You can preview different little bits of it by searching through the book for "Panthera" and "pathanensis".
Let me know you think if it would be useful for me to request an interlibrary loan (which can be physical or digital) for chapter 105 of "Proceedings of Fourth Pakistan Congress of Zoology" through my university. The second WorldCat link says that University of Minnesota, Twin Cities has a copy, and both it and my university are in the Big Ten Academic Alliance, so it should be more likely to be accepted and should be processed faster, compared to it being at some unaffiliated institution.
A lead! Thank you! I've had a hard enough time finding this source to say yes, please request the interlibrary loan. I think that might actually be what I'm looking for. Happy editing,

1906 article in Arts and Crafts
Maryon, Herbert (March 1906). "Metal Work". Arts and Crafts.
According to the below article, The March number of "Arts and Crafts" is, as usual, full of articles which are intended to provide students and art workers with useful information on a variety of subjects in which they are interested. The most important of these articles are "Various Methods of Finishing Oak," by Mr. W. Daniell; "Metal Work," by Mr. H. J. Maryon; "Practical Talks about Wood-Carving," by Mr. H. Turner; "Inlaying," by Mr. A[rthur] C[awdron] Horth; and "Bookbinding," by Mr.
F. Sangorski and Mr. G. Sutcliffe. Among the more notable illustrations are reproductions of drawings by
Henner,
E. Detaille, and
Feyen Perrin.
The starting point is to figure out what journal this is—a task not helped by its generic name. There's a good chance that this is a small journal that didn't last long. The article would be Maryon's second published work that I'm aware of, five months after "Early Irish Metal Work", in another small journal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Holl, Philippe; Flahaut, Patrick (2007). La seconde guerre mondiale au Touquet (in French). Saint-Cyr-sur-Loire: Éditions Alan Sutton.
ISBN978-2-84910-692-1.
The first article is available through OpenEdition, but The Wikipedia Library access to it is broken, hence my request.
The second and third books are very likely offline, and I don't have relevant pages, so I'd appreciate someone with ILL (buying ILL vouchers). Obviously I cannot and will not request everything, but I need some info about what was happening, how many Germans were living in that city, what they were doing there, what did they do with the women, elderly and children who remained in the resort, preparations for the
Atlantic Wall as relevant to the city and the reason why Le Touquet was so densely mined even though it had little intrinsic military value. Any relevant excerpts that will reflect on this issue will be welcome. I want to make a text that's max 2 paragraphs, beginning from the internment order of enemy males under 60.
Thanks for the ping. It seems that their page is moribund, as it doesn't even get a dozen edits every year. I would definitely have asked them (I had a book or two to ask about
Maurice Duplessis but I ultimately decided not to waste my time.

Szmenderowiecki: Hmm, fair enough... My French is limited, but I can try to help. Are you still interested in this? If so, please contact me via
Special:EmailUser so I can send you files, and I'll try to request these via ILL; when I receive them, I'll send you the front and back matter. I can try to search for relevant information myself, but if you're able to provide any guidance on where I should look, I would appreciate it. Worst case, I'll just send you the introduction and conclusion in hopes that there's something useful in there. Unless you request otherwise, I'll wait about a week after sending you content before I return the book.
I am still working on my sandbox, so yes, I'd greatly appreciate your efforts there.
The problem is that no library in my country has the books, and pdfs are nowhere to be found. So preferably if you have somebody in France, either in Paris (National Library) or in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region, where the town is located, I guess they would have both of the books. Also, because you seem to be based in the United States, check if the Library of Congress has the books, because interlibrary loans to an American library are free, and the LoC has a shitton of everything.
When you get hold of them, send me the ToC and the index (if the books have one), and I will tell more or less what I am looking for.
I am indeed in the US, and am a student at a university here. I can request ILL through my university's library system (as I've been doing) or through my county's public libraries. According to WorldCat, these books don't seem to be in the LoC, but Harvard has both and Stanford has one of them, so it should be doable nevertheless.
I've requested both through my university. When I get them, I'll send you photos of any front and back matter, including any ToCs and indices, and you can let me know which parts you think would be most useful. Weighing copyright vs fair use according to related legal precedent, I'm okay with sending you up to about 10% of the content, not counting front/back matter.
Sollyucko After some consultation with the French colleagues over at fr.wiki, I was able to fill the necessary gaps in coverage about the city, so the article is now essentially ready and there isn't much need for more sources. Of course, if you started an ILL, then I'd kindly ask to continue this request (particularly #3
)but if you haven't started yet, don't bother yourself. Thanks anyway,,

