Here's an example,
Badlucksuks! <ref>{{cite web|last=Clash|first=Jim|date=June 13, 2023|url=https://www.forbes.com/sites/jimclash/2023/06/13/riders-on-the-storms-tornado-chasings-all-the-rage/?sh=449999e45fb5|title=Riders On The Storms: Tornado Chasing's All The Rage|access-date=April 13, 2024|website=[[Forbes]]}}</ref>.
The example above produces a citation here.[1] The same can be produced with other references, and you can change the parameters to account for the citations you're adding! ~

Translations are available.
Problems
Between 2 April and 8 April, on wikis using
Flagged Revisions, the "Reverted" tag was not applied to undone edits. In addition, page moves, protections and imports were not autoreviewed. This problem is now fixed.
[1][2]
Changes later this week
The
new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 16 April. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 17 April. It will be on all wikis from 18 April (
calendar).
[3][4]
Default category sort keys will now affect categories added by templates placed in
footnotes. Previously footnotes used the page title as the default sort key even if a different default sort key was specified (category-specific sort keys already worked).
[5]
A new variable page_last_edit_age will be added to
abuse filters. It tells how many seconds ago the last edit to a page was made.
[6]
Future changes
Volunteer developers are kindly asked to update the code of their tools and features to handle
temporary accounts.
Learn more.
Four database fields will be removed from database replicas (including
Quarry). This affects only the abuse_filter and abuse_filter_history tables. Some queries might need to be updated.

Hello, @

tools you can use to make the reverting and warning process easier. Feel free to ask any further questions or for clarification, if necessary! :) ~

Hi Tails, I'm happy to see you as a mentor. I recently submitted a page and an admin quickly flagged it for immediate deletion. Reason given was they perceived it as a business promotion. Indeed Phare The Cambodian Circus is a business.... it's the social enterprise extension of Phare Ponleu Selpak non-profit school, which already has a Wikipedia page. Both have been recognized by public and private sector for the impact they have on the community. I disclosed at the outset that I indeed work for the organization, but that doesn't lessen the impact of the organization. I included ample references for the statements from third party reliable sources, including the NYT, VOA and BI. I'm not sure what more I could have done to be impartial. Your guidance is welcome and would be appreciated. --

@
Craig Dodge: Hi, and welcome. Sadly, Tails couldn't respond in time hence it's me helping an old friend. I hope I'll answer to all of your questions. Every entry in English Wikipedia must be written in
neutral tone, and satisfy
general notability criteria. Sounds like you had problems with the first one. I don't know what was written in the draft as I do not possess advanced rights to see it Speedy deletion of your draft was declined and is still standing, not every deletion notice is an end of the world. I strongly suggest reading
a guideline on oftenly problematic words as well as
what Wikipedia is not. Your draft will be accepted if it will be written in an appropriate tone as well have
reliablecited sources that will prove the subject suffices
notability criteria for organizations. A09|
(talk) 20:44, 22 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Hi @
A09, thanks for the information. If you have access to the draft page, can you see my updated edit and advise whether this is more likely to pass muster?
Craig Dodge (
talk) 04:10, 23 April 2024 (UTC)reply
@
Craig Dodge: Sorry for a late response. I've taken a look at your draft and it's not bad, however I suggest some further improvments before resubmition. Some sentences are supported by a source connected to the subject and I suggest adding some neutral independent references. Moreover I'd add additional references beside ref nr. 11. In conclusion, well written with some minor improvments in need of attention. Sincerely, A09|
(talk) 18:58, 23 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Thank you again. Your guidance is greatly appreciated. I've added references where noted. Corrected some language and added a couple additional milestones. The citations connected to the subject are the best I can find that describe the organization structure. As has been recommended by another, once submitted and if published, I will request edits from others. However, I'm wondering if the ample amount of third-party sources don't already validate credibility?
Craig Dodge (
talk) 22:54, 23 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Hey @
Craig Dodge, I'm able to respond now; with thanks to @
A09 for their help! Anyway, if the citations are connected to the subject, they're
primary sources. While using primary sources isn't disallowed, I encourage using
secondary,
independent sources over primary sources. As for that, I did find
this secondary source that could help than using those primary sources!
And yeah, there's a good amount of
significant coverage in secondary (third-party, basically), reliable sources in your draft, which includes
CNN,
Christian Science Monitor, and
Voice of America. However, I'm seeing a bit of
citation overkill in the Recognition and milestone section, so that could be cleaned up as well! Feel free to ask A09 or me for any further help or questions! :) ~
TailsWx (
🐾,
me!) 01:58, 24 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Hi @
Tails Wx, welcome back and thank you for your feedback. Question about your concern about citation overkill in the recognition and milestone section: Should there not be a citation for each milestone? Would it be better to list fewer milestones?
Craig Dodge (
talk) 02:03, 24 April 2024 (UTC)reply
@
Craig Dodge: So, ya see there's multiple references for one statement in that section? If there's a source which mentions that altogether, then that single source could be used rather than multiple references. If there isn't, then a few references could be used for the specific information (e.g. milestone in this case). In this case, say, here:
The theater has been praised for it's circus troupes who have presented in platforms both locally and internationally including Ringling International Arts Festival, Oz Asia Festival in Adelaide, Australia, La Tohu in Montreal, the New Victory Theater in New York, and Sydney Festival in Sydney, Australia. Their production, "White Gold" received acclaim as a "Critic Pick" in The New York Times in December 2023..[10][11][12][13][14]
So, there's five references, right? I think there could be either unnecessary references that could be removed (if they don't mention the information above), or the sources can be moved to the end of each specific festival (if the source mentions the specific festival that the circus performed for). Let me know if ya need any further clarification! :) ~

