Being basically retired now, I'm personally disinclined to actively do anything about it (in any case, I don't have the tools anymore), but the user, IMO, is using their user page to advertise a paid service: ' In 2019 I co-founded slovo.media digital consultancy that does paid editing among its services for notable companies and people. slovo.media is precisely one of 'those' agencies. Perhaps

I have submitted the reason. Rizin is an international tier 1 Organization. It is not consistent that many One FC fighters get a wiki page while Rizin fighters don't
Also this fighter has signed with the UFC now and will eventually achieve the fight requirement with a tier 1 organization anyway

Hey there. Thank you for your comment on the draft page. I've written dozens of articles throughout my thirteen years on Wikipedia, though I admit this is the first board game article I drafted. I was wondering, do board games receive the same treatment as films and video games, where if the pretense of their development is notable enough, articles may be warranted ahead of time? For example, I wrote the articles for Dota 2 and The Vanishing of Sidney Hall, which held up, as they had enough momentum from their genesis, over a year before their releases. In your opinion, would a board game - which amounts to a toy - hold up for notability, if it's the sequel to a highly-popular board game, was designed by the creators of the #1 and #2 most-popular modern board games and raised $4 million on Kickstarter? I'm interested in your opinion, as board games seem to be an under-developed quadrant of Wikipedia and an article of this medium is a new experience for me. Hello, Robert McClenon. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " Rostrevor Old Collegians FC".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia

Dear Robert, Thank you for reviewing the page I created so promptly. I apologize in advance for my mistake. I am new to Wikipedia. This is my first attempt to create a page. I thought it would be better to write an article on Dr T C Goel but hadn't realised that creating a page as "him" would prove to be a disadvantage. This is not an autobiography as I am not Dr T C Goel. He doesn't work on computer and works non-electronically. I am a person who heard good things about him and researching at all his work, books, research and awards he has accumulated, I thought he should get a mention in Wikipedia. All the references I have mentioned are reliable sources: KG Medical University website, Pubmed PMID, ORCID, ISBN numbers for his books and Times of India (a reputed news website). His other awards are local so I did not mention in the wiki as I have no reliable references to support them. Please reconsider this page and if you still think that it is not worthy, then please advise me how to make it better as this man surely deserves a mention in this knowledge base. Many thanks for your help in this matter and look forward to (hopefully) a positive response. Kind regards, Drtcgoel ( talk) 17:09, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello Mr. McClenon, hope you're well! I've submitted my draft, Gamut, twice for your review and I truly appreciate your feedback. I'm quite new to the Wikipedia space so I'm here asking for your editing expertise to avoid wasting your time when I submit my third draft. I understand you've raised questions over Conflict of Interest, which I've now addressed on my User Page. Draft content wise, I was wondering if you have any suggestions on ways to improve the article? For my next submission, I plan on adding a new section to elaborate on the OTT (over-the-top) media industry since it's a new, and niche topic that I'm deeply interested in. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

User:Robert McClenon, thank you for your comment on my submission of
Draft:Comic_Con_Liverpool, can you tell me what information you might need to satisfy the notority query? I can tell you that the event has been agreed to stay in place with the venue for the next 10 years? The footfall has risen from 8000 in 2018 to over 28,000 in 2020 and popularity on social media and website stats show a continuation and a rise in interest. Prior to this company taking over, Comic Con Liverpool has been an annual event since 2015, first run by MCM then Monopoly Events since 2018. They are also notorious for displaying a large selection of props and sets which no other convention in the UK does.

user:Woerich copied this article from the draft and made it into an article.
User:DragonflySixtyseven has helped me re-write the article, can you please look it over and see if you have any further recommendations. Note I was required for a course to write a Wikipedia article on a leading Canadian conservation biologist. I chose Michael Sullivan as he is very well known within the fisheries world as one of the main biologists who helped recover Alberta's walleye populations. While I have never met Dr. Sullivan, I did send him an email to his publically available government email to ask him a few questions to assist me in writing the biography for the course. He is not my professor. I hope this helps clarify things.
I apologize if I was not following wikipedia standards, this is my first article/draft and I am still learning.

