Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Punjabi language, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Speedy deletion of Raja Sajjawal Khan

A tag has been placed on Raja Sajjawal Khan, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of Raja Muhammad Ashraf Khan

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Raja Muhammad Ashraf Khan, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No indication of notability

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Rai Bashir Khan Bhatti

A tag has been placed on Rai Bashir Khan Bhatti requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Punjab Rajputs

Hi.

I have editted some of this page. I hope you do not take offence, but it needs to be more encyclopedic.I have Rose's Glossary of tribes which also gives some background info on the Rajputs in Punjab, and I will add an intro paragraph. Secondly, I have added 1911 census information on the location of various Rajput clans. Thirdly an India contributor has correctly raised the point the not all Punjab Rajputs are Muslim, and I have asked him to add a para or two on those living in East Punjab.

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Collaborations-2-350x248.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:50, 9 April 2009 (UTC). Notability of Desi ji

The article Desi ji has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Muslim Jat, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of Jat clans of West Punjab. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Victoria Cross recipient article

Hello Pk5abi, thank you for your recent contribution to the military history project. Could you please add some more details to the article you created on Raja Saadat Khan? Currently there are no details such as the action in which the subject performed the acts that lead to his award, what unit he was serving in and when and where it occured. Also, while there are some general references listed, could you please try to add some specific citations, e.g. page numbers of books where the subject is discussed, to assist in the verification process? Some biographical details would be great too, if possible (for example exact date of birth and place of birth, date of death, etc.). These details are needed to verify the subject, as currently the name does not appear on the List of Victoria Cross recipients of the Indian Army and thus needs to be confirmed. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have left more comments on the article's talk page. Could you please take a look and address the issues listed? Punjabi language

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Punjabi language. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Please at least provide an edit summary or leave a note on the talk page before reverting the other user's edits. utcursch | talk 19:24, 7 October 2009 (UTC) reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Muslim Rajputs. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. The changes you have made to this article have been reverted with an explanation of why. If you wish to re-add them, you must now discuss them on the article Talk page first, explain why the given reason for their removal was invalid, and gain a consensus supporting the changes you wish to make. Please be aware that edit-warring to re- add the changes is likely to get you blocked. -- Boing! said Zebedee ( talk) 17:02, 27 July 2012 (UTC) reply

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Karachi. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. SMS Talk 08:50, 22 November 2012 (UTC) reply

The Wikipedia community has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions on any editor who is active on any page about social groups, explicitly including caste associations and political parties, related to India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The discussion leading to the imposition of these sanctions can be read here.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:General sanctions.

Look, I'm not messing about here because it is obvious that you have seen past edit summaries etc on Meenas. Will you please take note of the warning above and if you really believe that your numerous changes are justified then feel free to explain at Talk:Meenas why such unsourced, poorly sourced and glorifying content should be reinstated to the article. The article Chaudhry Chaku Khan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. No sources at GBooks or GWeb other than mirrors. Unsourced here for years and nothing at Chakwal either. A minor clan chieftain.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Deletion discussion about Raja Allahdad Khan

Hello, Pk5abi,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Raja Allahdad Khan should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raja Allahdad Khan .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