For
Aldabra fody, as I am doing a major expansion of the article and I cannot figure out who the first author to use the synonym Foudia eminentissima aldabrana was; I think it was most probably Moreau, but I need confirmation (strangely, no taxonomic database I have visited has mentioned this name, but it is brought up by the IUCN and others without making it clear who used it first). If not here, Birds of the World, which I also cannot access, may have some information.
Thanks,
Bruce1ee, unsure why I couldn't find it there. Sadly, it does not use the name F. e. aldabrana, but it does state that the bird is most likely conspecific with a different fody. Unsure where to go from here.

I gave the request a deadline of about a month, and it has accordingly been cancelled. Given that it doesn't seem to be in the print version, I'm not sure if there's much they can do anyways.
Based on my limited understanding from cognates and photographs, I do see some articles in the print version that seem to be about police and/or terrorism, such as:
"Terrormisstänkt man jagas av Säpo" (p. 8)
"Krigsscener under razzia" (p. 10)
"17 döda i räd efter gruvexplosion" (p. 20)
"Så blev kärlekens stad ett terrornäste" (p. 28)
Let me know if you think any of these might possibly be useful, and I'll send you them.
Additionally, I have access to various news databases, so if you let me know what you're looking for information about, I can try to help you find another source for it.
I just noticed that it's in Press Reader's collection, which I have access to through my public library, so I searched for the title, and manually looked through the issue for that date (
https://www.pressreader.com/sweden/svenska-dagbladet/20151119/page/1), but found nothing.
I'll try putting in a request for an interlibrary loan for the digital version with an explanatory note, but I'm not sure if it'll work.
I've put in an ILL request for
OCLC232150166 with a note linking to the paywalled URL and stating that it doesn't seem to be in the print version.

Article from Queensland Garden, August 1975 issue
Would greatly appreciate a PDF copy of this article from the August 1975 issue of the periodical Queensland Garden:
Srivastava GS (1975) [Title: Not known. Concerns the plant species Erythrina resupinata]. Queensland Garden, August 1975, Vol 13, pages 10-11.
Shankar Raman, have you tried asking folks over at
WikiProject Queensland? By random chance alone there isn't much chance anyone's going to be from Brisbane, but it's much higher there and maybe they could go to the state library or, if they are outside Brisbane but still in Queensland,
do an ILL, which is free for Queensland libraries.
Not a very active WikiProject but it could help.
Newspaper Archives do not cover that article, Newspapers by Ancestry do not cover Queensland at all.

FWIW, a couple of Google Books results (
[2],
[3]) indicate that the title of the article might simply be "Erythrina resupinata", but I'm not sure.
I could try requesting an interlibrary loan through my US library in March, when they don't have as much to do, since this might be difficult for them; let me know at some point if you'd like me to attempt that then. I'd encourage you to first try asking WikiProject Queensland, as Szmenderowiecki said, or perhaps better
WikiProject Australian biota, such as by putting a message on the WikiProject's talk page.
The first source is a book that discusses the development of Canadian music in the early 2000s. This chapter in particular talks about Godspeed You! Black Emperor, including the album Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven. While I can somewhat access it on Google Books, it does not have page numbers, and not all the pages are available. The footnotes from the book I have added to the article in question are guesswork because I do not know the exact page numbers and would like a stable copy for verification and ease.
The rest are reviews of the album taken from either the review score sidebar already in the article or the album's entry on Metacritic. I have applied on the Wikipedia Library to access Rock's Backpages, but there's no guarantee I will find them there.
I have added two additional sources for request: the media notes for both formats of the album: back cover, liner notes, additional artwork, etc. I seemingly cannot find them in full online and given the added artwork and unusual tracklist, at least according to sources, I doubt
Discogs would be useful. I mostly need them to verify for myself the contents and the personnel behind the album.

