  • Merge - to Tom's of Maine - subject of this article does not meet notability criteria for her own article. May be WP:TOOSOON, as I can't find significant coverage. In addition to being a business person, she is also an artist, but does not meet WP:NARTIST yet either. Netherzone ( talk) 17:27, 11 December 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Keep. Honorary degree meets Wikipedia:Notability_(people)#Any_biography "1. The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for such an award several times." Deleting standalone biographies like these undermines the project's goal of presenting the sum of human knowledge. Jokestress ( talk) 20:44, 11 December 2019 (UTC) reply
    • Comment: I can't believe we have reached the point where a notable female executive and philanthropist who co-founded one of America's most notable personal care brands is considered non-notable and unworthy of a standalone article. Buildings are named after her. I found 20 books and news articles discussing her in 30 seconds. [1] [2] Jokestress ( talk) 19:27, 12 December 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Merge Absolutely no coverage worth looking at. Fails WP:SIGCOV. There has never been any references since the getgo and if they were available they would have been in. scope_creep Talk 12:09, 12 December 2019 (UTC) reply

  • Selected significant coverage:
  • Keep: Article could be better, but notability is established, as per Jokestress. Lamona ( talk) 15:35, 30 December 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Keep: Searches under her full name, “Kate Cheney Chappell”, give more coverage. Also, in most references, she is jointly mentioned with her husband. If that’s notable enough to keep him standalone, it should apply to her as well. LovelyLillith ( talk) 13:03, 1 January 2020 (UTC) reply

  • Comment: I've made improvements on the article using some of the references supplied here, as well as others. Hopefully this will demonstrate her notability. LovelyLillith ( talk) 23:40, 7 January 2020 (UTC) reply
