Rabbit test

Read WP:TRIVIA. Lists of "this work mentioned the rabbit test" add nothing to the article and only clutter it up with trivia. The list mentioned that there was a New York Times crossword puzzle that mentioned it. HOW is that relevant? I say not at all, and WP:TRIVIA agrees. WTF?

I added information. Accurate information, I should note. We even have a whole Wikipedia page on the series in question that anyone could have gone and looked at to get references. Instead I got blindly reverted by lazy editors uninterested in doing work to improve the encyclopedia when the Undo button is faster. So, yeah, that pissed me off.

But not nearly as much being accused of vandalism when I actually added the reference. Jesus. I hope your fundraising drive fails if you treat people this way. 96.39.62.90 ( talk) 03:39, 23 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Oh, and I have never been able to get the ref tags to work and am uninterested in learning a bunch of markup language. But way to remove accurate and cited information because you, who presumably know how to, are unwilling to fix it. That was really classy *golf clap*. 96.39.62.90 ( talk) 03:40, 23 December 2011 (UTC) reply

No, you have it wrong

I didn't revert it because I didn't like the way you did your ref tags, it was because it seemed like you were deliberately adding false information. Why would a Doctor Who book have information like that, anyway? I'll let the page get looked over by someone who is more knowledgeable about the subject. Lucasoutloud ( talk) 03:54, 23 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Because the book talks about Doctor Who in the context of other television of the time? I mean, really, where do you get off accusing me of lying about a citation? Jesus. 96.39.62.90 ( talk) 04:17, 23 December 2011 (UTC) reply
It's already been taken care of, so don't get your panties in a wad. Lucasoutloud ( talk) 04:27, 23 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Disambiguation link notification

Hi. When you recently edited Rogers Heritage High School, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Public school ( check to confirm |  fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Leftism/EDL

Hello-

I am increasingly frustrated here. Anytime I try to present a view that does not fit into leftist ideology, I am censored. People are obfuscating me with vague and loosely interpreted talk about reliable sources. These things are a matter of opinion. I sould be allowed to present an alternate view, I have made solid contributions in music and boxing, but I am not allowed to modify leftist opinions, even in a reasonable fashion, hence the vandalism. I am sick of this. Why can I not present the other side, even with evidence ? Youtube is not a reliable source, granted, but when I present a video of the subject of the article speaking, that is different.

Well, that was blatant vandalism and opinion isn't really a thing that is appropriate on Wikipedia. That, and you blanked out a ton of content. You didn't even provide any citations or sources; it was just an outright attack on Muslims. Lucasoutloud ( talk) 19:01, 24 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Actually, that was after 3 or 4 attempts at a civilised edit, and adding a section. The first couple of edits I did were very reasonable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Iamanexpertjah ( talkcontribs) 19:23, 24 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Well, what I did to your revision was reasonable. Why would you resort to vandalism in lieu of talking to the ones who reverted your edits? Lucasoutloud ( talk) 19:32, 24 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Your input is needed on the SOPA initiative

Hi Lucasoutloud,

You are receiving this message either because you expressed an opinion about the proposed SOPA blackout before full blackout and soft blackout were adequately differentiated, or because you expressed general support without specifying a preference. Please ensure that your voice is heard by clarifying your position accordingly.

Thank you.

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. NOT AN ACTUAL WARNING. JUST TESTING TWINKLE. AndrewN talk 21:02, 23 May 2012 (UTC) reply

New Page Patrolling

Hi. Thank you for your work on New Page Patrol. Please note that page patrolling and nominating articles for deletion require considerable experience. Please be sure to read WP:NPP thoroughly and also familiarise yourself with any special conditions that apply to schools - do follow up on the closures of your AfD nominations. If you are in doubt, don't hesitate to ask me for advice. Thanks, and happy patrolling! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง ( talk) 02:10, 4 June 2012 (UTC) reply

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
