The first derby match will not be played until July 19, 2017. There is no indication that the name will be JenkinsEar2K. Currently no support for that title can be found anywhere. This is both WP:TOOSOON and WP:OR. Walter Görlitz ( talk) 00:44, 8 March 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Walter can you give me some time? This article was created in anticipation of what will begin in a matter of months. I'm still locating all the sources. How much time do I have? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolyfett ( talkcontribs) 01:05, 8 March 2017 (UTC) reply
    • Generally a few days while editors look for sources to verify if the event is notable or not. The main issue is that there are no sources for the name itself. There may actually be a derby (or rivalry cup) here, but there's not enough to support that now. A similar thing happened with the Hudson River Derby. Fans created the page. It was deleted. Matches were played and it became notable. It moved around but it was eventually populated and all objection to its existence was silenced. Check the AfD and the edit history on the page. • Ok Walter thank you for the understanding of the process. I'm in contact with several fans of both soccer clubs and I was trying to assist in getting the article created prior to the actual matches in July. I've edited articles before, but never have I created one from scratch like this one. I'll save the article template since it took so long to create, then I will attempt to post again if the current article eventually gets deleted. Thanks again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Coolyfett ( talkcontribs) 02:35, 8 March 2017 (UTC) reply
Delete - Sorry but this just isn't notable at this time. Carbrera ( talk) 04:12, 8 March 2017 (UTC). reply
  • Userfy/Draftify for the time being. This might be notable in the future, and the creator needs more time on it anyway. Not ready for the prime time. No such user ( talk) 17:07, 10 March 2017 (UTC) reply

  • Delete Generally with this rivalries a first name is proposed, but then the fanbases of the teams find something else completely. By July 2017 something else might be proposed, and it could be something else in 2020. Or by the time the match is whistled both teams are in the division cellar and this is airing only to diehards on Sun Sports so it won't matter what the name is. Make sure a rivalry is relevant before creating an article, lest we end up with embarrassments like the Civil ConFLiCT. Nate ( chatter) 20:15, 15 March 2017 (UTC) reply
