Thanks. I wasn't concerned so much about three links as the idea that you might significantly raise the link density throughout the article. That didn't happen, though. I'd be happy to review

DYK nomination for 1848 Marlborough earthquake
Hi Ceranth,
Thanks for nominating this. Can I suggest an alternative hook that matches the sources better?
Well I found out that it wasn't the first mag 7+ in NZ for which written records exist, which means I had to come up with an alternative hook and also that gives me another article to write (the
1843 Wanganui earthquake), for which I know the DYK hook before I start! Anyway it's going to be in the next update.

We're still going strong. Couple of things though; please note that you must make it known you are in the WikiCup when nominating FAs, FLs, FPos, FPs, and FSs. This is to lower the possibility of bias. We're also changing the way you get to the next round. Now, the top two from each round get through, along with ten wildcards. This means that even if you're not in the top two you can still get into Round 2, so even if you're in the
group of death you can still go through. Hopefully this will be fairer for all. We've also unfortunately had our first withdrawal - Truco has left the Cup. Best wishes for him in the future.

Probably should be cloned out rather than cropped out (already a tight crop as is), which is why I didn't do it immediately. You also could take a look at the original TIFF, which is slightly wider (though not much). I'd be glad to co-nom once it's cloned properly. I might have a go at it in the next day or two.

Anopheles
Thanks for the deletion. It was a typo on may part and I hadnt figured out how to delete the article. The proper article is under 'Anopheles: Taxonomy' now. BTW some one has put a notability notice on this. The taxonomy of Anopheles is a HUGE problem. Only a limited number of species are involved in disease transmission. Some species use rock pools; others use tree holes; still others use discarded tires and similar objects. If you want to deal with malaria and other nasties it is essential to know which species is causing the problem in your area. Which is why there has been such an effort in this direction.

We have 31 days left, just one month left in the first round. The first two months have already produced spectacular results, and we're hoping to see a great race to the end of the round. Get those nominations in for them to count for this round, but remember that any nominations that are not promoted before the end of this round, will still count for round two if you make it. We unfortunately had another contestant, What!?Why?Who?, withdraw this week and we wish them the best.
We saw some big jumps in content upgrades this week! We saw 33 new good articles, 3 new featured articles and lists, 8 featured pictures, 5 featured sounds, and 24 did you know items. (Also note, there are 111 good articles and 222 did you know items as of this newsletter). Keep it up during the final push to round two. GARDEN, iMatthew //

Congrats on
Nevado del Ruiz! We really should be seeing more volcano-related articles at FA. ResMar 23:46, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Mount Thielsen has been nominated for a
good article reassessment. Articles are typically reviewed for one week. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to
good article quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, the good article status will be removed from the article. Reviewers' concerns are
here. Thank you.

The start of Round 2 has been in some respects an explosive one, with one user in particular almost in the triple figures after just a week. There are obviously contestants with no points or very few, but as it is so early in the round this can probably be excused. Keep it up everyone!
Note that due to unforeseen circumstances, Mitchazenia has been eliminated from the contest. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Greetings:
I restored text from your extensive deletions of Potentially impacted structures and features, which I assume were in good faith. It may take me some time to locate and add the appropriate references as I am quite involved with other work right now. If you consider the text itself unworthy of inclusion then that is a matter appropriate for further discussion.
Thank you, and best wishes,

Yes, that's fine. It was an attempt to remove the information that was not in any other sources I found. If you have them, that would be great if you could source them. Ceranllama chat post 16:21, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
Actually, I do not have references at this time, other than a personal e-mail from a manager at BART, in response to my request to a BART director concerning the the Oakland Hills Tunnel. The writings are however based upon knowledge obtained through reading newspaper and magazine articles and material from radio and television shows and so references can be found but may take some time. I will assume that you do not consider the material doubtful at this point.
Note that the tag {{unreferenced}} is to be treated differently than the tags {{fact}}, which implies dubiousness, suggesting that if not subsquently referenced that the material should be removed.
If an article has no references, and you are unable to find them yourself, you can tag the article with the template {{Unreferenced}}, so long as the article is not nonsensical or a biography of a living person, in which case request admin assistance. If a particular claim in an article lacks citation and is doubtful, consider placing {{fact}} after the sentence or removing it. This will add a citation needed label. ... If a claim is doubtful but not harmful to the whole article or to Wikipedia, use the {{fact}} tag, but remember to go back and remove the claim if no source is produced within a reasonable time. (