I could attempt to request an interlibrary loan, but I'm having trouble finding a good WorldCat entry to reference... Searching for journals with ISSN 2079-8784, I see

I think the set of libraries that have the correct issue of each is limited, and judging from the processing history, those that do might be less convenient to borrow from. I think they're working on them, though; the last log entry for each was 4 days ago, and it seems they sent a request and are waiting for a response. If this goes on for too long, I might try to contact them to figure out what's going on and see if I can help somehow.

My request for Mondo e missione has been cancelled for "Multiple Articles/Chapters Requested at Once". I did some more searching and found some citations to that volume, so I'm working on searching for the article titles in HathiTrust to create a mapping between issue & page numbers and scan numbers. I'm planning to finish this cross-referencing and submit a new request for each issue tomorrow.
Meanwhile, my request for Noi donne was sent to some library via a manual (and therefore slower) process on February 12th. I guess they're either waiting for a reply or are being slow to process the reply.
Sorry that these are taking so long. Most of my ILL scan requests have been satisfied in just a few days, but I guess these sources are hard to find and get.

Based on this, the matches we found are:
#90: no. 1, p. 82
#134-137: no. 2, pp. 30-33
#194: no. 2, p. 90
#481: no. 5, p. ??? (but searching HathiTrust for other keywords alongside Barbieri does not include #481, so this might not be useful anyways)
I'm accordingly planning to put in two new requests when I get a chance:

Yeah, the siloing of information makes this quite difficult at times, but it's worth it as long as it usually gets put to good use. I'm thinking about an idea for a meta search engine that tells you which databases have what you're looking for, but getting it working well and getting database providers on board might be difficult, especially since it needs to balance usefulness and usability against the interests of the providers... (e.g. they might not want to share a full copy of their full database, but they might be willing to share some kind of index or provide API access.)
Meanwhile, I submitted these requests about an hour and a half ago; hopefully they won't drift around for another month before getting canceled again...

I'm looking for information about Anton Çelebi, and found your talk titled "Who is the Lawful Heir?: Anton Çelebi’s Trans-imperial Inheritance Case between Florence and Istanbul" that you presented at METU and Turkologentag in 2023. Beyond your abstract for that talk (
https://historiansnet.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/06/Gamze-Yavuzer-Anton.pdf), are you able and willing to share any materials you presented, or any additional information you know about Anton Çelebi?
— me, 5 days ago
May I ask what your work is on Anton, and what exactly do you need for your research?
— Dr. Gamze Yavuzer, yesterday
In this case, I'm asking on behalf of another user on Wikipedia, who says they're planning to use it as a source to improve the Wikipedia article about Anton Çelebi (
/info/en/?search=Anton_%C3%87elebi). Therefore, if you'd be willing to help with that, I'd appreciate any information or sources about any notable details or events that aren't yet mentioned in the article. If you're not interested in supporting this, that's fine, just please let me know.
If possible, I'd like to be able to cite a published/accessible source that directly states each fact mentioned in the article, so that future readers can verify where the information came from. As long as the sources are available somewhere that can be publicly accessed (needing to pay is okay), such as being available from a public library, a public or subscription website or database, a publisher or retailer or reseller, or any other similar location, that's enough; being formally published by a publisher isn't the only option. Sources can be written documents, audio or video recordings, or any other kind of media.
Are you able and willing to provide copies of or citations to any sources written by you or anyone else that could help with this?
— me, yesterday
I'm now waiting for a reply to this, which I expect will take a few days.
I've checked the existing Wikipedia page on Anton Chelebi and it seems that the author of the page is already aware of the project on Anton and his brother Hasan. I worked on this project last year and now the PI of this project is working on a book on these brothers. When the book is published, there will be more information to add. For now, however, I cannot add anything more than what is already available on the project's website.

I got #8 (Ducrocq, 1995. The contribution of Paleogene anthracotheriid artiodactyls in the paleobiogeographical history of Southern Europe. Neues Jahrbuch fur Geologie und Palaontologie Monatshefte, no. 6, p. 355–362.).
P.S. I also got #2, and my university's off-site library has vols. 51 and 60 (1974) of
OCLC1777405, so I've requested scans of #3 and #5; note that for #5 the year appears to be 1965, unless you'd like part II (see
[15]).
As for #4, #7, #9, #10, and #11, please see the top of the page: "Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot send you full book/thesis copies. Narrow down your request to a specific chapter or page(s)."
As for #1, #6, and #12, my university doesn't have these, but I can request interlibrary loans for them if you'd like.
Thank you very much, I received some of the articles! I would be grateful if you could help with others.

