Restoration
I see that the restoration has been spelt "Restauration". I've corrected this.

This is the French spelling, traditionally used in English as well to refer specifically to the Bourbon Restoration. --

I bet that the parts from "First Republic" to "Consulate" should be place in "Early Modern France", they happened in 18th century.

Lead image
Use a lead image that is neutral
WP:NPOV and representative for the whole history of the country, not just symbols of state. A geographic historic map is the best solution.
