Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Tijuana. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use your sandbox. Thank you. Caius G. ( talk) 20:00, 25 August 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for your helpful guidance for me a newbie poster, although i am most definately not a vandal! Re Stonyhurst College I had to go back several times to incporporate the original posters comments which were factually incorrect- plus his refs were right but i did not think i would have to repeat them as you just need to link into his refs to see how his comments were misleading!I then added some more- i did say that the first letter quoted was published in the catholic herald december 2 2002 and the second one was published on the blog of Bishop Pat Buckley- just googe him to get his blog. I hope this is ok? regards Monty 330 Monty330 ( talk)I —Preceding undated comment added 22:18, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
is definitely not neutral or appropriate for an encyclopedia. There are also not enough inline citations supporting individual statements. It also reads to me like you may be copying this from another source, rather than something you have written yourself, which is not allowed per WP:COPYPASTE. Dylsss ( talk) 22:48, 30 August 2020 (UTC)Stonyhurst is a very difference place today compared with 40-50 years ago. Nonetheless, in summarising a history, it is important to accept the good AND the bad, and, in particular, give a voice to abused victims who hitherto have largely been ignored or (ahem) swept under the carpet.

Hi Dylsss, I have already submitted the link to the FL DBPR (Florida Department of Business Professional Regulations), and have uploaded documents from this government-run licensing agency with regards to confirmed thoroughbred deaths. I receive these notifications via public records requests. It is unclear to me why you are suppressing the truth, but indeed you are. I have submitted multiple examples to Wikipedia of the results of such public records requests, but you are classifying this as “disruptive”. Your deleting them is not only egregiously inappropriate, but counter to what’s Wikipedia stands for- which is disseminating the truth from all perspectives. Are you truly impartial? Kindly leave my edits. Else, Wikipedia’s Gulfstream Park page is just a free advertisement for the racing industry. Thank you.
Is inappropriate because it violates WP:OR, it has not been cited from any reliable source, it is not encyclopedic, and is your own commentary, Wikipedia does not conduct original research. SecondlyGulfstream Park regularly edits the replays of horses with catastrophic breakdowns. Below is a small sample of this activity: AUGER collapsed 7.8.29 FULL: https://vimeo.com/436599337 EDITED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlzLtXAqJvc RUN DEVIL “awkward step” 8.20.20 FULL https://vimeo.com/449856744 EDITED https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFeDtDhO0bo ALLURSTRA 8.28.20 Breaks a front leg FULL: https://vimeo.com/452689543 EDITED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PpzxlrIdeq8 CHANNELED’S ANGEL 8.30.20 Breaks a front leg FULL: https://vimeo.com/453111300 EDITED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VYWdRvjdT0.
is not relevant to the article, nor is it backed up with any sort of citation, also not appropriate for Wikipedia.Racetracks have 18 hours to file death confirmations with the FL DBPR of horses killed or found dead on the racetrack. Horses that end up in kill pens to be purchased by kill buyers are not kept track of. There is no legal obligation to report on these horses’ whereabouts, and commonly horses end up on cattle cars on a train, destined for slaughterhouses in Mexico and Canada. While not illegal to slaughter a horse for human consumption in the US, the USDA has defunded inspecting the meat. This is why the death toll will always be higher than what is reported by the racetrack.
is uncited, and constitutes WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH, since in your above reply, you state yourself that2019: 58 deaths of thoroughbred horses on this racetrack, as confirmed by the FL DBPR (Florida Department of Business Professional Regulations) pari-mutuel wagering division via public records requests. Http://www.myflorida.com/DBPR/
it appears that the death amount is your own research, and you have not cited any source, http://www.myflorida.com/DBPR/ is a dead link for me, and does not link to the amount of horse deaths at this entity.I receive these notifications via public records requests
is also uncited. Do not add information without being able to WP:VERIFY it, whenever you make an edit to Wikipedia, it is expected that the statement is verifiable, if it is not, you should expect it to be reverted. I've already reverted 4 times, constituting an edit war, I encourage you to add references, otherwise I will revert it again in 24 hours, or another editer might revert it sooner. Addtionally refernces are not in the correct syntax, they are in plain text. Thank you. Dylsss ( talk) 21:53, 3 September 2020 (UTC)2020: Through July 30th there are 35 confirmed deaths of thoroughbred horses.
I have carefully reviewed the editing disputes page, your comments, and have repeatedly provided “balancing material” citations, as the Gulfstream Park page is biased. I have also edited what I provided, as I am learning the Wikipedia rules and am interested in adhering to them. Further, I have not deleted a single item from the page. I am being respectful to both you and the site. My material is from the government run licensing agency that keeps track of thoroughbred race horses euthanized on racetracks. The material I have provided is in succinct fashion, and can be fact checked. How are these confirmed deaths that have occurred at Gulfstream Park as a direct result of horse racing, not relevant to the page? If this isn’t “balancing material”, then please explain what is.
The Public Records Act, Chapter 119.07 of the Florida Statutes entitles individuals to submit public records requests to state licensing agencies. [1] Such requests are sent to the Florida Department of Business Professional Regulations (FL DBPR) pari-mutuel wagering division. Racehorse deaths must be reported within 18 hours to the FL DBPR according to Florida statue rule 61D-2.023(7)(c), [2] , and in 2019 Gulfstream Park has reported 58 deaths to the FL DBPR. The public is entitled to this information. [3] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bar Fruit ( talk • contribs) 18:55, 3 October 2020 (UTC)
On Wikipedia, an inline citation refers to a citation in a page's text placed by any method that allows the reader to associate a given bit of material with specific reliable source(s) that support it.Your citation verifies that I can make a public access request, not how many horses have died at this venue, and as such, does not satisfy the verifiability policy which says
In the English Wikipedia, verifiability means other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a reliable source.as said in the policy
All content must be verifiable. The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material, the burden lies with you, not me. Additionally
Source material must have been published, the definition of which for our purposes is "made available to the public in some form"., the material you're adding, you claim comes from a public access request, and as such is not published or verified by an inline citation. The verifiability policy also says
Any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed and should not be restored without an inline citation to a reliable source., which is why I've removed the material, and why you should not be adding it back unless you can satisfy the Wikipedia policies verifiability and original research. Your material is original research, because as said in the policy
The phrase "original research" (OR) is used on Wikipedia to refer to material—such as facts, allegations, and ideas—for which no reliable, published sources exist, it also says
Do not add unsourced material from your personal experience, because that would make Wikipedia a primary source of that material., which is what you are doing. While what you are adding may be true, the original research policy says
Even if you're sure something is true, it must be verifiable before you can add it.. You seem to be a single-purpose account focused only on adding this material, rather than contributing constructively to Wikipedia. Dylsss ( talk) 20:07, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello Dylsss, I note you removed the update I made to this article yesterday; the Myspace was nothing to do with me, but given that her "official site" is now evidently defunct, and she has the link to the site I added at the top of her Twitter bio, I can't help but feel that it's more-or-less her "official site" now. Hi Dylsss
The amendments made by me to two of the wikipedia pages are factually and widely accepted view and therefore. The French Govt. Chevalier award is not given to any tom, dick and Harry and just becuase an actor comes from outside the Bollywood fraternity, edits which is widely accepted and does not cause harm and hurt to anyone should not be rejected. this could create an impression that the contents are controlled to promote a particular view point and you must be aware, majority of media course in the World is biased and wither support a school of thought or of a particular Government or organisation.
The edits on Jayalalitha, a popular Chief Minister of the State of Tamil Nadu in India, is all factual and can be verified from multiple sources.
Please therefore accept the edits made by me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by REALPATRIOTICINDIAN ( talk • contribs) 00:02, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