Arctodus-simus: Alright, I've requested #1, #6, and #12. For the books (and one massive multi-volume article), please use a source such as Google Books or HathiTrust to identify specific page numbers you're interested in. Alternatively, if you let me know what to look for, I can request the whole book in print and try to find the relevant parts (I'm not sending the whole thing), but please note that English is my native language, I studied French for 3 years a few years ago, and I have no specific education in German, since this impacts my ability to find relevant parts of the book.
I've received a scan of #6. The two main parts are titled "Artiodactyla. Fam. Anoplotheriidae Gray, 1821¹)" (with a corresponding footnote that I can transcribe if you're interested) and "Perissodactyla. Fam. Palaeotheriidae Bonaparte, 1850." Are you also interested in working on articles about perissodactyls or only about artiodactyls specifically?
I can try to request this by interlibrary loan, but do you have any idea what page numbers might be useful? If not, I can try to request the whole thing, but I'm not sure how successful that'll be, given the limited holdings (see
OCLC16257906) and possible copyright issues with scanning the whole thing. If you're not sure what the page numbers are, and I can't get the whole thing, I'll try asking for a table of contents and/or index (hopefully it has something like that), and then we can use that to figure out what page numbers to ask for.
I don‘t really know if there is any content in this book relating to my topic but I think it should be at the end (April 1945…). So I unfortunately don‘t know which pages are relevant. The table of content/ index could be helpful here if it exist.
I‘m appreciate your help. Maybe you have luck to get the whole book.
Don‘t know if the copyright thing is the same as it is for some photos of the US Army Signal Corps??
„ This file is a work of a U.S. Army soldier or employee, taken or made as part of that person's official duties. As a work of the U.S. federal government, it is in the public domain in the United States.“
@
Archivar-Alex: Yeah, makes sense. It is created by a US Army soldier, but I'm not sure if it's considered part of their official duties. Anyways, I've attempted to request this, and I'll let you know what response I get. Please
email me so I can send you files.
@
Archivar-Alex: I've submitted a request to my university's libraries, who after some back-and-forth, eventually sent a request along to some other library mid-day on March 28th, and are either waiting for a response or taking time to process it. Unfortunately, the amount of time these requests take can vary wildly, depending on various visible and invisible factors, so I don't think I can usefully give you an estimate (though my best guess would be at least a couple of weeks since I think they're going to ship the physical item), but I'm hoping I can get it eventually.
@
Archivar-Alex: I've received the whole thing. Skimming through it, I see no mention of "Geislingen", "Natweiler", or "Struhof", though I do see some brief mentions of their presence in or near Göppingen.
I used to have this magazine and used it for this article, but no longer have it. I cannot do spotchecks without the supplied issue text and unable to pass GA examination.
For
Draft:Devin gambit, I have been looking for sources to expand on the 3. ...d5 lines. According to Chessable search, this course has some material about a particular line in this gambit (1.d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. g4 d5), and I suspect that the relevant text content is in the "16) 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 - 3rd Move Alternatives" chapter. This was played by Espineko in response to Mamedyarov's use of the gambit in the
2022 Tata Steel Masters at
Wijk aan Zee. If I could get just the text explanation of each of the variations involving the move order 1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 e6 3. g4 d5, as if one were in the "book" mode, that would be sufficient.
Hi all.
Can anyone help with these books chapters?

I understand. This book is a volume of articles by various authors. I'm most interested in the chapters by Tassy and Shoshani, and Gentry and Hooker and also maybe Novacek, Wyss, McKenna. But I will be grateful for any of them.

Arctodus-simus: I may be able to help with your narrowed request, or at least part of it. However, one other thing we require people requesting sources to do is identify at least one Wikipedia article (existing or not - it can be a new article they plan to write) that they intend to use the source to improve. Knowing this is necessary for us to make a reasonable claim of fair use of copyrighted materials. Since you are new to Wikipedia and have no content creation history here, I recommend you start by declaring a single topic that you could plausibly improve if you had one of the above chapters. --

Index to Irish Privy Councillors
Index to Irish Privy Councillors 1711-1910 (and partially from 1660). Dublin: Privy Council Office. 1910.
It is available in the
National Library of Ireland but not viewable online. It is cited as the source of Leigh Rayment's Irish privy counsellor page, which is not a reliable source, so trying to access the original book. Since it is published in 1910, it should be out of copyright.

