Hey there. I really appreciate you inviting me to the Tea House. THX4,444 ( talk) 05:26, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for starting the article. The whole harbour area seems to be undergoing huge transformations at the moment as a result of the closure of the Mærsk shipyards. I'm not sure the statistics you added are still correct. The new industrial park seems to account for a large part of its new interests (see my additions). Maybe you would be interested in Odense Palace which seems to have quite a history. I appreciate your encouragement.-- Ipigott ( talk) 15:52, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
@ Ipigott: Please update the statistics if you have access to newer figures. Otherwise, we could add something about those numbers dating to x? I'll look at the palace as soon as I can. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 16:01, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Depends. Your coordinates look accurate for the inner port area but what also looks like the outer port downstream is located at 55 28 4 N 10 32 5 E.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:13, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Your Rosiness, you might find a bit more for Archie Simpson in the biography link and nom it for DYK. Doesn't need much more..♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:37, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
I've given it a copyedit and removed some of the superfluous text. One problem is it says he was intent on starting a billiard factory but then mainly says he was successful again as a player. Can you find what he actually did in opening factories producing tables?♦ Dr. Blofeld 20:11, 5 July 2014 (UTC)
Spotted an attractive female jogger running through Tusindårsskoven on street view! I saw some photos of the church in one of the villages I started too. I wouldn't mind going to that church put it that way :-) They don't make em like that in England! The average Danish woman would be considered really attractive in the UK and USA! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:27, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Hey Rosie, I've started an ambitious project to cover the Louvre displays! Obviously we can't mention 380,000 objects but we could certainly have an article for each department and even for each room of each one and highlight the most notable artifacts of each one. I envisage a nav box with departments in bold down the side and numbers piped of the rooms and an article on each one. Plenty of images Really I think the list of notable artifacts needs to be ordered by room with a brief summary and sub articles on each room in more detail.♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:09, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Probably a good place to start is just articles on each of the departments with a list summary. Feel free to add images from room 16-30 from here to the gallery. I've reached room 15! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 16:33, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Thanks. Yeah it would need a LOT of work to write a decent article by room and individually and for each department! I think I'll leave it at that now, gradually the other departments ought to be at least started with lists highlighting the main features though. The potential though is huge!♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:12, 3 August 2014 (UTC)

There is a deep connection between the Sculptured Fused Glass Wall of NSUC and the Magdalenian Caves of Lascaux.
Engravings and paintings throughout history convey an astonishing and most powerful reminder of how inter-dependent and inter-connected we humans are with one another, with living creatures, and our mother Earth. We all share the responsibility and accountability to preserve and protect that which is precious and priceless about our human existence upon our planet and in the Universe.
It is known that men and women in pre-historic times and even up through early Minoan civilizations lived together in peace and harmony with Nature. They built ... and planted ... and cultivated their lives ... celebrating as well as worshipping the natural cyclical rhythms of Nature and the nurturing powers of the Universe. Their shelters ... their Built Environments ... as ours, are only expressions of their beliefs, history and technology.
From ancients shall we learn; not new ways, but ways all too commonly forgotten. They more often cast their eyes upward to a worshipped sun, and learned that the lights of the sky could, in many ways, enhance their lives. They felt, perhaps, a greater kinship with their surroundings. As such, they built. Send us an email that might be more convenient for you. When that you have participated in recognized content, what does that mean as your topics of interest are quite broad?

