Hi. Regarding the implementation of {{ Infobox power station (temp)}}, the discussions there has sort of stalled, and I believe it is somewhat clogging the normal editing process. It will be a month since I started the discussion tomorrow, which is a bad sign. The purpose of the discussion was basically to understand if the merge is error-free, which I believe is already achieved.

We could always improve the template after the merge just like any other template. Waiting for the perfect template to be formed doesn't make sense; Wikipedia is an ever-improving encyclopedia.

On your diagram shouldn't the v-22 and harrier be semicircular rather than straight? Both of them have thrust vectoring of one type or another. For example angled at 45 degrees I would expect about 70% of the thrust in each direction. GliderMaven ( talk) 18:49, 28 October 2013 (UTC) reply

They could be, but we don't know. So the line is a conservative approximation - perhaps a shaded area would be better. Also, the Harrier changes engine conditions in order to attain sufficient lift, so it's not a true circle arc. Something about the XV-5 made me abstain from a line. Feel free to edit it; I can upload the .odf file again somewhere (the mediafire file is offline). I made the image primarily to display the unique flow multiplication ability of the LiftSystem compared to others. Btw, I have not been able to find a ref for the disc loading of the LiftSystem. Hi, and thanks for your edits on shale gas and shale oil. However, I reverted your addition to the shale oil article, because, as it stands now, the article is about oil generated from kerogen-bearing shale, rather than about oil produced from oil-bearing shale. This is a source of increasing confusion, as the news media, the oil industry, and (as you properly cited) government sources have increasingly used the term shale oil as you used it, and not as the Wikipedia article uses it. I "boldly" made the first clumsy tiltrotor edit, but now it turns out that AW only sought money, source didn't say they got it - so it actually was not notable, and the revert is right. It was a paper project anyway, and it will be at least a decade before it flies, so we have plenty of time to discuss ;-) I guess the blurred lines mean tech is moving towards the best. It seems you have placed some IIHS crash test results in the Lexus RX article, under the fourth generation AL20 section. Although the AL20 went into production on September 28, 2015, it is not the 2015 model officially nor the specific example tested by IIHS that you referenced. Hi Cyrotux . My correction is explained in the edit summary and edit. I will elaborate: Your source quotes this source called <ref name=e145> which was already used in this article. Both state that the Tesla charger supplies up to 145 kW and the cars can accept 120 kW maximum. The article could be improved by referencing that each charge controller (which are quite expensive and use several parallel charge units) supplies two stalls to optimize cost/benefit of the overall installation. The reason is that charge rate is reduced when the battery is near full, so the charger can shift its power to the adjacent car which came after the first. Tesla has made this system quite clever, but also a little complicated to understand. The charge controller is housed in the large boring white box, not the pretty red stands we see in the picture. In short; each stand (not charger) provides a maximum of 120 kW power, which is also what Tesla states. TGCP ( talk) 10:43, 3 January 2017 (UTC) reply

The coords are a low precision version of the "5 miles west-northwest" in the text ;-) Coordinates for large projects are usually given with meter-precision, which I consider strange. Such large areas should be shown with kilometer-precision. The project adress is 1145 South 800 East, Suite 117 Orem, Utah 84097, Orem, UT 84097. That address is not the location of the project. It is simply their working address while everything is worked on. Orem is about 150 miles away from the location of the project itself. I have removed the coordinates until they announce the specific location of the site. Ah, ok. Those were just some options. The 5mi coords were a different way of saying 5mi, with the associated lack of precision. Actually you can express less precision with 39°N 110°W than with "5mi", because those coords could be 38.5-39.4° according to rounding, showing a very large area. The coord option direct readers to the map area, but I guess they can just figure out the place like I did by going Five Miles Out from Green River. This paper has a map on page 106, near the curve in the road. I couldn't find this paper in the article - seems to quote page 5 in this; my coordinates were pretty close. It also describes cooling towers. I was looking for reservoir descriptions, it seems to be a 100 acre sedimentation pond (about 3 million gallons), to which water is lifted from the river by pumps in 12 pipelines. Fixed. I didn't know there was a nomenclature for that - it seemed odd to start the road at a dead end in the middle of nowhere - for now, until it connects with US50. I've removed the mileages as unreferenced - mileposts in Nevada reset back to 0 at county lines, so until we have a reference or they complete the route and actually lay out the posts, I think we should leave it blank. Why ? Lengths are shown on page 215, and there are only two - that should be reference enough. We can choose the accuracy, and 6 and 0.1 is the length regardless of whether distances are added or separate. A few reasons: if the road is actually S-N, then mile 0 would be at US 50, not I-80. I also think you were misinterpreting the log slightly with the 0.1 - the road actually ends at I-80 (so that would be mile 0 were the highway N-S), and the Washoe/Storey county line is 0.1 miles south of that. Eventually, the goal would be for the RJL to look like Nevada State Route 28's. On a different note, I believe the case you presented for sig figs is exactly why they are typically not used for RJL's in favour of a fixed number of decimal places. The road definitely exists in Washoe County, and rounding its length to 0 as it is less than a tenth of the length in other counties strikes me as a disservice. In the prose, sure. The road doesn't start at US50 - yet. It "starts" (by NDOT nomenclature) at the roadblock up in the empty hills 10 miles north of US50, where grading is moving south towards US50. Most people would consider the road to start at I-80, because that's how they get there - the only other way in is the Waltham Way bridge near Patrick (detour). But okay, we follow NDOT and say S-N as the table says now. I can see from NSR-28 that the numbers are added within each county, because mile markers are reset at county lines as you say. What a confusing system. With only two sections, it should be easy to copy the method from NSR-28 and show lengths within counties, with the precise 6.136 and 0.123 given. I wanted to use them first but I wasn't sure if they should be added or separate, but 6 and 0.1 would have worked in either case. We can add the blank unopened 4 mile section in Storey as well. Agree that it is a weird system, but hey, that's what we have to work with. How were you planning on showing the unopened section in Storey County? (Mile -4?) Personally I would leave the unopened section without mile numbers until the road is complete and, as you say, NDOT updates the numbers. I think I understand the system now. I thought the table showed distances between junctions (as shown in the document), but it does not. It shows the /location/ in relation to a specific point. There are probably physical mile markers beside the road, and the junction table correlates to those markers (the county line is 0.136 miles from the 6-mile marker pole). We have no NDOT reference to show those numbers or what the starting point is, so we cannot show them. The actual mile markers may be something different. The road was graded to the Lyons/Storey county line some years ago, but not paved. We don't know where the start point is. There are multiple reasons why this is simply wrong. Eg the fact that corn/maize wasn't a staple at the time, that there is no evidence the sites were contemporary or not ritual burning sites, technical problems about comets, etc. Let alone the authors.
