Since the debate on the file has yet to be officially finalised. There is no reason to remove the link on the page. Also, I do not believe it is a copyright violation if there is a clear fair-use rationale.
You again show a profound ignorance of Wikipedia. Wikipedia's policies about copyright are extremely serious because of the legal implications. If free-use rationale has been challenged, the image stays out of articles. Please respect Wikipedia's policies. And take your case to the image's talk page, not my talk page. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Lady Gaga Fame. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Hi Cresix, thanks for your reminders but you've already made it clear that editors can be blocked. Instead, why not explain more of the nuances of the problem in detail on my talk page instead of replying via templates? I'm convinced that you believe I am inexperienced and indeed, I would truly appreciate it if you offer me more guidance. If you look at the edit times, I left you a message before reverting your edit so I wasn't ignoring your message.

The "nuances" of being blocked for copyright violation are clearly explained in templates; templates are carefully worded and generally better than user-created warnings. Templating you was appropriate, especially after you ignored the first warning from another editor. The "nuances" of copyright and fair use are explained on the relevant policy page (and you obviously know which page because you selectively quoted it) and at File talk:Lady Gaga Fame EDP.jpg. Your image came with no source specified, meaning we don't know who made it or where it came from. In addition, it's a bit off-model, perhaps in part because it's a 2D drawing of a 3D-modeled character. I work in the Marketing and Communications division at UWA, and have been asked to swap around the placing of the University's logo and its coat of arms, so the logo (which is what we use to identify ourselves, and what our community associates with us) is in the dominant position. I see you have spent a lot of time recently making edits to university pages from across the world, so I assume you have a genuine interest in the tertiary education sector. That said, I am unaware of any requirement of Wikipedia's that the coat of arms lead the summary box, with the logo playing a secondary role; please correct me if I'm wrong in my assumption.

Obviously, I have no wish to enter an editing war whereby I make a change and you revert it, so I'm interested to know your thoughts on this matter, and also whether you would be happy to make the change yourself. The coat of arms is a lovely picture, to be sure, but it is virtually irrelevant to the University's public image. We are of the view that our public image should be properly represented by the picture most familiar to our students, staff, alumni and the broader Western Australian community.

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a " cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Cinderella and Aurora photos

Now that Cinderella is being shown in her original dress colors here on Wikipedia I think Aurora should be shown in the colors she was advertised in. On her page at Disney wikia, she is wearing a blue dress. That was the color of the dress she had for most of her original film and it's even the color of her dress in the Kingdom Hearts series. She was also originally advertised wearing blue. Look at these VHS tapes. [1] [2] Plus, there are these theatrical release posters. [3] [4] She also used to wear it in Disney parks. Heck at the El Capitan Theatre in 2008, she is even advertised wearing blue in the marquee. [5] If we are instead going to base it on the colors, they are being advertised in now, then Cinderella's dress should not be silvery white if Aurora's is pink. Disney disambiguation

Hello! While I understand your reasons for adding "Disney" to the disambiguation of articles, in most cases it is unnecessary. Per WP:PRECISE, disambiguation should be "precise enough to unambiguously define the topical scope of the article, but no more precise than that". Therefore, unless additional disambiguation is needed, such as when a character and movie of the same name have separate articles (eg. Aladdin (Disney film) and Aladdin (Disney character)), please do not add "Disney" when the current disambiguation is sufficient. Thanks! Fortdj33 ( talk) 14:12, 10 July 2015 (UTC) reply

The King's School

Removing "The" really grates, I'm afraid. I know that normally "The" and "A" are omitted from headings, but here there are good enough reasons to retain it. I think you'll get flack if you do the same for the article on the eponymous UK school. Tony (talk) 13:08, 25 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Hello. Many grate instantly, but moving The King's (The Cathedral) School, with its very peculiar name, really requires some explanation. Let's assume you were mistaken about your understanding of the guideline and its scope. Could you please either move them all back, or provide an explanation? If you don't then I will, and I will ask others to, and that might be embarrassing for you. Almost all the articles have already been subject to some scrutiny to justify their The. Changing the article name but leading the lead unchanged (as at The King's School, Canterbury is plain illogical. The definite article is part of the formal name of the establishment, and has been since its refounding in 1541. Similarly, changing The Southport School to Southport School was incorrect. In Wikipedia:Manual of Style#Article titles it says "Do not use A, An, or The as the first word ... unless it is an inseparable part of a name". In the case of The Southport School, it is the official name, which can be confirmed looking at their website (even their domain name is TSS) or their official name registration. Please cease this article renaming and discuss it with others. I note you have repeated your edit renaming The Southport School to Southport School without discussing it and have continued to make many similar article renamings despite a number of other editors coming to your talk page to raise concerns about it. I note your edit summary refers to WP:THEUNI as a justification. Firstly, there is the question of whether schools are universities, but putting that to one side for the moment, it also says "A definite article should be applied only if The is used in running text throughout university materials and if that usage has caught on elsewhere." This is the case with The Southport School which is both the official name and the name in common usage (that or its abbreviated form "TSS" noting the presence of the "T"). The same applies to The Gap State High School. The name, The Gap, is the name of the Brisbane suburb in which the high school is located, it is not just the name of the school. I have begun moving them, and think we should ask everyone (or a bot) to move them all back. From what I've seen, not much consideration was being given to the exceptions in the guideline being referenced. Though there will be inaccuracies, because of names changes as well as misplaced definite articles, I can't imagine the previous situation would be any worse than the current one. You may add The Armidale School to your list of disgruntled educational institutions. There are any number of Armidale schools but only one is known as The Armidale School and has been known as such since 1896.
