The editor is simply trying to avoid observing WP:NOTBROKEN as can be seen on the editor's talk page (that was recently cleared) and Talk:Canadians#100. The editor seems to think if this redirect is deleted, they can point to "the correct" article. This is simply Wikipedia:Gaming the system and another example of WP:NOTHERE. • I actually agree with Catchpoke's changes, it doesn't make much sense to link as "100" for a page that isn't actually a top 100 list. • Keep as a well used redirect left over from a page move. I also fail to see how this is inaccurate, since the target contains a complete list of metropolitan areas in Canada it includes a list of the "100 largest" by default, since they're just a subset of the same list. I'm unsure if "Draft/Champion Island Games" is a plausible search term for "Doodle Champion Island Games" or if "Draft/" simply is a typo for "Draft:" and that the page originally was meant to be created in the Draft namespace. • I'm a bit confused here. The target article indeed doesn't use the term, but says that the Congregation was founded by Francis Schuckardt, whose article does use the term to describe what sounds like the same organization (or a closely related one), but only mentions the Congregation once, in an image caption. Is there anyone around knowledgeable on sedevacantism / traditionalist Catholicism who can elucidate this? For now my fallback position is to retarget to the Schuckardt article. • Retarget to Tridentine Mass. The article explains that the Tridentine Mass is the traditional mass of the Catholic Church under the Roman Rite (a.k.a. Latin Rite), which was the most common mass from the 16th century up to the 1960s, when mass was always conducted in Latin. Sedevacantists view the modernist reforms of the Second Vatican Council (which include the local-language Mass of Paul VI) as heretical and consequently don't recognize the authority of popes after Pius XII (died 1958) and I suppose it may have been seen as attractive to name a sedevacantist church after the old form of mass. Since that's a very niche topic and also not actually the church's name, it's better to treat this as an odd lumbering search term and target the more generally relevant article. Is this a useful redirect? The term is not mentioned at the target page, but googling suggests that it is a term that is in use, with most (but not all) of the uses referring to one or more aspects of the speech patterns described at Valley Girl#Valleyspeak (mostly the high rising terminal and/or usage of "like" as a filler word), others like [1] seem to using it to describe a focus on presentation above content. The redirect started life as a very non-neutral description attempted article about something tangentially relevant, that content very similar to the content recently deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Valley Girl Syndrome (VGS) so there are no issues with deleting article content if the conclusion here is that this is not a useful search term.