Hi Rosie, again I want to say how marvelous it was meeting you this weekend. As promised, I intend on adding Maya Angelou articles to the project, but before I do that, I wanted to ask you something. Do you want me to add the articles in a list or table, or should we copy what's been done at Wikipedia:WikiProject Women scientists and list it as recognized content? Let me know what you'd prefer, and I'll proceed. Although now that normal life is about to begin again, it may take me a couple of days. Christine (Figureskatingfan) ( talk) 22:56, 1 September 2014 (UTC)
@ Figureskatingfan: Ditto, I was so happy to f-i-n-a-l-l-y meet you! I have no opinion on list vs. table, but I do think following the practices of WOMSCI makes sense vs. reinventing the wheel while WOMWRITERS is in its infancy. Your contributions towards the new project are most welcome! -- Rosiestep ( talk) 00:32, 2 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Rosie, if you have time outside your fem stuff can you add a bit to this article? Highbeam] beyond entry 5 you might rummage around, you have access right? ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:03, 3 September 2014 (UTC)
LOL! OK! Emailed BTW..♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:50, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Thanks mi amiga. Do you want to nom Atlantic Trading Estate? Doesn't need anything more. A good hook would be DYK that the Atlantic Trading Estate in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan was once a Roman cemetery? No worries if not!♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:52, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, I was surprised actually I found as much on it as I did. I didn't know that, I'm sure most locals didn't, that's why it's important to produce such articles I think! I doubt you can find much more in google books, although Highbeam probably has some more articles on arson attacks LOL. ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:09, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
There is a link on the file page to request rotation. However, some things can take a long time on the Commons so I downloaded the file and rotated it then re-uploaded it. Should be good now. CBWeather, Talk, Seal meat for supper? 03:02, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
On 5 September 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Modesta Avila, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Modesta Avila (pictured) was the first convicted felon and first state prisoner from Orange County, California? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Modesta Avila. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Hey I started Wikipedia:WikiProject Women writers/Missing articles. I'd suggest you merge User:Rosiestep/Gender Gap into it for wider project use. An idea might be to identify all foreign wiki categories and try to root out all missing entries from other wikipedias on female writers. I've added a few from the Finnish and Estonian wikis, they should have an interlink I think. You'll probably want to organize by country and subject though rather than a raw A-Z, up to you, but I've started it :-) I do see the strength in a raw A-Z list with a mixed bag as I think it is the best thing we can do to draw up and rid of general systematic bias and to include all writers as one. If you want to reorder by country and topic the Finnish and Estonian ones I've added are poets, I've reached half way through the Finnish category... I'll be glad to help you draw up a huge bank once you've decided on format!♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:00, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
Congratulations on starting the WikiProject Women writers. It is of course extremely ambitious but could help in particular to improve coverage of non-English speaking authors (perhaps starting with those who have been translated into English). I've made some suggestions on the talk page. I had been considering covering Women artists for the next Women's History Month but maybe writers are more important?-- Ipigott ( talk) 13:22, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
As part of my involvement in Wikiproject:Alaska, I did some clean-up on the KBJZ-LP article. Reworded the lead and other parts, and took out some obviously Fanpov info. I'm pretty satisfied with most of the article now, but if you could take 5 and offer any further suggestions to me, that would be great! :) Juneau Mike ( talk) 17:22, 5 September 2014 (UTC)
@ Michaelh2001: For sure, but it'll be tomorrow. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 03:22, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
@ Rosiestep: I took your advice and made the changes to the paragraphs for KBJZ-LP. I'm going to try to find some references for the DJs names. Thanks for your help! Juneau Mike ( talk) 19:34, 8 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Rosie. I have just noticed we have something of a problame with this article which was built on an earlier title. As a result, the talk page is now Talk:Still Life: Vase with Pink Roses (Van Gogh). Can you handle the necessary mechanics to try to sort things out. Those interested in its submission for Featured Picture might have comments to make on the talk page. I also wondered whether the article itself might not better be titled Roses (Krøyer) (cf Don Quixote (Picasso).-- Ipigott ( talk) 10:43, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
@ Ipigott: I've moved Roses (painting) to Roses (Krøyer). Btw, you're doing a really good job on the Skagen painters. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 14:02, 6 September 2014 (UTC)
