Pida ( Ancient Greek: Πίδα), or Pidae [1] or Pidis, [2] was a town of ancient Pontus, inhabited during Roman and Byzantine times. [3] It was in the later province of Pontus Galaticus, on the road leading from Amasia to Neocaesareia. [4] [2]
Its site is located near Akça in Asiatic Turkey. [3] [5]