Thank you for reviewing the article I submitted on Matthew Kaminski. Matthew Kaminski has been the Atlanta Braves organist for 11 years. Before that they used recordings. He has developed a body of work that is used by many baseball teams that can no longer afford an organist. He is one of a handful of baseball organists in the US today. Most baseball venues use taped music. Although he is based in Metro Atlanta he drives to several universities and is well known to over 10 million people who hear him when games are broadcast. Would it be better if I didn't list him as a musician? There is another Matthew Kaminski who edits Politico which is why I added musician. Maybe a polka playing peripatetic organist does not on the article's face seem notable, but he truly is notable to the many millions who hear him during baseball season. I will try and add some more articles. Kmccook ( talk) 12:09, 10 April 2020 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on User:StevenLassalle/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Hi Robert,
I received this response from you regarding a declined article for submission:
"User:Chascal - First, do you have a conflict of interest? Are you being paid by CodeLaunch? (If not, why are you working so hard to get the article accepted?) Second, you have reference-bombed the draft, by adding a very large number of low-quality sources. There is a myth that, since sources are required in Wikipedia, adding more sources is what needs to be done to get an article accepted. Sources are necessary but not sufficient. You can always find low-quality sources, but you cannot make a non-notable subject notable by adding low-quality sources. That is a myth. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:07, 16 April 2020 (UTC)"
In response - No. I have no conflict of interest nor am I being paid by CodeLaunch. My motivation is purely to provide information. There is no personal gain or promotional intent in my attempt to get this article published.
As for the reference-bombing, I wanted to ensure that there were adequate third-party references on the topic to validate its inclusion. I was not aware of the term "reference-bombed" or that this was in any violation of Wikipedia policy until just now but I appreciate the clarification. I can certainly remove some of the lesser quality sources if that would be of any help.
I would like to know what modifications or methods I could implement to increase the chances this article gets published.
I look forward to your response.
Thank you,
For real am disappointed, I created my article draft; Lucy Achiro 2 days ago. As it waited to be reviewed, another editor made the same article but in the main space. Now you have rejected mine, just because It took long before it could be reviewed. Is this fair? Am really out of energy because this is the 2nd time this is happening, I created Nasiyo kamugo and as I was waiting for it to reviewed, another editor does exactly the same but in the main space, that's how mine was rejected! Hi Robert, Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to review my Draft:Scott Disick. One question I have regarding your feedback is that you stated the sources were only passing mentions. This simply is not true. I cited more than 100 sources in this article, and while some of them do contain passing mentions, many do not. I included the pages with passing mentions because I felt they still revealed details about Disick, not to clog the page. I understand that you do not want to look through 100 sources to find the most notable ones, so I'm hoping I can show you some of the sources that are not passing mentions:
I'm not trying to explain the rules to you, as I know you're familiar, so please don't take this that way; however, notability is not temporary WP:NTEMP, and the most recent community consensus for Scott Disick was to allow a new draft. You can find at least two other editors (alongside myself) who have commented on the main page talk page requesting that an article be made for this subject, and an additional discussion on Talk:Kourtney Kardashian. I believe he meets WP:ENT parts one and two. He has been a main cast member in more than 140 episodes of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. Since the last discussion, he has started his own show on E!Network without the Kardashians and has guest starred on a number of other shows. Even though Kourtney Kardashian, where the main page redirects to currently, has left Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Disick has continued to star on the show and is considered a main casts member with his own plotlines separate from her. In reference to point two of WP:ENT, he has a large fan base (23.5 million Instagram followers; 6.8 million Twitter followers - more than Adam Sandler, Gwen Stefani, the White House, etc.). Finally, the current redirect does not make sense, because he is no longer dating Kourtney Kardashian. He also meets WP:GNG, because he has significant coverage (which a quick Google search will show).
I already asked at the Teahouse, and they suggested I bring it here. Thanks again for taking the time to help out with this. I'm willing to look at next steps if the above is not enough, but I have never worked with a SALTed article before. Mukedits ( talk) 17:27, 20 April 2020 (UTC)

