Hello, UnexpectedSmoreInquisition!
Having an article draft declined at Articles for Creation can be disappointing. If you are wondering why your article submission was declined, please post a question at the
Articles for creation help desk. If you have any other questions about your editing experience, we'd love to help you at the
Teahouse, a friendly space on Wikipedia where experienced editors lend a hand to help new editors like yourself! See you there!

Hey there! I'm bummed to hear that there were problems resulting in you cutting the draft idea. I thought it was a pretty neat one. Creating an article is among one of the hardest tasks to do on Wikipedia; I
barely made it through my first only when users were kind enough to help and I put a lot of work into my second one
only for it to be declined and deleted. I was discouraged at the time and wanted to quit but some users cheered me on to keep going.
I'm telling you this just in case if you felt discouraged. I started guns blazing too but there was a lot that I needed to learn. I found the beset way to lean the ropes of this oddly complicated site was to start small and work closely with editors to ensure I was doing things right. My first project was Super Mario Bros. 35, and although the article is very small I worked on it excessively over two months and drained almost 200 edits into it. I also reached out a lot to Wikiproject video games for help. Speaking of, I wanted to welcome you to the Wikiproject video games community! It doesn't seem like a user directed you here but I'm glad you found your way. The video games Wikiproject is among the most active and has an incredibly welcome, helpful, and experienced editors who you'll probably see a lot of. In short, don't be afraid to reach out and take things slow while you learn the swing of things. We all were new at some point. Let me or the Wikiproject know if you need anything! Hi UnexpectedSmoreInquisition, I've just dropped by to say hi. It's so nice to see new editors who stick around to make a difference. There are too few new editors who dive in and take note of policy and ask questions. I thought you might appreciate a note to say THANK YOU and I hope you stick around. Hey, USI! Your teacher is right that a Wikipedia article itself can't be considered a reliable source. Think of Wikipedia as a collection of reliable sources (the references) about a subject, along with a summary (the article itself) of what those sources say. Editors on Wikipedia can make mistakes in interpreting sources, which is why you shouldn't use a Wikipedia article as a source. What you should do instead is use the references section to more easily find reliable sources.
This, btw, is the reason we don't source to blogs or promotional sites. Blogs are just one person's thinking on a subject, so unless that blogger is a recognized expert, we don't source to blogs. The minimum requirement for reliability in any site is evidence of editorial oversight; that is, it's not just one person's thinking. Promotional sites can't be considered WP:independent of a subject, so we only use those for noncontroversial details and never for proving WP:notability. Thanks for your contributions to List of coincidences. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources and it has no content and no categories. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoyTheKingCanDance ( talk) 02:32, 9 October 2023 (UTC)

Cerebellum ( talk) 10:34, 29 December 2023 (UTC)Hey, I just reached out to some food blogs about using their Verwurelter images in the article, though it may take a bit to get a response, tell her about the email to Commons, and getting that email from Commons, but it should be on the article within a couple of days. I can do stuff! ( talk) 01:33, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
Thank you the gentle tap on the shoulder to show me your own vector! Looking at it after I type this. If I have questions, can I ask you? I know nothing about them, but I'm willing to learn! Oona Wikiwalker ( talk) 09:03, 20 January 2024 (UTC)
It looks like you are starting a new contrib for an upcoming issue. Mind giving a hint what it's going to be about? Just so you know we have a process for evaluating submissions, and usually we start with a topic idea before the contributor starts to write it up. But this is fine too. ☆ Bri ( talk) 20:49, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
