I was wondering if Middle East section has to get merged with Asia, West Asia is also a part of Asia. Asia isn't a whole homogenous civilization itself but divided into civilizations.
Asian section should be subdivided into Greater Middle East or West Asia and near East, Central Asia, Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia and East Asia.
Or even in better way as Islamic world, Indosphere and Sinosphere as countries with identical culture hold similar point of views even in different regions.

Is cultural alienation or lack of assimilation/integration by immigrants the same as Anti-Western sentiment? If a Frenchman moves to China and
still considers himself to be French and complains about things in China, does that mean he is Anti-Chinese? Aren't these things distinct? -

I agree with the point, and add that the lack of an Anti-Western sentiment section within the West itself, pronounced in academia, Hollywood, and mainstream media is imprecise to the topic. Because that is very common nowadays, always downplaying Western achievements and it's importance, and reinforcing the Islamic Golden Age, Chinese inventions, and even African Empires that could make them create a narrative showing a "powerful and advanced" Sub-Saharan African force before the European colonialism to reinforce the myth of backwardness brought by the Europeans (The colonialism brought exploitations and a lot of negative aspects, but without a doubt they also built schools, universities, bridges, modern infrastructure, applied advanced sciences and so on).

Reliable sources
This article seems to lack reliable sources. Some of the sources are YouTube videos. Other times a source that is referring to a terrorist act, is interpreted to mean "anti-Western sentiment." I don't think this article should be a list of acts that were aimed against Westerners.VRtalk 01:40, 7 February 2011 (UTC)reply

Absolutely. One of the most subjective entries on Wikipedia ever. Delete.

Keeping article focused
The reason I have again shortened the article is because a significant section of it was about terrorist actions without consideration of sentiment. The actions have their place in other articles, but this article is about sentiment. asnac (

The
WP:LEAD section is supposed to be a brief summary of the article. It should not require references because the information should already be in the article, along with references. If the information is not in the article it should not be in the Lead at all.
Editor2020 (

Ah, I see your point, there is nothing in the article. I have moved info from Lead section and requested references.

Is this article a joke?
First, "West" does not even exist in anthropology or history, that term came from the Western Roman Empire, which was destroyed, stolen and appropriated by Germanic barbarian tribes. Western Romans were not "European(another pseudo-ethnicity and pseudo-continent)" but WESTERN MEDITERRANEANS, including Berbers who today are called "Eastern"(The Berbers in the Roman Empire were emperors, generals, senators and philosophers, unlike the Germanic and Celtic who ironically were slaves or barbarian invaders).
Second, Victimism of aggressors is pathetic, free people cannot defend themselves from genocidal psychopaths without being classified as "anti-Western".
Please, neo-Westerners, grow up and civilize yourselves.
This article should also include a section discussing the strong anti-Western sentiments within leftist political movements in Western countries; for example, the Democratic Party in the United States which hates American culture. — Preceding

Possible addition
The article could represent more Asian viewpoints in a more descriptive manner. The article as well as some of the sources seem to be quite biased, in particular the portion about China. The conversations behind this article represent the same views: that it is biased and reflects heavily inaccurate viewpoints. However, previous edits have made the article more informative. How does India fit into this article? There is a lot of anti-Western sentiment existing in Indian conversations, and this would be a valuable addition to the article.
The map erroneously shows the Falkland Islands as being in the South American sphere of influence. As a British overseas territory inhabited by a population of overwhelmingly British sentiment, they should be placed in the Western sphere of influence.