Please look again at the material on Dorothy McNeil and then at the existing Club Zanzibar page. The existing page is about a club in Newark (McNeil's was in Hoboken) that operated about the time that McNeil's club closed, and their roster of performers is not the same. McNeil doesn't mention the Newark club in her oral history. I have no further information about it, but they seem to be absolutely separate entities. I understand that my article Draft:Petals (music) still has some room for improvement. Kaija Saariaho is one of the most prominent contemporary composers in the world (having even won a Grawemeyer Award in 2003). Because of that, any piece she writes immediately acquires relevance and notability. How can I better show such notability in the article? Hello I have been trying to contact you and this may be the easiest way. You reviewed my article about "Dr Ross Petty" and sent your answer back on May 4th. One of your comments was I should delete some phrases that praise the scientist. I agree with that, however, you also modified the sections headlines and the info in each section. I consider that was ok. The point here is that I found a publication in WIKITIA made on May 3rd, where the information I wrote plus the changes you made, was already published. I don't know how many people have access to my draft while it is in revision, besides you and me. But I found it outrageous that some took my information, not even public yet, and published it in a different page. I am not accusing you or anything like that. My question is, how can that be possible? how could someone from WIKITIA stole unpublished information? Do you have any recommendations on how to proceed?. Could I still publish my article even though the information will be the exact same? Thanks, Im looking forward to your response. Hi, thank you for your review and feedback on the article on Scantrust. I understand that the submission was declined for lack of notability, however I would like to note that Scantrust was the exclusive topic of at least 5 different articles which appeared in the most read newspapers in Switzerland, e.g. 20 Minuten, Le Temps, 24 Heures, L'Impartial/L'express, HandelsZeitung. A list of the top newspapers in Switzerland can be found here: https://www.4imn.com/ch/
Based on my understanding of /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies), is my understanding correct that these would pass the notability test as they are all significant, independent, reliable, secondary sources? And if the notability test was passed, is it because there is not a sufficiently high number of notable sources? I would appreciate very much any feedback you have.
By the way, thanks for reviewing my earlier article on Copy Detection Pattern!

Hi Robert. Just wanted to let you know that the two issues noted in the comments of the Draft:John Dunning (volleyball) article have been fixed:
1. The candidate (John Dunning) DOES meet the sports notability criteria – he has been a member of college volleyball’s national Hall of Fame since 2011 (footnoted in #8 – Sports Illustrated) and shares a national record (with Russ Rose) for most coaching appearances in an NCAA Division I women’s volleyball championship match.
2. Two national sources have been added: ESPN (footnote #1) and Sports Illustrated (footnote #8).

Hi Robert McClenon, thanks for the review 10 days ago. I have probably over-complicated this myself and ran in a circle but I have tried to go back to the original page at Daniel Lewis (athlete) but it redirects me straight back to the Daniel Lewis (triple jump) page.
In any case, my struggle is to try and get this page reviewed successfully.
I have stated in my previous notes that the subject, Daniel Lewis, meets eligibility criteria as he "Finished top 8 in a competition at the highest level outside of the Olympic Games and world championships. Individual events in these championships must contain either several heats or extended fields (e.g., European Athletics Championships, Commonwealth Games, or any of the 6 World Major Marathons)." - this is a quote from the guidelines on the notability of people at /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Notability_(sports)#Athletics/track_&_field_and_long-distance_running.
If i'm wrong for creating this page do let me know, but I imagine he qualifies as all other athletes in the same final do have wiki pages individually. — Preceding

