Footballer who very likely doesn't exist, or if he does is far more minor than the article suggests. The proffered source 404s out, and a Google search returns non-responsive results (string: "parwinder singh" football).A little blue Bori v^_^v Hasteur Hasteur Ha-- oh.... 04:52, 28 August 2020 (UTC) (Request withdrawn at 20:08, 3 September 2020 (UTC)) reply

  • Keep - player does exist and did play professional football (see Goal.com and Soccerway ELs). Made a number of appearances in the I-League, so meets WP:NFOOTBALL; needs improving, not deleting, with Indian-language sources. Giant Snowman 11:30, 28 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete I'd say he passes NFooty also, however that can't supersede GNG on a retired player who has no real coverage. I've done a google search and I don't see any significant coverage. Govvy ( talk) 12:07, 28 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Delete clearly there is no passage of the general notability guidelines. John Pack Lambert ( talk) 13:37, 28 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Comment perhaps editors with knowledge of Indian football (@ ArsenalFan700:) or with a knack at funding sources for obscure players (@ Jogurney and Nfitz:) can assist? If there is truly nothing out there even in India then I might be inclined to change my !vote, as there is consensus that passing NFOOTBALL is insufficient when GNG is failed. • Comment: He is an India international so there is probably enough sources to keep. I can definitely say he is notable but I also need to see if Parwinder is his real name. Sources can also have his name as Parminder or Parvinder. -- ArsenalFan700 ( talk) 19:12, 28 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Subbing Parminder and Parvinder in the search string above returns absolutely nothing responsive, at least in an English Google search. If there are any sources they'd be in one of the Subcontinental languages. — A little blue Bori v^_^v Hasteur Hasteur Ha-- oh.... 19:30, 28 August 2020 (UTC) reply
Nah, disagree. If you type in Parvinder Singh or Parminder Singh in google WITH ONGC or I-League next to it you get sources. Unfortunately for a player over 30 in India you will need to sort of piece together their career. He is an international though so there should be a website somewhere that has that. -- ArsenalFan700 ( talk) 16:34, 29 August 2020 (UTC) reply
Good spot @ ArsenalFan700: that Soccerway confirms he has 4 appearances for the Indian national team at the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup, though I note that he is not listed (under 'Parminder' or 'Parwinder') at NFT... Giant Snowman 11:16, 29 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Comment: I found a couple minor things: worldfootball.net listing: 07/2006 - 06/2009 Sporting Goa. Is that Sporting Clube de Goa? And here are a couple mentions in game recaps: I-League Second Division – Matchday Five Round-Up and I-League Second Division – Match Day Eight Round UpScottyoak2 ( talk) 17:12, 29 August 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Keep I think there's enough here to confirm that he was a real player. And still played with ONGC after they left the I-League as well, as late as 2015-16 according to this. I searched without success in Marathi, though perhaps Hindi or Punjabi would be more fruitful. Nfitz ( talk) 22:49, 30 August 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Comment: There is also sources that state he was with Tata Football Academy as well before Sporting Clube de Goa plus his name appears a lot for transfer pages [1]. Also, looks like he won't have a national-football-teams page because India sent a u20 team to the 2006 AFC Challenge Cup. So, chalk that up as a mistake from soccerway but can be I guess "oversourced" (not sure what the proper term is here). Either way, he is 100% Keep, just needs a revamp. I'll get to it in a bit. -- ArsenalFan700 ( talk) 06:26, 31 August 2020 (UTC) reply
I couldn't determine absolutely, but at least one of his 2000s Goan appearances seemed to be in a state league. Given how short the seasons are, I don't know if this was some kind of second team, or an off-season thing ... or what. Either way, it doesn't negate his later I-league appearances. • Delete - Article about footballer who played a few matches in the fully-pro I-League a few years ago. Although NFOOTBALL provides a presumption of notability in such cases, there is nothing indicating the GNG can be met, so the presumption is not valid. All of the online English-language coverage is routine (brief mentions in match reports, transfer announcements and the like). Jogurney ( talk) 01:34, 1 September 2020 (UTC) reply
  • Comment for deciding admin: I have revised the article completely, adding in additional sources and information than what was originally there when this article was nominated for deletion. I believe there is enough to suffice for WP:NFOOTBALL and WP:GNG. -- ArsenalFan700 ( talk) 07:16, 3 September 2020 (UTC) reply