ネイ: The item is a 24-page index, so it likely contains very little data about each privy counsellor. It's available at only the one library, and I don't think WP:RX has any volunteers in Dublin, so your best bet may be asking the National Library of Ireland to
scan it for you. You could start with a single page, which costs just €1, to see whether it will be useful for your purpose. --

For
Draft:Devin gambit. I'm looking at page 16 of
this source, which states that there is coverage of the gambit in Schiller's book ("Devin’s 3. g4 is also in the Eric Schiller’s Gambit Chess Openings, where Schiller assesses the position at move 3 as better for Black"). Unfortunately the book is not at the IA library, and it's not searchable on google. I'd only need the portion of the book that relates to this particular gambit (1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. g4), but I don't have page numbers owing to the lack of google preview.
According to the ToC, it could be p. 570 of the book. I found some discussion of this gambit in another of his books, Unorthodox Chess Openings (p. 201-202), which I sent you via wikimail. It is a very short fragment but maybe it will help.

I don't know whether this falls within your bailiwick, but I figured that I'd give it a shot.
The Wayback archive links for the 1992 Nebraska Public TV video
"The Street of Dreams" appear to all be useless.
The
1994 video "A street of Dreams" is readily available, but no clue as to whether there is any likelihood that "A Street of Dreams (1994)" is actually a suitable alternative to "The Street of Dreams (1992)".
@
Fabrickator: There does not appear to be a The Street of Dreams (1992). The supposed link for it is archived (at
[16]) but instead lists: "A Street of Dreams, 58 minutes, Great Plains National Instructional TV 1994. Documents the history of Omaha's African-American and Jewish community on North 24th Street, which flourished in the 1920s."
One would have to watch the whole video to find where in it each statement attributed to it is supported (or more-or-less supported, editors can be pretty slapdash about source-text integrity). The lynching of Will Brown covered in
Omaha, Nebraska is described starting at 14:02 minutes in, for example (I don't think it puts a dollar figure on the damage, but I'm not going to go through it with a fine tooth comb). The video mentions B'nai Jacob, as claimed in
History of the Jews in Omaha, Nebraska (but calls it a congregation from Lithuania instead of "a Conservative congregation"), and so forth. If this information answers your question, please mark this {{
resolved}}. --

Worldbruce: I appreciate your efforts to locate a 1992 video called "The Street of Dreams", but I believe the most plausible explanation is that there was in fact a 1992 production of "The Street of Dreams". In 1994, at the time they decided to do a subsequent release, they became aware that "the street of dreams" was used in other cities, and in fact, the New York Times did a story in 1992 titled "On The Street of Dreams" to refer to St. Marks Place. So when Nebraska public tv decided to issue a 1994 release, it made sense that they would change the title to "A Street of Dreams".

of Ma'at as a post in the
Ancient Egypt discussion Forum for an informed answer. Also, do not forget to mention that you are looking for reliable sources for editing Wikipedia. If you don't get a response by doing that, I know people whom I can ask directly about it.

Vyacheslav84: "The forum does not allow you to register..." There are ongoing problems with the site's coding for registration and login. I myself have been oceassionally locked out at login even though I am a registered user. Hopefully, it will get fixed. This is the problem of low budget, self-funded web site.
However, I noticed that there currently is an active thread about the "tunnel door." It is
Mysterious doors in Great Pyramid to be unlocked by Hawass (5 Dec 2023). Its posts contain links to articles and past posts about the door's "unlocking."
The latest news, April 11, 2024 is that Hawass ... "has been working with a team of robotics experts with a new robot design. He said that more will be announced early June." This was from an April 11, 2024 lecture by Hawass. I will see if I can find a more reliable source of information.

