UTC)

While the consensus on the talk page opposed the use of tildes, it most certainly did not oppose the use of hyphens in "W-B-X" (it in fact preferred it). Having these hyphens (which are not the "nakaguro dots" you originally compared them to) are fine and are not proscribed against in any manual of style or policy.— Ryūlóng ( 竜龙) 08:37, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
You know what, screw it, I've moved it back to your preferred title.— Ryūlóng ( 竜龙) 08:43, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
However, I cannot find anything in the manual of styles anywhere that says that "W-B-X" cannot be used. The only instance of it appearing in MOS-JA is referring to names such as "m·a·z·e" where it is read as "Maze" rather than "Em A Zee E".— Ryūlóng ( 竜龙) 09:00, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

You do not personally decide whether or not notability has been established, and just because the song has not been released on CD yet most certainly does not mean that it does not have an established notability. The article contains three reliable sources pointing out how the different songs on the single are notable, so the single itself is notable. You didn't seem to have an issue with "not yet released" with Wildflower & Cover Songs: Complete Best 'Track 3' (created two months before it was released) or Eyes on Me (Superfly song) (created a little over a month before it was released). So in the future, don't take WP:Notability into your own hands.— Ryūlóng ( 竜龙) 07:11, 1 February 2011 (UTC)
Hi. While doing some image cleanup, I came upon the image above and notice that though you've supplied a valid license, you do not seem to have completed the verification process. When you receive permission to license text or an image, you need to forward that to the Wikimedia Foundation for its records, unless the verification has been provided at the original site. Without that verification, I'm afraid, we can't retain content that is owned by one person but uploaded by somebody else. (See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials; Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission)
The image has been tagged, which sets a seven-day clock for verification to proceed before the image may be deleted. If for some resaon verification is delayed, it's not a huge issue; even if the image were deleted, it would be restored once permission is logged. Permission should be sent to [email protected]. Please be sure to provide a URL to the image on Wikipedia, the URL of the video from which the image is taken and the correspondence you received from the copyright owner. I'll watch your talk page for a few days; let me know if you need more information. Thanks. -- Moonriddengirl (talk) 14:08, 1 February 2011 (UTC)

Hi there. This is regarding this old edit. Most of the certifications for this album stated are pure imagination, so I am rewriting the certifications section. While not optimal, what I saw some editors do in such a case is add as a footnote "based on official correspondence from X" and link to a copy of that email. While on itself it isn't enough, maybe together with the citation of actual sales from Oricon and with the other less reliable sources as collaborating source it is sufficient. I'm not sure. On the other hand, it's not THAT important, just mildly annoying. -- Muhandes ( talk) 21:29, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Independent (Ai album), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Morinaga and Just Dance ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Thanks for uploading File:Utada InthefleshNewYork2010.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-enwikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. Hey Prosperosity! How's it going? Well, I'm planning on creating a discography page for Nakamori. I managed to find out the peak positions of all singles and albums. However, Oricon doesn't have them listed :( I know I can source the Oricon Chart Book, which is used in the Japanese articles of her songs, but do you have a link to any articles published by Oricon, listing Nakamori's sales/peak positions? Like they did with B'z? Also, if you have time, can you tell me if the band Picasso's singles and albums, and Meiko Nakahara's singles charted on the Oricon charts? Again, Oricon doesn't have them. 五代 ( talk) 13:27, 4 September 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Diorama (Kenshi Yonezu album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tsutaya ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thanks for the tweak on the 2NE1 discography. I expanded on the Japanese sales note, hopefully that makes sense. Hi, while I have been cleaning up file descriptions on Wikimedia Commons, I encountered commons:File:Kokiainconcert.jpg, which was originally uploaded by you (according to the record written there). The file has become used by a number of articles in different languages, so it is important to be perfectly clear about its copyright status. The file page says 'Received permission after explaining the licences. "No problem. You can use my photo for the Wikipedia articles if you credit me."', but with no OTRS ticket attached. Could you please forward a permission statement written by the copyright holder to [email protected], if you have any? Nowadays, Commons requires permission statements to be stored in commons:COM:OTRS, a centralized email response system and archive, in order to reduce risk of copyright infringements. Even better, it would be invaluable if you could ask the copyright holder to fill in a recommended format, commons:Commons:Email templates, and send it to [email protected]. Thank you for your cooperation, -- Whym ( talk) 13:12, 14 January 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Sx4losangeles.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Werieth ( talk) 16:31, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Hey Prosperosity! Can you help me out again? Oricon has a comic chart, right? [19]. Is there any archive for it? I'm looking for charts pre-2006 (the series I'm looking for is The Law of Ueki which ran from 2002 through 2005). Thanks! ごだい ( 会話) 11:49, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
Hey! It's me again. Can you do me a (rather big) favor? I'm working on Takako Matsu article this time and can you check Oricon and tell me if her sales figures are correct? Is there any chart position missing from the list? Also, are there any certifications for her albums/singles? Couldn't find any on RIAJ :( ごだい ( 会話) 12:12, 26 April 2014 (UTC)

Hey, one more question. This is rather off-topic, but anyway.. Is Takako Matsu popular in Japan? :D Just wondering. A friend of mine sent a few links to her videos (Honto no Kimochi and Ashita Haru ga Kitara) and man, she's really beautiful :P ごだい ( 会話) 12:54, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
