I've always found Wikipedia very helpful and finally got an account in August if '08. As of right now, I am still getting the hang of how Wikipedia works. I didn't realize that so much of it was computer-programming-like. The Help Desk has been very helpful and I now know more than I did. Wikipedia is great and unlike many whom I know, I consider it a valid resource.

Favorite Museums

The Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston

I've had a lot of fun at the ICA and have been there many times. It is one of the coolest museums I've ever been to and I hope to go there many more times. It has so such a beautiful view of the water, too. I've also had the opportunity to work with an artist who has a gallery there, Nicholas Hlobo of South Africa. His worked appeared in the Momentum series, number 11.^[1]

The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston

The MFA is one of the most beautiful museums I've been to. I've seen many exhibitions there, including the Americans in Paris exhibit^[2], El Greco to Velázquez: Art During the Reign of Philip III exhibit^[3], the School of the Museum of Fine Arts Traveling Scholars 2008 exhibit^[4], the Drama and Desire: Japanese Paintings from the Floating World exhibit^[5], and the Through Six Generations: The Weng Collection of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy exhibit^[6]^[7]. Their ancient arts collection is also very extensive and diverse. At the MFA, everything is just so beautiful, especially the new Art of the Americas Wing.

The Musée du Louvre, Paris

I believe the largest museum I've ever been to is the Louvre. It is very beautiful, being built in the old palace. The Jardin des Tuileries are very beautiful, as well, and hold many well-known sculptures. Also, the Tuileries are on my favorite street (that I've been to) in Paris— Place de la Concorde with L'Obélisque and L'Hôtel de Crillon (which I've stayed at—very nice). I can't wait until the Louvre-Lens and the Louvre Abu Dhabi open!

Well, I haven't been on in forever... mainly cause of all the stuff I've been taking on recently.... I have a small little thing: I'm going to be doing a research project and for my topic I was thinking of using Indian Summer as a source, though for what I am not sure. I was thinking either something to do with Dickie Mountbatten, Gandhi's assassination, or the Amritsar massacre. We'll see. I really hope to be on more!

I just spent the last, about, twenty minutes looking for photos that I thought answered the question "Can Anybody Show Me The World" that I found on http://help.com . I collected these:

Funny thing happened to day. So my English teacher is teaching my class how to use different correction symbols (e.g. frag. = fragmented sentence, rep. = repetition of information and/or word/phrase, R/O = run-on sentence or comma splice, etc.) and so for a couple of them the only way you can learn how to fix the error is to map out the sentence. And so my teacher was explaining SVO format and OVS format and I was one of the few kids in the class who understood what she was talking about because I read the Wikipedia articles on those subjects when I was looking up a note about the romance languages!!! I was so happy today. \(^o^)/

So yeah... I haven't been on in forever. I've actually been trying to separate myself from my computer because it takes me too long to do homework, otherwise. And I don't think I'm every going to get to The Monsters of Templeton. :='^( But I really want to copy the introduction to Jazz, by Henri Matisse, into the article so I posted on the discussion page. I hope somebody replies.

So yeah... I haven't been making the page for The Monsters of Templeton. :=^( I'm really sorry about that, it's just that I've had too much to do. I'm actually supposed to be doing a project right now, but I can't think of anything to write so instead I'm doing this. Now I'm sad.

I've decided to definitely make a page for The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff as soon as possible, but right now it's not. I hope to have it done within maybe two or three weeks, because I want to carefully make the summary and stuff.

Well, I tried to be smart and upload photos to Commons and then make a gallery of them here. As you can see, Place de la Concorde, one of my favorite mages from the time I went to France, came out very well. But as you can also see L'Obélisque did not come out so well. ToT Well I've posted in the Commons Help Desk and I hope to have my question answered. I need sleep. Then finish Anna Karenina. yawn

Okay, so today was my first day of school (scary) and martial arts, which I wanted to do yesterday but couldn't. But I finally started to figure out how to upload the cover to Indian Summer: The Secret History of the End of an Empire and I got a little confused so I posted on the Media Copyright Questions page. Right now I'm watching America's Best Dance Crew. Just wanted to say that. Good show.... Well, I was bored, so I started to make a coat of arms using the rules in the Heraldry article. I used a shield that I designed during the XXIX Olympiad. Unfortunately, I used a kind of crest in the shield instead of a charge, but that's okay. I designed everything rather nicely, and abstractly. I want to use a woman and man, in similar forms as Atlas holding up the world, as my supporters. And a tree would be holding it up from the bottom, and stemming from it's roots would be a scroll containing my motto that also go up the sides of the shield, similar to the supporters. I hope to upload the coat of arms when I create a digital version, though that may take some time. It would be my picture on this page. Yeah, I'm still bored. :=^)

Well, my question was successfully answered in the Help Desk (see Book Cover Upload), and I decided last night around 1:00 AM to upload the scan, though now I'm really confused about the templates, and I have to read up on the copyright information, and, well, again I'm not at the computer that has the scanner. ToT So now I am going to have to wait until at least the 1st to upload the scan, since that is the earliest I am going to be at the computer with the scan. Oh! and what is with the stuff that people ask at the Help Desk!!?? People ask the most disgusting questions!

I feel really horrible for not uploading the cover for Indian Summer, but I haven't had a lot of time, with school starting up and I've finally gotten back into Go. But also, I've been checking the help archives for some information about whether or not it is legal to upload covers, and I'm getting mixed responses. And I haven't even figured out the whole copyright information about the cover. So I think I'm going to post something in the Help section, because I have looked up what's "free" under Wikipedia law, and book covers are an iffy subject that I don't understand. Ahh!

I hope to upload the scan today, though I have yet to get to the computer that has the image, so it'll be a while. I am also considering making an article for The Monsters of Templeton by Lauren Groff. It's a really awesome book and you should read it, along with Indian Summer, though that is more history oriented.

I decided to move the Indian Summer page and so did, changing the name to Indian Summer from the previous, incorrectly lower-case title. When I went to the new page, I had to make an entire new article, which really scared me because I thought if you moved a page everything moved with it. I searched the title and the old page came up and so I was really confused. I'm posting in the Help Desk. The entire story of this fiasco is there. Please help me, if you read this or know what to do. Thanks!

I can't figure out how to customize my signature ToT so I guess I'm not going to have one for now. I think it might have to do with my not being autoconfirmed. Also on my to do list once I'm autoconfirmed: fix the title of Indian Summer: The Secret history of the end of an empire article! Like, seriously—how could you screw that up so bad!?
