![]() | This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest was declined. Some or all of the changes weren't supported by neutral, independent, reliable sources. Consider re-submitting with content based on media, books and scholarly works. |
I would like to request that four changes be made to four incorrect statements in this page as below.
Incorrect Statement: “It is headed by the Management Board (with fourteen members), a First-Class Forum (for first-class cricket) and a Recreational Forum.” Correction: The First-Class Forum no longer exists as an entity, please remove. Third-Party Source: Financial Times: “ The disbanding of the First-Class Forum, the veto-wielding body comprising representatives of the 18 counties as well as the MCC, in favour of a streamlined management board, is further evidence that change is no longer deemed the mortal enemy”
Incorrect Statement: “The Chairman of Selectors (This job title is now referred to as the National Selector), head coach and other coaches are ECB employees.”
Correction: Replace the job title of ‘Chairman of Selectors’ which is now referred to as the ‘National Selector’.
Third-Party Source: Daily Mail: “England Cricket Board national selector James Whitaker looks set to finish his brief reign in the role”
Incorrect Statement: “The ECB also employs the English Test match captain and other centrally contracted players, as well as being responsible for the ECB National Academy, currently based at Loughborough University in Leicestershire.”
Correction: Replace ‘ECB National Academy’ which is now known as the ‘National Cricket Performance Centre’.
Third-Party Source: Loughborough Sport: “The National Cricket Performance Centre for the England and Wales Cricket Board houses the world’s most sophisticated, hi-tech indoor cricket facility, and two first class standard grounds”.
Incorrect Statement: “It raises revenue from the proceeds of sales for tickets at One Day International and Test matches in England and Wales and shares in revenues when the English team play abroad.”
Correction: Please be aware that ECB does not receive any revenues when England plays abroad in bi-lateral series. The hosting (home) cricket board owns TV rights and wider commercial properties. Please remove.
Third-Party Source: First Post: “Cricket Australia (CA) is open to part with its multi-million-dollar television revenue from India tours to Australia as part of a collective effort to preserve the financial health of the global game.”
