Before you start doing a lot of editing, you might want to take the Tutorial. It gives a lot of basic info you'll want to get you oriented on Wikipedia.
You can sign your name on talk pages by using three tildes (" ~~~ ") for your username and four (" ~~~~ ") for your username and a timestamp.
I would also reccommend checking out WikiProject Protected areas since you seem to be interested in that kind of stuff.

I thought I might point you at a few things, as you seem to be working a lot on Arizona.
- List of lakes in Arizona has a large number of lakes that still have no article.
- Wikipedia:WikiProject Arizona is a great place to interact with others who are also editing and building on Arizona articles.

File:St-marks-lighthouse.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:St-marks-lighthouse.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:St-marks-lighthouse.jpg]].