Vyacheslav84: I looked around and could not find anything in terms of recent, reliable sources about the shafts of the Great Pyramids. It seems detailed information will only be released in June of this year according to the latest chatter. What I found is:

If someone could send me plate 191 (Shah with a dignatory...), that would be splendid. For some reason, the website only allows me to download a fraction of the images.
Is it an image request or you want to describe the image? If the latter, the Russian Academy of Sciences posted
a book that describes the plate on page 110. I am sure though that you want to upload it to Wikipedia as it's public domain, but here I just think that Harvard are being assholes for restricting access to public domain documents (I tried maniulating the width and height of the
image in question but Harvard sysadmins aren't that stupid, so the request redirected me to the login page).

I'm looking for the summaries of the books first, to better locate the specific tale types: Animal as Bridegroom (425-449), "Three Golden Children" (707) and "Caballo Mágico Salva a la novia del diablo" (Camarena/Chevalier 533A).
Wow! Wherever did you find them?? As for the Camarena/Chevalier book, the googlebooks summary is incomplete:
It lacks type 425, "El esposo desaparecido/perdido" or the like, which does not appear. Instead, it jumps straight from type 403A, "EL HÉROE ALABA A SU HERMANA ANTE EL RE" ("Hero compliments his sister to the king") to type 437, "LA NOVIA SUPLANTADA LA ESPINA DEL PRÍNCIPE" ("The Supplanted Bride/The Needle Prince"). I'm looking for types 425 and its subtypes and 428.
It also does not list 533A, "Caballo Mágico salva a la novia del diablo" ("Magic Horse saves girl from Devil"), which should be located near 533, "La Culebra Ayudante" ("The Helpful Female Snake").
The Summary also ends at type 706B. I'm also looking for type 707, "Los Tres Niños de Oro" ("Three Golden Sons/Children").
As for the other books, I'm a bit busy at the moment, but I'll go over them later, then give you my feedback.

KHR FolkMyth: okay, in CAMARENA there exist types 425A-425Q (pages 241-288), but no type 428. There exist 431B, 432, 433B, 435, 437, 438, 440 (pages 288-311). There exists 533A (pages 507-515). There exists type 707 (pages 709-715). –

1948 Associated Press report
Not sure if it's the right place to ask, but maybe someone has the access to the Associated Press archives. There is a
newspaper that mentions the Associated Press as the origin of a story about the war in Palestine published on January 6 1948. Is it possible to find the original report? Is it likely that it will contain more details? Apologies for a vague request.
Hi all. If anyone can access the following, is there any chance of seeing—according to the titbits GBooks lets me see—page 36 (which should mention
Bisham Priory), which is next to a 'footnote 8' too? And if it follows over from a previous page or into the next, they would be handy too :) many thanks in advance!

Solomon Ucko, thanks fantastic. How did you do that?! I only got a snippet view before—and still do! But your link gives pages and the notes! Great stuff! Cheers!

Serial Number 54129: Awesome! In this case, I used a combination of switching from snippet search mode to preview mode, editing the URL to set the page number, looking for context clues to indicate where I am, etc., making use of my familiarity with both Google Books and publication formatting. I also got lucky in various ways; this technique won't always work, and sometimes I do have to give up on getting Google Books to give me what I want.

Hello, I absolutely need this paper to create the

Ngororo Formation article as well. Seems like it's only hosted by Schweizerbart, can provide more info if need be.

For
User:Averageuntitleduser/Mother Solomon. Although self-published, it has been touted extensively by Labelle 2021 and newspapers of the time. I am looking for as many pages as is possible or reasonable. I'd be happy with any range, but am most interested in her activities in Kansas and work as a nanny upon returning to Ohio,
the general 40s area seems a safe bet. I have found no online copy, and
HaithiTrust is a dead end, but it is held by a handful of universities, like

For
John "Big Train" Moody. Google Books has a preview for what looks like a multi-page feature story in an edition of Black Sports (see above). If someone could show me how to get it I'd appreciate it.

Greenish Pickle!: As mentioned at the top of the page, we typically don't send entire book copies due to copyright restrictions. I see mentions of Redfield in two chapters: Chapter 6, "Resident Evil and Infectious Fear" by Christina Fawcett and Alan McGreevy, and Chapter 12, "'A Jill Sandwich'—Gender Representation in Zombie Video Games" by Esther MacCallum-Stewart. Would those two chapters be sufficient?
