Event: An edit-a-thon! Learn how to contribute to Wikipedia and collaborate with others in editing articles related to West Hollywood and beyond! (We have also been known to engage in deep philosophical discussions about Wikipedia, and by extension, life)
Hashtag: The Twitter and social hashtag is: #ComeEditWikipedia
Facebook event: Coming Soon.
Come contribute to the world's most popular encyclopedia! The West Hollywood Library is hosting an editing party to pump up West Hollywood's presence on Wikipedia. Have no experience with editing Wikipedia? We'll teach you!
Anyone with an interest in editing collaboratively and having a great time is encouraged to attend. Bring digital photos of West Hollywood to upload, and/or your own laptop if you wish. If not, computers will be provided.
What to bring
Laptops (bring it if you got it)
Ideas for topics or articles you might want to work on (though suggestions will be provided for those just looking to be put to work)
We'll have resources available but feel free to bring any relevant reference materials you might have
A friend (you can also bring your spouse, kids, family, etc.) – we love to meet new would-be-editors!
Or, if you don't have any of the above, just bring yourself :-)
Any digital photos you've taken that you would like to use on Wikipedia
I'm always there on Saturday afternoons anyway...see if you can guess who I am!

Olegkagan - Unfortunately, though this is at my library, I have a wedding that I can't miss (I'm a groomsman).
Unfortunately I cannot make it—but only because I've scheduled a research field trip related to a Wikipedia entry!
