It's Lord Rothschild, not Baron Rothschild

Jacob, 4th Lord Rothschild is a baron - one of many. However he is the 4th Lord Rothschild. The 1st Lord Rothschild was his great-grandfather. However long before he was born, there were 5 Rothschild barons simultaneously elevated into the aristocracy. Austria elevated the 5 sons to Freiherr, which equals a baron or baronet, but the English House of Rothschild only uses the English honors. The Houses that use a reference to the honors from Austria can be known by the added prefix 'de' (French House) or 'von' (Austrian &/or German Houses of Rothschild).

As to how to either discuss or address a baron, at least in this instance, is using the word "Lord" & their surname, as in Lord Rothschild, or if discussing more than one noble of the same House, then, to distinguish which one you're referring to, then the surname is a given & then use "Lord" with the name they use, in this case, Lord Jacob.

Austria still refuses to give back the houses & other buildings the Nazis claimed during WW2 who in turn gave many of the buildings to the Austrian government. That may be part of the reason Lord Jacob doesn't use any prefixes, as well as the House is in line from the first Rothschild who emigrated from Germany. To some Jews, bring Jewish is only something that can only be called Jewish if (1) they're an observant Jew & (2) born of a mother who is either Jewish by birth or converts to Judaism. That's the traditional Orthodox view. However, many learned prior to & during WW2 that traditional or religious views don't mean a thing to haters. So, as a child of a Jewish man but of a Goya (female Gentile), I am & will always consider myself a Jewess, regardless what any rabbi says. This past year Lord Jacob stepped down from the chairmanship of RIT to President of it. Sir James Leigh Pemberton is now the chair. Just read through COI guess my editing is restricted

I'm related to Lord Rothschild, so except for fixing what's been screwed up or removing defamatory statements, etc, I'll have to just suggest edits here in talk. I'll need to be walked through the next steps for this please @MaterialScientist or some other admin please.

The Oil Baron

I know a lot of it's happening behind the scene, but it's 319 bridges or so much more so the discussion's primarily about how Jacob has a controlling interest, along with his brother Evelyn, in every major gas company, esp BP, Shell, ConocoPhillips, Phillips66, Oxy, Marathon, Arco, 76. So again we should discuss the fact that Jacob, as long as he's still alive, ensures Michael Tipsord and Tom Wilson are the first two consulted. Roots include Dell, Amazon, Hitachi. Many old roots are dead.