Hi Robert,
Thanks for reviewing my draft, I understand information is lacking in the page itself but I'm just confused as to what you meant by there wasn't information provided which would translate to me producing any notable films that would accommodate being eligible for a Wikpedia Page? 2 of the 3 films I referenced both were theatrically released in the US/UK and one in specific entitled Ladyworld has its own Wikipedia page which I tagged and has my name listed under the producers. And I submitted about 20 references all from the top publications in entertainment media in which they cover me producing these films. These articles wouldn't per se be profiles on me because that isn't as common for producers but I submitted a variety of published articles that are either 1) announcing the film 2) announcing the release or 3) actual reviews from top reporters of the films. All of which mention my name as producer on these projects.
Let me know what I could do to help elevate this page being approved in my case given the above. If any profiles on me come in I will add those but I assumed with the abundance of massive press coverage for my movies that it would do the job. Let me know and thank you for your time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jafilmmaker23 ( talk • contribs) 04:08, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Hi Robert. There already exists an article about this person as Charles Hazlewood. The creator of the draft is Hazelwood’s wife (see my user talk page and her Teahouse posts for more) who is trying to update the article about him. Although I’m sure she means well, she’s not too familiar with things Wikipedia and thus may misunderstand the purpose of a Wikipedia article. Greetings!
I am not sure if I am sending these comments to the correction location, but I've done my best to meet your revisions.
1. I have rewritten the page to be in compliance with wikipedia's copyright rules
2. Concerning guidelines for notability of the journal, we meet all three:
Criterion 1: The journal is considered by reliable sources to be influential in its subject area. All of the sources that I cited in the article are from reputable university libraries and esteemed magazines.
Criterion 2: The journal is frequently cited by other reliable sources. We are considered by the Boston College Chronicle, The Heights, The Boston College Libraries, and numerous other university libraries around the world. I have provided citations for all of these on our page.
Criterion 3: The journal is historically important in its subject area. Dianoia is one of the most important undergraduate philosophy journals in America presently. Not many journals publish the work exclusively of undergraduates, especially in philosophy, and the diversity of cited articles demonstrates just as much.
Hopefully this helps and I've submitted my comments to the correct place.

Hi, just a note, this draft is about a different person than Matt Williams (rugby player), who is 31 years old. I closed the AfD on the latter, and whilst that was closed as Keep as he is notable, the Matt Williams in this draft is probably more notable (has played at a higher level). For extra confusion, there's another Matt Williams who is probably also notable [9] and is Director of Rugby at London Scottish (the same club as the player who currently has an article). Not sure what the best plan is - I was going to disambiguate the Draft one with "born 1998" or something, as the article isn't very good and isn't really ready for mainspace. Any ideas? This is my second attempt to leave a reasonable and highly informative response on your talk page which is allowed. You or somebody else have erased my initial response simply because he didn't like it. You might or might not like my response but erasing it is called censorship and it is not welcomed on Wikipedia. Whoever removed my reply please in the future kindly refrain from exercising pure and blatant censorhip when you don't like the comment. The comment is raising resonable questions which shold be addressed in a professional manner rather than ignored or deleted. The first deleteion marks the first fact of censorship towards me and my comment on yor talk page. If it will be done on a second occasion then the trend will be established. You recently rejected my legitimate, informative and well written article about the Indian female philosopher Avyar. You failed to come up with a single explanation on why the article was rejected. I took a look at the articles you created and it is beyond my understanding on how they were allowed to be approved on Wikipedia. Do you call a poorly sourced and written collection of words about Bile (Irish legend) an article? You referenced Encyclopedia Britannica without providing a link to the material so anyone can verify that information. You listed the same link twice in a list of references which is unacceptable. Then you listed two modern books with several sentences about the person named Bile (Irish legend). Who allowed this so-called article with almost no sources to be on Wikipedia? Is this a notable topic? No, it's not. Is it a professionally written article? No, it's not. Is it well-sourced article? No, it's not. Then who are you to judge my well-written, highly informative and important article with all the references provided in a professional way? The Cat 2020 ( talk) 21:45, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
You have written on my article's page that, "This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia." This statement is factually incorrect and misleading which was proven by the works cited and references. The notability of the topic was clearly established by the article and its sources. Another user expressed his opinion on the issue and pointed my attention to several sentences which required correction. I have rewritten them and I would have resubmitted my article but your factually incorrect statement is preventing me from proceeding. No other major issues were found in my article by another user who have made a thorough review and analysis. The Cat 2020 ( talk) 15:00, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
The article about Bile (Irish legend) can be significantly expended by adding some relevant information from the following source "The Phoenician Origin of Britons, Scots & Anglo-Saxons (1924 - 1st. edition)", page 89. The Phoenician Sun-God was named Bil or Bel depending on the transliteration. You can even dig some more information in this source and make your article even more informative. Essentially we are talking about a King who took his name after the Sun-God. There were many such kings in the history and that's why it's always hard to separate Gods from real Kings or persons. It's a part of a mythology as a whole and in the past myths were always universal in nature. This point must be always taken into account. The Cat 2020 ( talk) 18:18, 3 June 2020 (UTC)