So funny enough, just days after you got the article to a GAN, the NYC government

Feedback request: Society, sports, and culture request for comment
As proposed deletion before, the event hasn't even completely unfolded yet. Move it to a draft until it is actually over, then re-assess. See the talks about the April 1-3, 2024 outbreak article for further context.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
To pass as a seperate article, it first needs to be assessed with
WP:Notable and
WP:LASTING, requiring the aftermath analysis to be significant and worthy of an article. Previously this year, we waited nearly a week to pass the
Tornado outbreak of April 1-3, 2024 article over significant debate and revision. This far more notable tornado outbreak today is not over, and we have no clue on any damage assessments or confirmed total numbers for casualties. Not to mention the notability-checking bots may flag the recent article.
My point is, it would very much be best to help move that article into a draft space until the entire tornado event is over, to ensure the quality on the severe-weather topic pages. Thanks for reading this, hope it helped!

Hey there, @
CuriousKida!
Help:Editing is a great page for you to know how to edit Wikipedia. I've also left a welcome message on your talk page that also has helpful tips when editing Wikipedia! Of course, if you have any specific questions you'd like to ask, feel free to do so! Happy editing! :) ~

On Wikisource there is a special page listing pages of works without corresponding scan images. Now you can use the new magic word __EXPECTWITHOUTSCANS__ to exclude certain pages (list of editions or translations of works) from that list.
[32]
If you use the
user-preference "Show preview without reloading the page", then the template-page feature "Preview page with this template (
what's this?)" will now also work without reloading the page.
[33]
Kartographer maps can now specify an alternative text via the alt= attribute. This is identical in usage to the alt= attribute in the
image and gallery syntax. An exception for this feature is wikis like Wikivoyage where the miniature maps are interactive.
[34]
The old
Guided Tour for the "
New Filters for Edit Review" feature has been removed. It was created in 2017 to show people with older accounts how the interface had changed, and has now been seen by most of the intended people.
[35]
Changes later this week
The
new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 14 May. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 15 May. It will be on all wikis from 16 May (
calendar).
[36][37]
The
Special:Search results page will now use CSS flex attributes, for better accessibility, instead of a table. If you have a gadget or script that adjusts search results, you should update your script to the new HTML structure.
[38]
Future changes
In the Vector 2022 skin, main pages will be displayed at full width (like special pages). The goal is to keep the number of characters per line large enough. This is related to the coming changes to typography in Vector 2022.

Two columns of the pagelinks database table (pl_namespace and pl_title) are being dropped soon. Users must use two columns of the new linktarget table instead (lt_namespace and lt_title). In your existing SQL queries:
Replace JOIN pagelinks with JOIN linktarget and pl_ with lt_ in the ON statement
Below that add JOIN pagelinks ON lt_id = pl_target_id

The
Nuke feature, which enables administrators to mass delete pages, will now correctly delete pages which were moved to another title.
[42]
New changes have been made to the UploadWizard in Wikimedia Commons: the overall layout has been improved, by following new styling and spacing for the form and its fields; the headers and helper text for each of the fields was changed; the Caption field is now a required field, and there is an option for users to copy their caption into the media description.

Changes later this week
The
new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 21 May. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 22 May. It will be on all wikis from 23 May (
calendar).
[45][46]
The HTML used to render all headings
is being changed to improve accessibility. It will change on 22 May in some skins (Timeless, Modern, CologneBlue, Nostalgia, and Monobook). Please test gadgets on your wiki on these skins and
report any related problems so that they can be resolved before this change is made in all other skins. The developers are also considering the introduction of a
Gadget API for adding buttons to section titles if that would be helpful to tool creators, and would appreciate any input you have on that.

Hello, my userpage says that you have been assigned to be my mentor and that I can ask you questions? I'm trying to learn to edit. I am a student of tax law and my primary interest is in improving content and understanding of tax law. I see that this list
/info/en/?search=Category:Scholars_of_tax_law is pathetically incomplete, and indeed it seems to mostly only have profiles listed for tax law professors who have an affiliation with the University of Pennsylvania. I want to work on adding profiles for the most prominent and distinguished tax law professors who are not already on the list (becuase they do not have Penn affiliations). I started working on one draft profiel that someone else created and I was accused of a conflict of interest. I think that has been resolved. But I thought I'd check with you on my plan before working on creating other profiles just in case I am doing something wrong or might do it in the wrong way. I would appreciate any advice you could offer. Thanks!! --
