In what way is it the largest city? Not by population [1], where it comes 7th. Fram 11:07, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
At the end of the page of Ibadan, there is a link saying that Sade comes from here. That link doesn't work properly. So if someone who knows how to fix it can do so, that would be nice.
What is the population? 3.8 Million as stated in the text or 300,000 as stated in the side panel? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.4.49.220 ( talk) 19:00, 16 February 2007 (UTC).
What the words above mean? Is that the genuine name of the city (in the local language)? What is the local language? How does it read? Thanx. Just Omer • Talk 14:36, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Èbá-Ọdàn: It means on the edge (Èbá) of the grassland/savannah (Ọdàn). It was the original name of the settlement that later developed into a city. The city is however known as Ibadan by everyone. The honorifics (oriki) for the town uses the word Ibadan. The local language is called Yoruba and is a tonal language (differences in intonation can change the meanings of words). The alphabet is anglicised. — Preceding

It would be useful to sort this into order.---- Felix Folio Secundus ( talk) 12:13, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Cyberbot II has detected links on Ibadan which have been added to the blacklist, either globally or locally. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed or are highly inappropriate for Wikipedia. The addition will be logged at one of these locations: local or global If you believe the specific link should be exempt from the blacklist, you may request that it is white-listed. Alternatively, you may request that the link is removed from or altered on the blacklist locally or globally. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. Please do not remove the tag until the issue is resolved. You may set the invisible parameter to "true" whilst requests to white-list are being processed. Should you require any help with this process, please ask at the help desk.

What is missing from the recently created city timeline article? Please add relevant content. Contributions welcome. Thank you. -- M2545 ( talk) 15:10, 19 May 2015 (UTC)
"...is the capital city of Oyo State and the third largest metropolitan area, by population, in Nigeria, after Lagos and Kano, with a population of over 3 million, AND THE LARGEST METROPOLITAN GEOGRAPHICAL AREA. " The above extract from this article gives a wrong impression that Ibadan is the largest metropolitan geographical area in Nigeria. Isakaba ( talk) 11:49, 1 January 2016 (UTC)