On 9 September 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ernst Plassmann, which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Ernst Plassmann's statue of Benjamin Franklin (pictured), situated at Print House Square, commemorates him as a printer by including an issue of the Pennsylvania Gazette in his left hand? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ernst Plassmann. Hi, thank you for inviting me to the Women Writers Project. I will definitely join and get started on some of the tasks. I think it is a wonderful project topic, and I look forward to contributing. Thank you again. —Zujine| talk 21:01, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind, but I losslessly cropped the little timestamp strip off the bottom of your great page stalking cat image. You may have to purge the page a few times to see the difference. I've got a cat image for my talk here and another at Commons that fit perfectly too. INeverCry 01:49, 13 September 2014 (UTC)

Can you help me bring Disappearance of Beverly Potts up to Good Article or Featured Article? There's a book (Twilight of Innocence: The Disappearance of Beverly Potts) that we could cannibalise, and facts are not copyrighted. Paul Austin ( talk) 17:42, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
I found your note at Rjensen, and thought to make a request of you, though I don’t know if you do history. My daughters gave me a copy of Pauline Maier’s Ratification for Christmas which I thoroughly enjoyed (I'm now a retired high school teacher). Three years ago I found an out of date book blurb on Wikipedia for her biography, a publishers stub. Basically I found a woman about my age but far more accomplished in her field (history), and I wanted the world to know about it. I expanded the article and got a C-class rating. The peer review experience one year ago was singularly unsatisfactory, basically the piece as it reads at Pauline Maier is said to lack critical context. But I feel that I placed her in the historiographic spectrum where she belonged and in context, so I may just not be getting it. Maier has since passed away, I think I got all the presentisms taken out. Could you consider taking a look with an eye to a B-class or A-class rating? Regardless of my enthusiasm for wiki-fencing on Talk pages, I feel like a puppy in tall grass when it comes to actually advancing an article's rating. Thanks in advance for any comments. TheVirginiaHistorian ( talk) 04:51, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
@ TheVirginiaHistorian: Thanks for stopping by. At first glance, Pauline Maier is a nice article about an interesting person, and yes, I'll give it some attention within the week. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 14:47, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
@ TheVirginiaHistorian: You've done a lot of work on the article and it shows. I've started some editing and will continue, hopefully tonight. I'll make article comments on its talkpage rather than here. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 13:30, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Can you move the 80s lists like List of Mexican Films of 1980 to non capitals?♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:41, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Just that I think! Thanks!♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:09, 15 September 2014 (UTC)
Hi Rosie! Thank you for the invitation and thank you for starting the project. As you can see, I've signed up and created an article from the project's "wanted articles list". I won't be active in meta-project stuff ( WikiProject Opera keeps me quite busy in that respect), but I will keep the talk page on my watchlist and hope to create more articles on Italian women writers (countering 2 systemic biases in one go). I honestly don't see how people can say there's nothing left to do on Wikipedia. In Paola Drigo alone I discovered that there are at least 5 subjects (4 people and one literary journal) with articles on the Italian Wikipedia, but none here, and there are many more Italian women writers to be added to the "wanted" list. Thanks again and best wishes, Voceditenore ( talk) 07:06, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
@ Voceditenore: Glad to have you on the team. I know... There are so many articles still not written, and there's all the translation work still to be done. Thanks for all you do on Wikipedia. -- Rosiestep ( talk) 13:42, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
Rosie, you may wish to nom any of these expanded entries for DYK. Some might not be x 5 expansion though.
♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:41, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
Aw thanks Rosie. There'll be a lot more coming over the next ten days by the end of the month! ;-) ♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:19, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
Hehe, when I get in the zone I steam ahead very quickly. Of course my set up, with google book ref maker and translation tools all at the touch of a button and my evil use of multiple tabs allows we to work really quickly! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:03, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Template:Did you know nominations/Almazán has been nommed. You might find a bit on geography and economy to even it up a bit and get the credit. It's a bit unbalanced currently! Dodoma Region should be a 5 times expansion as it is, I might be wrong though.♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:20, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