This submission has more citations. If it has not been deleted and the submission is still active, I have not been able to access it to update it. Also you mentioned that the subject matter was written from the organization's point of view. The organization closed back in the 80s long before I graduated from high school, I am not connected to the org and I am not writing on it's behalf. Can you share more specifically what part of the article you are referring to? You also mentioned that the organization was not notable. An episode of PBS's Lost LA was devoted to telling the story of this organization and the organization has been written up in news papers such the LA Times, New York Times, Washington Post. A UCLA film was made about the organization and it was featured on PBS's Black Journal in 1969. In the second submission I cited a few of these sources, but if you need more I can provide plenty. Does those references not make it notable? Operation Bootstrap was the parent company to Shindana Toys, which has a wiki entry. Operation Bootstrap was an important and significant institution in Los Angeles and Shindana went on to have significance nationwide. How can I produce a successful article for this organization. If you are curious about my background, I am a historian. Thank you.

The issue is that nobody has really taken the yearly articles to their full potential. The creator of some of them was indef blocked for numerous issues, which halted them. 2018 forward are in decent shape for the list part. What everyone doesnt understand... these articles are meant to:
Those are a few purposes of the article besides just listing all the storms. Im sure there could be more items in the future, but that was just what kind of came to be when these were created. Let me know what you think. Noah Talk 22:02, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello Robert,
Firstly, thank you for publishing my article. Upon further review of other articles about Saskatchewan lakes, I see that their titles are formatted as "_____ Lake (Saskatchewan)". As someone who likes to follow patterns, I would love to see the article renamed to "Peck Lake (Saskatchewan)". Is it possible for me or you to edit this as a minor fix?
Thank you in advance for any help!

This is a friendly reminder to involved parties that there is a current Dispute Resolution Noticeboard case still awaiting comments and replies. If this dispute has been resolved to the satisfaction of the filing editor and all involved parties, please take a moment to add a note about this at the discussion so that a volunteer may close the case as "Resolved". Hi Robert,
You declined an article I created about "Whale Cloud" and left a few comments for improvement. As advised, I went on to the Teahouse & followed their guidance to edit the article. Can you please have a look at it now and let me know if all is in good order to publish?

Hello Robert McClenon, thank you for reviewing the draft. I am unsure whether I understood weel all your comments for improving the article. I re-written the lead paragraph with a more neutral tone. I also remove the laudating terms. Eventually I added some references.
Please let me know if this is was is expected.

