@ SyntheticSystems: I'm still unable to access the source to 100% confirm, but as far as I can tell there haven't been any other major mercury spills in the state, and it's a reliable source (even if it's behind a paywall, and the newspaper has blocked Internet Archive from archiving their site). SyntheticSystems Prosperosity I have not been able to confirm the hook. I read many articles and performed many searches but I cannot find evidence that this was the worst mercury spill in Arizona history. Please work on a new hook which can be confirmed. How about
SyntheticSystems It is less sensational but accurate. I think I would use the word "among" as a more common usage. We will see if Prosperosity agrees to use the hook. I think it squares with the exerpt that I am able to see in the given reference from the Arizona Republic article: Two boys sitting in front weren't paying attention. One was a junior, the other a freshman. They had noticed a plastic bottle on the open shelf next to their desks. They removed the screw cap, looked inside, and swirled around a metallic liquid they did not recognize.
Curious, they poured some onto the floor to see what would happen. The boys liked how the liquid balled into tight beads. The freshman scooped it up from the floor and put it into an empty Gatorade bottle. Bruxton ( talk) 19:51, 18 January 2023 (UTC) reply
