Sorry, but I've declined your speedy request. It's not 'obviously made-up'. A11 is for things like drinking games invented by students, new words invented by high school pupils and 'theories' in maths and science that are obviously created by someone aged 13. There is a claim to significance in that the subject is stated to be a professor. WP:PROD would be a better choice. Peridon ( talk) 16:34, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for patrolling new pages. However, it is not generally considered to be a task for new editors. Before continuing to patrol, please read [[WP:NPP] and WP:DELETION thoroughly, and then you will understand also why we do not tag pages that are under construction with CSD A1 or A3 within minutes of creation as you did at Car Testers. Do you feel that the style of the comments that I added was not satisfactory for the article, or that the content of the comments was not satisfactory? I felt the information that I added was necessary to produce a more balanced and complete picture of life at the university. I was actually quite convinced from reading the article that someone at the admissions office at the University had written it. Knowing that the university is not within walking distance to any business districts is useful, as is knowing that the high median income of the town of Fairfield means that rent generally is extremely high for students to live off campus. Perhaps your objection should have been to add citations (which I can do) instead of to entirely remove the content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.139.171.203 ( talk) 19:58, 9 January 2014 (UTC)

I am working with the History of the Pamir Mountains and it's Exploration since more then 20 years. To name the lake "Victoria" is nonsens, this is clearly the name for Zorkul. As well the name "Zira" and to say this is " old Saka/Pamiri" language. And "Orkhon Writings" ... Sorry, that area was far away from this place and there are hundreds of "Black Lakes". The name is from Kyrgyz people who came in this area about 200-300 years ago. If you want to inform yourself I am happy to send you a list of literature (although it will be a very long one). Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on My iz budushchego requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. TheLongTone ( talk) 11:42, 24 January 2014 (UTC)

Dear Skr15081997 (Shailendra),
I notice that you have left a message on the article in question to reduce references and leave footnotes. As a fairly new contributor to Wikipedia I am learning some of the rules (some of which are slightly irksome - however that is a debate for another day). Anyhow, I would like some advice on how to re-format the references into footnotes: What is best to leave as a reference? What is best to put as a footnote? Could you particularly advise on the article in question - not because I am fixated with the individual (as suggested by another user) but simply because it is one of the first contributions I have made, and thus I have spent much time on correcting and updating the article. It is somewhat of a learning curve - most especially the "rules of notability" (as reported today in the BBC it is quite an off-putting process - again an argument for another day!) Now this may be all rather academic as the article is currently under review for deletion, plus I am under investigation as being a "sockpuppet" (therefore will understand if you wish to ignore my message); however any guidance would nonetheless be helpful - as I feel that have made (or at least am trying to make) an honest contribution to this world of knowledge.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,

Nope, that's not how it works "Skr1581997": that section is entirely opinion based, and links to a single source that is not objective. It manages to speculate in one paragraph that the discovery by men that they were the father's of their children was responsible for: "revoked the absolute freedom human beings used to enjoy with respect to their sexual behaviour, thus blaming and prohibiting all sexual acts not aimed at a fecundation of the woman. Moreover, the discovery of fatherhood and the sedentary forms of living developed during the Neolithic Age led the man to develop the first forms of private property and to defend them through conflicts – and eventually wars – with competing human beings". It is nonsense, and has not the slightest basis in fact. The edit should not have been undone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.97.94.167 ( talk) 23:49, 13 April 2014 (UTC)
Not much we can do about wikipedia user participation really unless we start offering people something or advertising ourselves. I've long suggested offering editors incentives to write articles like monthly competitions with Amazon vouchers as a prize of something which will lure new people to the project to write for us. I've also suggested that wikimedia form as many agreements with language schools to help translate articles between wikipedias for practice. If we're really serious about producing an encyclopedia of the highest quality we really need to start capitalizing on the vast pools of potential editors and resources and treating each article with respect. We're grossly underachieving in overall quality and readability at present, even if overall we're on the right track in terms of scope.
In terms of participation in the missing articles project, yup there's very few people actively working on them. Not much we can do to get people working through them, people tend to do what they want to do. Overall organization is poor on wikipedia.I myself find it difficult to commit to any given project or task because of the extent of work needed everywhere on here. I do try to start a few DNB articles every week or so though.♦ Dr. Blofeld 09:42, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
To be honest it's difficult for me to consistently organize drives to create new content when so much work is needed cleaning up what we've already got. I try to balance the work I do on here! We're a mess basically. A lot of new articles really don't help and add to the problem and workload. Naturally I support the creation of decent new articles, I just don't see it is a project priority right now.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:06, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
User:Charles Matthews generally works on missing articles, especially DNB and might be worth approaching.♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:21, 14 April 2014 (UTC)
