talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should
sign your posts by typing four
tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button
located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --

Sorry I was removing what I thought is ip vandalism and could have made a mistake. Lately, I have seen lots of Iran related articles being hit by such vandalism and when I see an ip, there is a good chance it is a vandal. Hi, welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be involved in some form of an editing dispute at Iranian peoples. I'm an administrator here, and I would like to notify you of Wikipedia's policies on civility and etiquette. It's especially important to try to stay cool when you're in a conflict with another user. Comments such as " It gets better, an ignorant who didn't even read the attacked papers and lie about reading them first, accuses me of POV, an tells me that that they actually didn't read it" violates these policies and are unhelpful to the community. There is a way to resolve disputes without insulting one another, and I as an admin am going to have to enforce Wikipedia rules if things get out of hand. This means possible blocks to offending users, which I don't want to have to do, but may be ultimately necessary if a conflict gets to that point. Please try to remain calm and review Dispute resolution so that you can try to achieve a consensus or compromise with Tajik and the other users on the talk page. Thanks, and happy editing. Hi, I agree with you. Most of the genetic test done on Kurds in Turkey and in Iran have showen to be related to Western and Central Iranians. I have looked at the PDF of the Origins of Kurds. It clearly shows that Kurds of Turkey are closest to Iranians in Tehrana and Kurds of Iran. I am not sure about Kurds of northern Iraq as they have mixed with or Kurdified Assryians and Arabs hence the genetic connection to Jews. I think you should include this in the Origins of Kurds page about the connection between Kurds of Turkey and Iran and Persians. -- STDS9 ( talk) 01:13, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!
