On 5 May 2012, Shahbaz Sharif has said that load-shedding, poverty and unemployment have made the life of the people miserable and it has become difficult for the poor to make both ends meet. He has said democracy is the name of service to the masses but the rulers sitting in Islamabad have made it a source of loot and plunder. [1] In May 2012, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has termed loadshedding in the province a conspiracy hatched by the federation and President Asif Ali Zardari. [2] Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif Saturday said a visible reduction in loadshedding and complete end to the unscheduled power outages by the Federal government after protests was a clear proof of government's ill intent. [3] On 2 June 2012, Punjab Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif has said that the people now want electricity instead of democracy and therefore he keeps the democratic system sans electricity on his toes. [4] On the other hand many popular figures critisized his work for punjab. According to them he must use the public taxes to solve the electricity blackout problem, instead of starting new projects like Lahore Metro, laptop scheme and danish schools. While going through the article,i happened to see that the date of birth of Mr Shahbaz Sharif has been incorrectly stated. It has been mentioned that he was born in 1950, whereas after confirming from other sources i have learned that his exact date of birth is 23rd September 1951.The source link is given below:
http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.asp?page=story_24-9-2005_pg7_14
Please change born 1950 to born 23rd September 1951 because the link given above shows that the article was published on 24th september 2005 (saturday) and the article clearly states that Mr Shahbaz Sharif celebrated his 54th birthday on friday. This indicates that he celebrated his 54th birthday on 23rd september (friday) 2005. This concludes that he was born on 23rd september 1951.Hoping to see a positive response. The official name is "Shehbaz Sharif" and therefore his official Facebook page has been renamed from Shahbaz to Shehbaz. [1] RedGerbera ( talk) 22:52, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
I would contend that both "Shahbaz Sharif" and "Shehbaz Sharif" are used, but "Shahbaz Sharif" is the name used in his in the official capacity.

I don't think WP should jump around, but should opt for one version throughout with a notification of the other version. My preference is for the version used in the Pakistan government website, which is "Shahbaz". In that case, the article title should be changed back to "Shahbaz". I could make these changes, but invite discussion. Errantios ( talk) 11:34, 12 April 2022 (UTC) PS: I cannot make these changes myself, not currently being an extended confirmed user. Hi @ Mar4d and Greenbörg: I have just begun the job of cleaning up this messed up bio and need your comments to further improve it. Just so you know... I have added three new subsections under the Political career (first three ones). I believe the sources are good and these three sub-sections can be further expanded.
I have moved the material that we had under the section " Second term as Chief Minister" to List of initiatives of Punjab Government (2008–13) for the time being and outright removed the promotional press releases alike content that we used to had under the section " Third term as Chief Minister". But I left behind two sub-sections " Model Town Massacre" and " Kasur child sexual abuse scandal", which doesn't look very much relevant here so I need your opinion to how extent these two sub-sections be trimmed down? Also I would appreciate if you guys could suggest which noteworthy initiatives or projects should be moved back from the List of initiatives of Punjab Government (2008–13) and be mentioned under the section "Second term as Chief Minister"? -- Saqib ( talk) 14:15, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
@ Störm: I don't get logic behind the outright removal of Sabzazar case section. IMO, the information should be retained here for the sake of NPOV. It can be chunk down but removal of entire section does not make sense to me. -- Saqib ( talk) 10:05, 31 July 2018 (UTC)
Given that the lead image is a decade old, I was thinking about these replacement options. I'm leaning towards option C. -- TDKR Chicago 101 ( talk) 16:48, 11 April 2022 (UTC)

talk) 14:58, 13 April 2022 (UTC)In December 2019, anti-graft body - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) froze 23 properties that belong to Shehbaz and his son Hamza, accussing the father and the son of money laundering.
In September next year (2020), NAB had arrested Shehbaz on charges of money laundering and income beyond means case.
The case was instituted against him by Imran Khan-led government and Shehbaz denied the charges, terming them as "politics victimisation". However, he had to be behind the bar for several months before the Lahore High Court in April released him on bail in money laundering case.
Shehbaz is currently facing a PKR 14 billion money laundering case in the United Kingdom brought against him by Pakistan's Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The leader is on bail in the case.
Five corruption cases have been launched by the government of prime minister Imran Khan previously against the 70-year-old supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz since his ouster from the office by the Supreme Court in July 2017 in the Panama Papers case.
The National Accountability Bureau's (NAB) regional board, under the chairmanship of its Director General Shahzad Saleem, discussed the additional corruption cases against Nawaz, his younger brother Shehbaz Sharif, daughter Maryam Nawaz and 13 others in money laundering and possession of assets beyond known sources of income investigation.

I need to add some details about Mr. Shehbaz Sharif DawoodBinImran ( talk) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
Regardless of the truth of this statement, has he been convicted in court? The article in the citation seems to say that charges will be brought, but Wikipedia, for a variety of reasons, does not call people criminals before their convictions. This article calls him a murderer in the lede. Perhaps we should rethink that Xenologer48 ( talk) 17:08, 21 October 2022 (UTC)

Article currently reads: "Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif (Punjabi and Urdu: میاں محمد شہباز شریف, pronounced [miˈãː moˈɦəmːəd ʃɛhˈbaːz ʃəˈriːf]; born 23 September 1951) is a Pakistani politician and murderer[2]"
The last part "and murderer" is neither factual nor specific enough nor neutral for the following reasons and should be deleted, in addition the cited reference should be removed:
1. The article cited in the references is a news article which reported that a Pakistani court registered murder charges against the subject of the Wikipedia article Shehbaz Sharif. Registering charges is not the same as a conviction nor does it imply such. Registration of charges is merely formally bringing charges against a defendant before a trial.
2. The Punjab police formally closed their murder investigations against Shehbaz Sharif in October 2015 without any conviction or trial: https://gulfnews.com/world/asia/pakistan/pakistan-police-closes-murder-case-against-pm-sharif-family-1.1605506
3. A label of "murderer" is not specific enough to denote the exact charge or degree for which someone was convicted.
4. Calling someone a murderer is hardly in line with the neutrality expected of Wikipedia articles. SBR249 ( talk) 18:44, 22 October 2022 (UTC)

Greetings, the "Book" section is situated a bit too down, generally it isn't that far in the page, so I'm wondering if it was possible to just put it above the "See also" section (and thus after "Toshakhana Records").
It seems more logical and natural.
Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2a02:a03f:6504:1700:7079:9555:c63e:5474 ( talk • contribs) 16:45, 10 June 2023 (UTC)
