World No. 1Is it necessary to discuss such a minuscule change? On every player's talk page? Do you realize that would be the end of Wikipedia? You'd do best pointing me to a page where it says it should be written World No. 1 instead of world number one. ☆ CieloEstrellado 06:33, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Novels is currently holding a roll call, which we hope to have annually. Your username is listed on the members list, but we are unsure as to which editors are still active within the project. If you still consider yourself an active WP:Novels editor, please add your name back to the Active Members list. Also feel free to join any of our task forces and take a look at the project's Job Centre to get involved! Next month we will begin the coordinator election selection process. How would you feel about taking the unusual step of semi-protecting the talk page of Lil Wayne ( | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views)? It has really degenerated ... no discussion about the article takes place, and most of the edits are either anonymous forum/chat comments or vandalism and named editors reverting them. You indefinitely semiprotected the article nearly a year ago, and now the talk page takes the brunt. Kww ( talk) 15:06, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
I think when you add {{ pp-semi-template}} to a template such as {{ Google}}, you need to put it inside the noinclude tags. See for example the usage in {{ Countries of Central Asia}}. The {{ pp-semi-template}} does strange things if it gets included. Thanks. -- Teratornis ( talk) 19:36, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
SuggestBot predicts that you will enjoy editing some of these articles. Have fun!

SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. Your contributions make Wikipedia better -- thanks for helping.
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please tell me on SuggestBot's talk page. Thanks from ForteTuba, SuggestBot's caretaker.
P.S. You received these suggestions because your name was listed on the SuggestBot request page. If this was in error, sorry about the confusion. -- SuggestBot ( talk) 05:37, 28 September 2008 (UTC)

I have made a comment at your image for deletion. It could be placed on the Steve McClaren if it is him and the image can be cut to take the other people out. What do you think? 211.30.111.105 ( talk) 10:56, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
I have noticed that Collectonian has been bullying and deying consensus in relation to this article, see talk page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:My_Neighbor_Totoro I am not an admin and don't much have the patience to take this through whatever disputes/arbitration process is recommended in such situations, but I'm getting a bit sick of this sort of tactic. It seems to be bullying and it's a pattern. S/he also ignores consensus (again). I don't know much about the subject matter, but even I can see some of the grounds given for these tags are both wrong and defying consensus (what is the difference between 712 words and 700 that requires a tag? Why not just delete 12 words?). None of it seems constructive, it seems inherently negative, and my guess is that this is similar to some of the dragonball tagging (which I've been fighting where I notice), namely an attempt to build a paper trail to let him nuke the article quickly later via either a merge or AfD. Can someone please talk to this editor? JJJ999 ( talk) 07:32, 30 September 2008 (UTC)
...for the defense at my RfA--I really couldn't see where the oppose was coming from, either, but to each her own. Still, I appreciate that you feel otherwise! Gladys J Cortez 23:50, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Done. The tipping point for me was the author's username - see also User talk:Nashvillenoir. It's not all that spammy, as you note - and was much improved before being tagged - so, I've restored it. Best, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 18:56, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Why on earth would you restore Image:Revan.jpg? It doesn't meet the WP:NFCC requirements for inclusion since it is hardly distinct from the image in the infobox. Rather that blithely reverting my edits to consolidate and diminish in-universe plot summary and non-notable tripe, perhaps you should review WP:WAF, WP:GNG, WP:NFCC. The onus for restoring or retaining information is on the adder/restorer -- yet none of your text reverts did anything to address an absence of citations to third-party sources. -- EEMIV ( talk) 13:26, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
They didn't even notify the talk page where consensus was just reached, this really is reprehensible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Tien_Shinhan#Tien_Shinhan JJJ999 ( talk) 07:05, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Dear
GlassCobra, thank you so much for your words of support, kindness, and your trust in me. My
request for Adminship has been closed, and the support the community has shown will be with me forever. I have no way to properly express how grateful I am, and all I can tell you is this: I shall try not to disappoint you nor anyone else with my use of the buttons... and if I mess up, please
tell me! :) If you ever need my help, either for admin-related stuff or in any other way, you are welcome to ask, and I shall do my very best.
Please take care. G.A.S 16:56, 7 October 2008 (UTC) |
heh. Yeah, pretty much. :) I actually had one person put {{unblock|I know for a fact that I should receive two more warnings}} when I blocked them after a level 2 warning. :D
Of course, I'm not as rogue as NawlinWiki is, but I suppose that if I got attack as frequently as he does, I would be somewhat more cynical than I am now. BTW, if you have Huggle, you should get on. There is a freeking lot of vandalism. J.delanoy gabs adds 18:49, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
GlassCobra, I'd like to thank you for voting in my RFA. Thanks also for expressing your trust in me, and I hope that I live up to your expectations. Don't forget, if you have any questions (or bits of advice), please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks again, Spencer T♦ C 02:27, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

I work for Guy and am available via phone as well. 707-290-2467. We have some critical errors on Guy's page...specifically his place of birth which is Columbus, Ohio. Also, we would like to protect his family by suggesting he lives in Northern California rather than specifically Santa Rosa, Ca. How can we get that changed without you changing it back? ( Tomn2002 ( talk) 13:11, 8 October 2008 (UTC))
One of the advantages of not having many supporters at your RFA is that there are fewer people to thank at the end. Thanks for your support and your willingness to look at my complete record. I'm going to try to interpret this resounding defeat as a statement that I should choose my words more carefully in the future, and remember that every statement I make gets recorded forever, just waiting to get carefully transcribed onto my next RFA. I would go insane if I believed that it was repudiation of what I truly meant: that no editor should consciously and willfully ignore guidelines and policies, and editors that repeatedly do so should not be rewarded for or supported in doing so.
I'm sure I'll get back to full speed editing soon, because, after all, , every day, and in every way, I am getting better and better.— Kww( talk) 05:33, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Stifle closed the Tien Shinhan AfD as "Don't delete. Whether and where to merge can be discussed on the article talk page." During the AfD, there were 9 comments for merges and 6 keeps with 3 of those from canvassed parties. Can that be considered consensus or must yet another discussion be started at the character list to deal with the issue? -- AnmaFinotera ( talk · contribs) 13:03, 10 October 2008 (UTC)
Could you please delete the history of the article Danielle Lloyd (motivational speaker)? Otherwise it is pretty easy to undo the redirect and restore the article. According to User:zzuuzz's comment in the AfD something like that had already happened, so it reasonably likely that it may happen again. Thanks, Nsk92 ( talk) 17:40, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Well, amazingly enough the editor who created this article has removed the deletion tags. I've never understood the point of this process when it's inevitable that they'll be taken off and everyone then gets dragged through the bureaucracy of an AFD anyway, just to arrive at the same ultimate conclusion of deletion. Do you fancy starting it off? I get confused by the process tbh. -- Nickhh ( talk) 09:37, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
