ok.... and page did i blank? 24.91.135.228 23:23, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

you should rever your edit... there is no point on adding the information back when its all in the discography that is why ideleted it in the first place, seeing as someone made a Sonny & Cher singles dsicography instead of making a genereal discography which i made 24.91.135.228 23:39, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

A request

Go ahead. I stole it from user:Dragons flight xD. Actually I stole it from the Bureaucrat's noticeboard. I stole the category thing from Dragons flight. =) Nishkid 64 02:15, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

The information deleted is bogus vandalism. Do your research before you revert my edits. Thanks (these comments unsigned and written by User:72.147.11.87)

Sorry about deleting your welcome.

I blanked the talk page before I knew much about Wikipedia. It hasn't been blanked since I learned the basics. Thanks for welcoming me and I try to welcome new members as much as possible too. Slicedoranges 03:17, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

If my talk page gets edited enough to need that, I will definitely talk to you. Thanks! Slicedoranges 03:22, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Howdy

Just checking in. I found a message that was apparently accidentally truncated before it was archived. I took the liberty to go back and fix it for you. If you decide you need any help with archiving or whatever, don't hesitate to contact me (or most other admins). Best, -- Kukini 17:01, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

OH...and I noticed all the GREAT work you are doing here. Keep it up! We are very glad to have you amongst us! -- Kukini 17:03, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Greetings, thankyou for your kind words. Also, thankyou for editing the archive, I got spanked by an administrator for deleting orphanbots messages. So now I dutifully save them... :-\ Fosnez 03:20, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for cleaning up the diatribe left on my talk page by I AM THE FIRSTLORD GEKKO. This is what I love about Wikipedia, one gets to meet so many interesting people... ;) Thanks again! Gosgood 13:20, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

indef blocks of IPs are rarely appropriate

With exception of proven, stable open proxies, we never block an IP indef because they change owners. Between 3 hours and 24 hours is better. If there is a history of these short blocks you can raise it to a week. For IPs that change owners very often such as AOL proxies and schools, we block for up to 6 months anonymous users only and disable account creation, leaving the template {{ anonblock}} or {{ schoolblock}}, though this should only be done in extreme circumstances. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 17:21, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Oh, I just saw your message on that personal talk page, how can you tell this is a username, and not an IP? HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 17:23, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Username concern

If I was you I'd go for an immediate indef block with User:اسرار as non latin characters aren't allowed by WP:U (Thank god as well because I really don't know how I'd ever remember the name let alone type it (I've copied and pasted it here!). Then on his talk page copy {{usernameblock}} to let them know (sorry for preaching this to you I just wasn't sure if you'd know which template to use!). Go for it! He's placed an unblock notice, and I thought I'd make you aware of all the facts in case you didn't fully check the AIV report I left. The link he's trying to insert is to a site owned by JB196, see the long term abuse report. He's already had one site it used to be hosted on blacklisted. Thanks. One Night In Hackney 01:02, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

No problem, just wanted to make you aware of all the facts. I've filed a possible open proxy report anyway (third one for JB196 today!). Thanks. One Night In Hackney 01:14, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Our Town - vacuous talk w/POV?

Isn't this just junk when it doesn't contribute to the discussion? It's nice when kids participate, but I blanked the comments to keep thie signal to noise level high enough that people can find the information they're looking for. -- Dhimelright 18:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

I was wondering what was the reason why you were reverting talk on my talk page. -- Kukini hablame aqui 19:31, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Spelling of Archaeology/Archeology

Both spellings of the word are acceptable (see www.dictionary.com) in American English. The spelling with "ae" is the preferred British spelling. There is no pronunciation difference. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mosamiazaz ( talkcontribs) 20:44, 4 March 2007 (UTC).

