The references are good, but I personally feel that she just is not a notable enough person for a biography article. : ( I think that it would be better to create an article about Hehku instead, if the article gets deleted by vote here. She is known primarily for that TV show, right? (See this policy.) All of the contents on your article could easily fit into a new article about Hehku, so I would like to encourage you to write that article instead, if the current one gets deleted. Doing a biography article successfully is rather hard, due to all those complex policies! Articles about TV shows don't have the same problems.

Hi Ceosad, thanks for the answer and instructions. I won't get discouraged  :) in fact I want to perfect this article because I definitely think notability isn't an issue when someone occupies prime time national television slots. It says 'If the event is highly significant, and the individual's role within it is a large one, a separate article is generally appropriate.' on the (See this policy.) page. Hehku is prime time national television programming and she is one of the 3 hosts of this talk show, meaning they are all household names in Finland and she herself has covered all relevant national periodicals, most recently two weeks ago (Kauneus ja Terveys, publishes nearly 100000 prints in Finland). The notability is there, girls and women in Finland know her very well, the question is if I have referenced it properly. @ Nemanja.rodic: The article will stay nominated until a moderator either removes the nomination or deletes the article. I believe the status of the vote and discussion is checked weekly. I could not withdraw my nomination myself, and I am not a moderator. The process is explained here. To add to what Steel943 said above: Alternatively (when you're ready for the move), you can simply tag the redirect page blocking the move with speedy deletion option WP:G6, {{ Db-move}} in this case. After the page is deleted, if the deleting administrator doesn't take care of it, you can move the page there yourself. Finally, you can request speedy deletion of the page where the draft used to reside after the move has taken place, with a WP:U1 tag.

@ Steel1943: Wouldn't this alternate method be the way to go in this case? WP:RM/TR is used for potentially controversial moves, which I don't believe to be the case in this situation, unless this has been previously deleted or has history I'm unaware of. @ I9Q79oL78KiL0QTFHgyc:Yes, those links were indeed not directly relevant on this person, but they were directly relevant on the single event he is known for! As it is stated in WP:SINGLEEVENT, the general rule on these cases is to cover the event primarily. As you know, the article for primo-vascular system was deleted a few months ago. This is why I think it should be reasonable to cover his research in wider detail, that is not typical on biography articles for people who have much more varied achievements. Regarding the Hindawi Publishing, I agree but external links or further reading sections don't need to use only reliable sources. WP:ELMAYBE Ceosad ( talk) 23:12, 4 October 2015 (UTC) reply

I think we should stick to biographical sources. These could be in fringe journals if you like (there are a few that are cited in the article right now), but we don't want the article to become a coatrack for a deleted page. If this guy is notable for his invention of this pseudoscientific concept, then by all means we should discuss the concept, but going into further detail past his involvement is inappropriate. From what I saw of the sources that were included, they were more interested in discussing the new ideas associated with his initial proposal rather than the Kim himself or his initial idea itself. jps ( talk) 23:32, 4 October 2015 (UTC) reply

@ I9Q79oL78KiL0QTFHgyc: Yeah, it sounds reasonable to draw a line where his involvement ends. These fringe journals pretty much have to be used as sources, as this person has been quietly purged from the North Korean history, although it is probably debatable what parts of these fringe journals can be considered reliable even for biographical use. I wonder if he was purged for political reasons or because of some sort of external criticism? Of course, North Korea is so opaque we may never know. @ I9Q79oL78KiL0QTFHgyc: It looks like South Korean online newspapers and magazines do talk about him in detail. I found this and this. There are some Korean acupuncture journals out there too. I might collect some of the better Korean/Chinese sources on the article's talk page in the future. (About his purge: In 1967 there was some kind of political Kapsan faction incident, and in the late 1960s all kinds of unofficial publishing was banned. I also wonder if it is possible to dig up something about the fact that he was a defector from the South to the North. It might not be enough to take care of the WP:SINGLEEVENT, but it is a start. I think I read that it was at least in part due to the North Korean government offering a tremendous amount of resources for scientist to work there. When your lab is devoted to studying acupuncture, a topic that maligned as pseudoscientific by mainstream science, it makes a lot of sense that you might find the resources offered by North Korea to be extremely attractive compared to the US-based grants that were not liable to look too kindly on his "breakthrough". jps ( talk) 01:30, 5 October 2015 (UTC) reply

@ I9Q79oL78KiL0QTFHgyc: It is possible, that the resources for research were an incentive, but the defections during the 1950s to North Korea were almost universally because of ideological reasons. The exact timing and reasons of his defection would be very important details to find. I am somewhat unsure how the acupuncture was perceived in the 1950s-1960s, or at an earlier date under Japanese rule. However, the North Koreans have a tradition of supporting research for some very scary alternative medicines, such as "health injections". I guess the Chinese like to buy them. @ Willgee: I am not sure if the scan can be uploaded to Wikipedia, due to copyright/fair use concerns. How about uploading the picture to some outside hosting site like Filesmelt, and then giving us the url? We just need to see the scan to validate the source. Best wishes for 2016! I am responding here to your comments rather than risk violating Talk page guidelines. Personally I think the quest to get a photo of Kim donated to Wikipedia is likely to be fruitless. But I'm happy to be proved wrong. The best chance is that Russia releases a photo if he goes there. The RfC is now formally closed, and I certainly don't want to continue the debate for year after year. Though that is probably inevitable, as there is nothing to stop random passers-by venting their spleen. @ Jack Upland: I would not really mind at all in the case that anybody would try to "undermine" fair use as a result of the newest efforts. Actually that was one of my motivations to do something, so that the discussions could get slightly more fresh. Also, it would (hopefully) be slightly easier and quicker to end the continuous arguments rather than starting them from the beginning every single time to reach the same conclusion. In the endless discussions it has been stated innumerable times that AP and the others remained uncontacted, but nobody had done anything substantial recently to move that part of the discussion forward, until I and Tonystewart14 started our quests. My hope is that the people who tend to come and randomly complain, or otherwise start the inevitable discussion, on the talk page could be better deterred and discouraged by simply telling them that "we have already tried it" instead of listening the blame of not contacting the photographers and arguments coming from misunderstandings of fair use policies and guidelines. This might be wishful thinking though. The arguing on the talk page had gotten really annoying this year, but I do not have ill will or blame towards you or anybody else. The other leaders' article talks are sometimes bad, but Kim Jong Un talk is just plainly ridiculous. You are almost certainly correct about Russia, and my hopes were on that solution too, but Kim Jong Un has been more isolationist than his father... Frankly, my time would probably be better spent on complaining about the biased WP:NCKO guideline, as the nature of the photographers' work make success unlikely. We shall see what happens next year. Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. (Cross-posted to 2 other editors who edited the file talk page) Hi, I'm a little unclear on the exact procedure that's going on here and what to do next. An editor tagged the article for deletion, and there was a bit of back-and-forth, with an editor saying (in an edit summary) "You must leave the di template in place until decided upon by an admin" (emphasis added).

This sounds like a speedy-delete situation where one person decides the issue and that doesn't seem right to me. I want a full-dress discussion at Wikipedia:Files for discussion or wherever and let's get consensus to delete the image, if it is going to be deleted. If it was a contested-speedy-delete another editor could just remove the deletion tag (one did, but it was reverted). Not sure of the procedure here so I don't want to jump in myself, but could whomever is responsible and knowledgeable move this over to where it goes?