During the dispute, you offered assistance to formulate the RfC appropriately. Unfortunately, I don't have the experience to do that myself since the content disputed is huge. "If you are here with a comment about the process itself, it would be a good idea to post it at the dispute resolution talk page to get the comments of other volunteers also." I don't think this is necessary in this particular case. The case was the following /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Dispute_resolution_noticeboard/Archive_187#List_of_Italian_inventions_and_discoveries I appreciate your assistance -- TriangoloDiTartaglia ( talk) 09:21, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi, Robert McClenon, how are you? Just wanted to say: our copyvio blanking template creates links to a dedicated rewrite page, normally at Talk:Foo/Temp, but for drafts the link leads instead to Draft talk:Bar/Temp (please don't ask me why these things happen, they just do). If you happen to come across such a page, please don't move it to a more usual title – the admin or clerk reviewing the copyvio listing will only look for a rewrite at that specific address. Only mentioning this because you moved Draft talk:Shlomit Yanisky-Ravid/Temp, which later ended up in mainspace with a good deal of copyvio still intact (all sorted now, I think). I see your name everywhere, steadily making Wikipedia better – thank you for all that you do. Regards, Justlettersandnumbers ( talk) 21:40, 12 June 2020 (UTC)
Hello! The author of the above draft posted a sort of help request at the Teahouse, and I took a shot at improving the draft. I added some good sources. Noting in terrific depth, but the facts are more or less all verified. I also removed all of the LOC catalogue entries that were clouding the sourcing, as all they really offer is some minor facts. Could you take one last look at it and let me know what you think? I have the feeling that it just marginally makes it, but you would have a much more valuable opinion on that than I would. If it does not make it, the draft is toast, as there is probably nothing more to be found. Thanks ThatMontrealIP ( talk) 23:31, 12 June 2020 (UTC)

Hello Robert , I just included a lot of references concerning this actor and model and still I am not getting anything. This person has a big notoriety in his country and in the middle east. He spent 10 years in this job, he had roles in so many movies, He worked with the biggest arab directors. He was also a music producer that worked with the most famous artists from the us and all over the globe, You can verify that , the achievements he did are noticeable. I put additional references in the draft of Adam Karim . If it is not enough , tell me what I should improve. The draft I made is well done and describe everything the neutral way. I followed all the guidelines given and I made sure that the references given meet the criteria for notability.

Thanks for Robert taking the time to review this Creation. I did believe the musical notability requirements were well met, citations were provided included the non-trivial and independent LA Times, and well-regarded Rolling Stone magazine that wrote dedicated articles about the artist, as well as social media platforms such as Hypebeast. I have since added confirmation that the debut album ranked 17 on iTunes in America upon its release. The article also confirms the artist's label is Warner, a major publisher of music. Would it make a difference if I add more Citations to demonstrate Notability ? I don't believe the article reads as a Directory, perhaps this is a function of the content being kept to a minimal ?

Hello Robert McClenon,
NPP Sorting can be a great way to find pages needing new page patrolling that match your strengths and interests. Using ORES, it divides articles into topics such as Literature or Chemistry and on Geography. Take a look and see if you can find time to patrol a couple pages a day. With over 10,000 pages in the queue, the highest it's been since ACPERM, your help could really make a difference.
In late February, Google added 5 new languages to Google Translate: Kinyarwanda, Odia (Oriya), Tatar, Turkmen and Uyghur. This expands our ability to find and evaluate sources in those languages.

Hello, Robert McClenon. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " sandbox".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia

Following your comments about the "Chances" draft last December, I put up a discussion on the talk pages of DNA and Backstreet Boys in regards to the draft being moved to mainspace or redirected. I only received one response so far, who stated that they favored the move, which I felt was not enough for consensus. I was wondering if one user in favor of the draft being moved would qualify for consensus, given that both articles do not have much talk page activity, and instances of past discussions closing with limited participation of users. If not, should I move the discussion to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Songs instead? Also, the original draft editor created a new article directly copied from the draft, with the title not adhering to naming conventions and disregard of previous comments. Is there anything I can do about this? — Angryjoe1111 ( talk) 18:25, 18 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi Robert! I just would like some more guidance as to how to write this article from a neutral perspective; upon reviewing I didn't find any biased or promotional language and I would be happy to change that, I just don't know what is coming off as not neutral.

