I have a couple of questions about your forecast; when will the "press release" on the Unnamed hurricane come out? And also, you said you would have the report on Hurricane Helene out on March 18. Where is it? Also, wouldn't it be awesome if there were two unnamed storms in one season. One could've been in Kirk's wake and that's why the NHC missed it. Can you please help me with my Menu and my picture of the Day? I want them to have the same bacground colors as the Wikiproject Tropical Cyclones page, but I don't know how to get it exactly right. Icelandic Hurricane #12 17:08, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your support vote on my RFA. The final result was a successful request based on 111 support and 1 oppose. -- CBDunkerson 20:49, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello Weatherman90: Thank you for supporting me in my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 77/3/0. I hope I can perform at the standards expected for administrators. If I make any mistakes, or you need anything, please let me know. Prodego talk 01:48, 4 April 2006 (UTC) |
Hi Weatherman90. Just a quick note to thank you for voting on my RfA, which recently passed 62/13/6. I want to let you know that I will do my best to address all concerns that were raised during the RfA. I will also do my very best live up to this new responsibility and to serve the community, but please let me know if I make any mistakes or if you have any feedback at all on my actions. Finally, if there is anything that I can assist you with - please don't hesitate to ask. Cheers TigerShark 04:13, 4 April 2006 (UTC) |
I noticed that someone else other than WSDA had 6 unique picks. How come only one got it, and why WSDA? P.S. Are there going to be any other awards, not necessarily font colors? Icelandic Hurricane #12 21:19, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Snyder headshot.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{ Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. - SCEhard T 01:36, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Hi Matt- thanks a lot for your support on my recent, (barely) successful rfa. Please feel free to leave me any comments or criticisms on my talk page! -- He: ah? 22:16, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
Hello, Weatherman90! Thank you for your support in my recent successful request for adminship. If you ever have problems that you could use my assistance with or see me doing stupid things with my new buttons, don't hesitate to contact me. Happy editing, Kusma (討論) 02:22, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I do feel that NSLE is paying extra attention to me. It's quite annoying. Why do you ask? Icelandic Hurricane #12 21:48, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
I was thinking, I noticed you said that you were hoping that someone would be nice enough to nominated you for adminship. Well, I'm nice enough! On one condition; you must nominate me, too. It's ok if people oppose me and I end up not becoming an admin. I won't be suprised if I don't become an admin. But, plz respond soon! Icelandic Hurricane #12 22:21, 10 April 2006 (UTC)

Could you please help me again with my userpage? On the page User:Icelandic Hurricane/Userboxes, I can't get the green area in the background to cover the userboxes. In addition to that, is there a way I can get my writing on my userpage next to my userboxes instead of under? Thanx again. Icelandic Hurricane #12 21:00, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
I love that project, man. Thats really ceative! I do that too in my spare time and I just started a season (2007) on my user page. But, uh... whats gonna happen when Alberto really forms? You gonna keep your original cat 4 in May Alberto? And wheres Alpha - Epsilon on your hurricane page? Cyclone1 01:05, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
5,000 edits? According to the Interiot tool, you are 602 edits short of that (and the replication lag is just 2 seconds now, so don't even try it ;). Kate's tool says the same thing. Busted! :D -- § Hurricane E RIC § Damages archive 23:59, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

I'd like to suggest to you that the Dean Koontz Novels article be split into individual articles, one per novel - as is the norm, more or less. This shouldn't be too difficult, since the big article is quite complete now (and quite good also). Note that some DK's novels already have a WP entry, so in these cases some kind of merge would be in order... GregorB 17:45, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Just so you know, if you are planning on splitting this AFTER you collect the information, it would be much more appropriate to either a) do this in your sandbox or b)assemble the information outside of wikipedia and add it all later- as you know every edit takes up memory, and this strategy of yours seems rather ridiculous. --

Just edit the page and on the top line put {{db-author}}. This is a tag that says the author of a page wants it deleted. It can be speedy deleted by an admin within minutes or hours (depending on when an admin picks it up). If you're the only editor of a page, you have the right to just say, "Kill it now" without going through an AfD. Fan1967 00:53, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:K104.7.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Sue Anne 19:19, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Dear Tropical cyclone editor,
As a member of the Tropical Cyclone Wikiproject, you are receiving this message to describe how you can better tropical cyclone articles. There are hundreds of tropical cyclone articles, though many of them are poorly organized and lacking in information. Using the existing featured articles as a guide line, here is the basic format for the ideal tropical cyclone article.
Good luck with future writing, and if you have a question about the above, don't hesitate to ask.