RfA thanks

Hi, Kukini. Just popping along to say thanks for your support at my RfA. I think you got in with about fifteen minutes to spare before it was officially closed! I was, however, sleeping at the time, so it was a pleasant surprise! It was a great level of support, and a humbling result. Thanks very much. :) Bubba hotep 21:55, 6 March 2007 (UTC)

Merging Help

I have noticed that Max Taogaga and Sivi Afi are seperate articles about the same person (one name is his real and one is an "alias". I would like to nominate it for merging except I on't know how to. Can u help me please? WackadooXanadu 03:59, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Sivi Afi is one of several articles I'm slowly working on. I plan to redirect the Sivi article once the information is transferred to Max. Some information is the same, but not all of it. Usually for wrestler articles: the real name is the correct article name to use. RobJ1981 20:02, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
As an update: it's complete. I've moved the relevant information, and the Sivi article is now a redirect. Now the issue is sourcing for Max. Currently there is only one link (and it doesn't provide enough to be the only source for the article). RobJ1981 21:51, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

New WikiProject Illinois Collaboration Division

Hey, saw you were a participant in the Illinois WikiProject. I thought I would let you know that there is a new Collaboration Division up for the project. The goal of the division is to select an article or articles for improvement to Good article standard or higher. There is a simple nomination process, which you can check out on the division subpage, to make sure each candidate for collaboration has enough interested editors. This is a good way to get a lot of articles to a quality status quickly. Please consider participating. More details can be seen at the division subpage. IvoShandor 11:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Rfa thanks

Hey, just stopping by to say thanks a bunch for supporting my Rfa which passed successfully on saturday, I am honoured to serve the community. template

Unfortunately, that is actually my inability to type correctly, apparently. The template is actually {{uw-vandalism1}}. I just got distracted and forgot the uw! I fixed it though. Hopefully they weren't too confused. Natalie 23:37, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

The rollback button kind of freaks me out, especially w/ IPs. Any advice you have would be welcome, of course. Natalie 00:06, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
I think I remember reading somewhere that it just rolls back edits that are "on top", yes? Natalie 00:12, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
That's why rollback makes me nervous with IPs. I've definitely come across dynamic IPs that are currently vandalizing but were making good contributions 3 weeks ago or something, and those good edits are still the most recent edit. Natalie 00:19, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Actually, I think I'm the one causing the confusion. I'm talking about the same IP number that has been assigned to various people, some of whom have been being constructive and others who are vandalizing. Hope that makes sense. Natalie 00:26, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Man, that thing is fast. Thanks for your help! Natalie 00:40, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

Requesting an opinion on a username

Hi there, I know you're a regular at RFC/U. I warned a user today about his username, Filiusdei ( talk contribs), as in Son of God. What do you think? My original post to him is here and his reply and mine are here. Regards, Flyguy649 talk contribs 02:57, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

"Summer School" edit.

I made the change I made because what was said was inaccurate and irrelevant in the stub for the film "Summer School." Jacksosh

I understand your intention, but would recommend looking at the article history - this same person has come back repeatedly and made the same edits after having been pointed in the right direction. I would like to leave this to you if you'd be willing because they are annoying me. Natalie 22:33, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Yeah. I'm not sure where I fall in the whole welcoming-possibly-problematic editors debate, but I suspect that this person has been coming back regularly to remove any negative info about this particular institution. I did attempt to point them toward some relevant policy guidelines, but it was in a less formal context. Maybe you will have better luck communicating with them - I'm not feeling especially patient at the moment. Natalie 22:36, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
It's really f-ing cold here for some reason. I'm not intending on abandoning that particular article - I actually ended up watchlisting it because so much deletion had gone unnoticed. But for some reason this particular person is just pushing my buttons right now. I'll be in and out for the rest of the evening though, so I can also keep an eye out. Natalie 22:42, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

Username Disagreement

I have a question about user names. How long does it take a user name to be approved or disapproved at WP:RFCN? I'm somewhat sick of all the politics at Wikipedia and I just want to edit articles instead of listening to the meaning of my own user name. Thanks! 1312020Wikicop 22:46, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