Hi Robert, thanks for your comment on my article draft. I am brand new to Wikipedia. You said in a comment "an entry will need to be added to the disambiguation page for the primary name. Good day! Vladímir Hirscher is a well-known artist with ethics a lot of notable-by-contemporary-criteria ones would envy for "human," "humble," and "talented." I have been following applied artists for more than 3 decades now, and he is one of the few who did not and does not answer pre-set interviews and paid offers or cross-promotions, nor looks out for those. Being sincere, too many pay for promotion and the time when people will invest genuine effort in mirroring one's artistic value objectively is still to come. I understand that Facebook is not a good reference but it leads to the artist's work and a picture is worthy 100 times the words, so it is up to you to re-analyze the situation here and tell me what is to be done. Only for information, the article is rewritten from the Czech language. Wrapping up all this, what is to be done so that the article is finished and I do not have a "dead" link into his father's one? Thanks! Marespw ( talk) 05:20, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
Good day again! I know you are prioritizing content but would like to remind you about my article here as well. Thanks. -- Marespw ( talk) 00:52, 28 June 2020 (UTC)
Greetings! I am responding to a question about possible conflict of interest with the biography of Caroline Rose. I do not have a relationship with this person, nor am I being paid to edit the page. I deeply respect the ethical expectations for Wikipedia pages. This person is an important figure in the design of the original Macintosh and has been a vital force behind the recognition that technical writing can play an important role in software development. As a woman in technology, she has never received anywhere near the respect she deserves. If I have included something in the text that seems improper, please let me know what it is so I can delete it from the draft. I am semi-retired and plan to continue authoring Wikipedia biographies of people who are deserving but have been overlooked for some reason or another. Previously, I authored Ed King (activist) and currently planning a biography page for Keith Ohlfs, an important figure in interface design who recently passed away at the age of 50. I'm looking forward to hearing from you so we can resolve any issues. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Postsingular ( talk • contribs) 01:02, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
You declined this a long time ago. It has resurfaced and I've had a shot at a half decent draft article name. I concur with your comment. I'm reasonably happy to accept it and let the community decide, but that also seems a waste of a load of AfD editors' time and effort. What are your thoughts, please? Fiddle Faddle 19:21, 26 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi Robert McClenon, Thank you so much for your professional feedback on my AfC which you suggested seems praiseworthy rather than neutrally written and, that it should be reworked. Secondly, you were also suspicious if there is any 'Conflict of Interest' issue and that I should make a declaration. As you put it:
Does the author of this draft have any sort of financial or other connection with the subject of this draft? Please read the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy and make any required declarations.
Let me start by saying clearly and categorically here to you that I have no conflict of interest. I don't know this person that I decided to write about and never met him or anyone that knows him and I don't have "any sort of financial" connection with him. I researched him and presented the information I uncovered in reliable secondary sources. I must admit I'm not a professional editor and I welcome feedback and suggestions from pros on how to better present articles in Wikipedia in the most objective manner. I write in Wikipedia voluntarily like everyone else and would love to see Wikipedia respected. However, it's surprising for me that you suspected if I am being paid and I wonder how much someone can pay to buy me to spend my precious time to write for him on Wikipedia. Nobody even knows I write in Wikipedia and I don't consider myself a professional PR promoter. I have read around Wikipedia about this issue since the whole of yesterday and I came to understand that some people might actually be doing just that. I therefore commend you and people like yourself for being vigilant for such abuse. Bravo! On the issue of 'praising' the subject of my article, I must say that I will try to rework it as you instructed. Thanks for your feedback and please keep up the good work.
