Agenda

We are looking at devoting time to several different topics during the meetup.

Currently, probable topics include
  • Collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution - We have recently been put in contact with several people at the SI interested in giving us a tour earlier in the day (details are forthcoming).
  • Launch of new wikimedia theme 'Vector' + usability enhancements launched on Wikimedia Commons, and other Wikimedia sites coming soon. Hats off to all of to designers and beta testers alike.
  • Wikipedia and Higher Education; discussion with GWU media relations representative who's contacted me and may be in attendance.
Other possible activities
  • Discussing Wikimedia DC events (specifically, thinking outside the box on activities)

Note: Discussion that was previously here has been moved to the talk page.

  2. Kumioko ( talk) 11:22, 18 June 2010 (UTC) - Reese Langlois Definately interested but I wonder if we will be somewhat rushed going from the A&S museum to this one. reply
Well, we won't be able to get contact with the A&S museum staff because its the Weekend, so the tour will be by a docent. The American Indian staff looks forward to some form of collaboration, so we really ought to go. Right now we are running on our 2 SI contacts' coordination for these. We are letting the two of them figure it out. Sadads ( talk) 11:39, 18 June 2010 (UTC) reply
