Did Leesburg's original courthouse survive the civil war? If so, maybe we could change the wording on the text to read "The original courthouse was one of few in the South to survive the civil war. As I tried to give the page a bit more structure, it was the one item that didn't seem, to me, to really fit anywhere. Also, it didn't have a reference despite having been tagged for a little while. Finally, it's interesting mainly because it suggests a living connection to the civil war, but it has less relevance as time goes on and we don't know if the man is still alive or not.

Looking at it again, I still don't think it quite belongs in the article. However, I don't feel that strongly about it, so I would not object if you want to restore it.-- Kubigula ( talk) 14:24, 31 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Image:Loudoun Seal.jpg is being used on this article. Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately, Wikipedia's mission is to create almost completely free content, and a restriction to noncommercial use is incompatible with Wikipedia licensing. I added something to the "history" page that discusses the downtown merchants recent marketing campaign. It might be inappropriate where it is, but there is no sensible place to put it other than there without creating a "hanging section," i.e., a new section with one sentance of text that simply restates the heading. I can expand with graphics, if you'd like.

I also edited the Market Station discussion because it is inaccurate. Market Station is not Leesburg's downtown, the intersection of US-15 and VA-7, it is about two blocks away. This entire paragraph also seems to be written by a "for profit" owning or renting space at Market Station. There are a lot of pages dealing with individual subdivision neighborhoods in Leesburg that do not meet the Wikipedia notability guidelines, the references are generally HOA websites. I propose to create a neighborhoods section on this page and merge most of the contents of the pages their (mostly short histories and school districts) as well as add additional info about the historic district and other neighborhoods. Can anyone confirm the flag shown is in fact "official"?

Per https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/us-valee.html, the sources it has cited indicates that the shown flag was used for the 250th celebration, but not verification that it was officially adopted.
