Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:AmericanEditor350 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Badr Hari, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moroccan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

El_C 01:09, 2 July 2022 (UTC)One of the main problems with your "people from country x living in country y" articles is that they are built on original research. That is not allowed in Wikipedia. For the articles about people from Mali, Senegal, and Guinea who live in Sweden, you used data from Statistics Sweden (SCB) on the country of birth for people who were registered as living in Sweden in 2021. Not their ethnicity, or their religion, or their languages – only which country they were born in.
Let's take the article Senegalese people in Sweden as an example. The first sentence says "Senegalese people in Sweden are people from Senegal who live in Sweden or Swedish people of Senegalese descent or origin." Whose definition is that? The article continues: "As of 2021 according to Statistics Sweden, there are 1,125 Senegalese people living in Sweden." That is not true, not with the definition you provided in the first sentence. SCB says that there were 1,125 individuals registered as living in Sweden, who were born in Senegal. It does not say anything about "Senegalese descent".
Are you aware of the fact that it is illegal to register people's ethnicity in many countries, including Sweden? As an American, you are perhaps reading things that aren't there into the SCB figures, because you might take it for granted that "country of origin" implies ethnicity. I don't know if that is how you reasoned, but it might be. In any case, the 1,125 individuals include people who were born in Senegal by Swedish diplomats, business people and others who lived in Senegal at the time, but have since moved back to Sweden. And the lists of "notable individuals" overwhelmingly consisted of people who were born in Sweden (so not part of the figures you got from SCB), in some cases with one parent or even just one great-grandparent from the country you associated them with – saying that the Leionhjärta twins are "Senegalese in Sweden" is a case in point. And some people you included in the lists were born in Sweden but have since moved abroad!
Even more concerning are the claims about religion – there is no verification of your claims about the religious affiliations of the various groups. It does look like you looked at the majority religions in the countries of origin and just slapped that onto the groups you created articles about. That's not even original research, it's guesswork. -- bonadea contributions talk 22:57, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi @ AmericanEditor350, I hope this finds you well and does not feel like piling on at all as that is not my intention. I have a few suggestions fo ways to If you have not done so already, I would highly recommend doing The Wikipedia Adventure as it is can be quite helpful. A good way I found to start getting into editing was to find pages in topics that interest you that haven't been updated in a while or are stubs and expand them out. I would recommend if you're editing biographies to start with those of non-living people. Biographies of living people have particularly high sourcing requirements as improperly sourced (and thus potentially inaccurate information) in a biography of a living person as outlined at WP:BLP can be very detrimental to that living person. If you have any questions please ping me using {{ u|TartarTorte}} or User:TartarTorte in your reply. All the best! Tartar Torte 12:09, 5 July 2022 (UTC)

Hello AmericanEditor350, I have noticed that on this edit on Karim Sow, you added that the player is a "Swiss professional footballer of Senegalese descent". Please do not do this, because it is in violation of WP:ETHNICITY. Him being of Senegalese descent is not relevant to him being notable. Generally, we leave out ethnicity in the opening sentence, but we can mention it in a "Personal life" or "Early life" section, for example. Thank you, Paul Vaurie ( talk) 08:48, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
Please stop your

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Sarah Atcho, you may be blocked from editing. Have you already forgotten the information you got on 15 July? Do not add irrelevant text on ethnicity to article leads. Did you read WP:ETHNICITY as requested above?
You should probably avoid making any edits that have to do with ethnicity or related concepts. bonadea contributions talk 07:37, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
