Hello, I'm
SummerPhDv2.0. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article,
Bindi (decoration), but you didn't provide a
reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to
include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the
tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on
my talk page. Thank you. SummerPhD

Hi Tithi.sarkar! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at
1971 Bangladesh genocide that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as
typo corrections or reverting obvious
vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see
Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. --

Hello, I'm
Firestar464. I noticed that you recently removed content from
Pahela Baishakh without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate
edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your
sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on
my talk page.

I would agree with Firestar 464 here. The fact that the Bengali New year is celebrated in Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa, Nepal on the same day is not irrelevant, is it? There is obviously a link. And I provided rigorous citations. Dipendra2007 ( talk) 16:42, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
Hi Dipendra2007 ( talk) Similar events might take place around Bengal, but those have their individual own names and history, is different from "Pahela Baishakh" and have their own characteristics. Hence no relevancy in this case.
I still do not understand why you reverted my edits supported by citations. The Bengali New Year is celebrated in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Punjab pretty much on the same day. That sure is relevant, is it not? There are parallels here. Dipendra2007 ( talk) 16:57, 15 April 2021 (UTC)
Dipendra2007 ( talk) , the other festivals you mentioned are not "Bengali New Year". Also 1. they are celebrated prior Pahela Baishakh
2.as per the sources provided, Bengali calender was established by Emperor Akbar for tax collection purposes, the other events you mentioned don't share the same history as this one.
3.Dates might overlap, but that doesn't make it the "same" or "similar" I'm sure there are famous people who were born on this day too. Should i add their Birthdays too? (just kidding) Wikipedia should be user friendly and free from chaos. It shouldn't have topics which have little to no relevancy.
Tithi - I left a comment on the Pahela Baisakh Talk Page for your review. Best, Dipendra2007 ( talk) 20:03, 25 April 2021 (UTC)