The Sexual Preference (Early 2000's Term) page is missing, and no longer redirects to the page (Modern Term) Sexual Orientation. There's current political unrest causing old definitions labeled as offensive to be deleted despite there being historical significance for outdated terms. Wikipedia has a duty to denote all changes to history, including those which might be seen as offensive or inappropriate. I have reason to believe it may be best to review edits to the Sexual Orientation page without official federal linguistic and librarian feedback as to which term should be utilized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AKB769 ( talk • contribs) 20:46, 14 October 2020 (UTC)

Yea, so you have classified my desired page reset as irrelevant and directory material, appears you are the judge of relevancy. In that case, type in Wrigley field, and notice the entire section of musical acts that happened at that arena. Try that on a few more stadiums, and perhaps question yourself perhaps its just you....its on the majority of stadium/arena pages that host concerts, but ONLY stricken from the Omni page. People actually USE that reference. I hate basketball. I find no relevance in it whatsoever, and to me the Omni was a concert hall. Quite relevant and NOT directory material as I feel a sports team should be. And look over my lack of knowledge with regard to how to navigate through this rat nest of a site and not be rude with my incorrect placement of information, I will figure it out. Its not a paying job so I probably will not put that many hours in. You can delete this message as soon as you read it and there is no need to reply. But if you removed it, ask yourself why it was removed from that one, and the others were left alone. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krautank ( talk • contribs) 02:42, 5 November 2020 (UTC)
Hi Dylsss,
I am requesting some guidance and/or assistance with my draft on WPI Energy Solutions. This is a company I am trying to write about. It is a private family owned company.
I looked at Exterran Energy's Wikipedia page and tried to write similar to their page.
Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated on how to get this page to not be such an advertising piece.

Since early 2015, WPI and TIW had been working hard to build-out their product and service infrastructure across the entire U.S. and Canada., product and service infrastructure are buzzwords, how has this company been "working hard", this is subjective and needs to be removed.
better serve our customers in the oil and gas exploration and production industry., this whole line is promotional and should be removed. The whole operations section is trivial and should just be removed all together.
maximizing productivity and uptime by partnering with some of the largest names in gas compression to offer solutions for the most demanding applications, this whole line is blatantly promotional. The whole overview section is a copyright violation and needs to be re-written so that it isn't. And finally the references aren't enough to meet the Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) guidelines, as the references are the companies website, press releases, and an entry in a business directory, none of which establish notability. With respect, Dylsss, I am surprised you would write that "the previous revision was not vandalism"! Removing almost an entire article, which has been there for many years and has been reviewed by dozens of editors, is not vandalism? And, again with respect, your description of sections that provide factual information as "promotional" has me scratching my head. By your definition, 90% of what is on the Wikipedia could be labeled "promotional"! I am not sure why this particular page is suddenly under attack, but it is nonetheless suspicious. Hi Dylsss! I recently updated Wikipedia webpage of Oded Stark, which was then swiftly removed by you due to copyright issues. I updated this webpage on Oded Stark's direct request (he wrote the update, which I merely uploaded). Because the update has been dismissed, Oded prefers that there is no webpage of him on Wikipedia at all (if it can't be his way, than better have nothing). Can the current version of Oded Stark be removed altogether? If not, then perhaps we could solve the copyright problems? I looked at Wikipedia:Declaration of consent for all enquiries, which I could get signed by Oded Stark, but I do not know which specific parts of my update of Oded Stark caused copyright issues, and thus do not know what to include in the Declaration. I understand that I should figure this out by myself, but this is simply too demanding, given that I have no experience with editing Wikipedia whatsoever. I was only requested by Oded to edit this one particular webpage. The "entry cost" of learning many Wikipedia rules just for the purpose of editing a single webpage is too much for me.

Hello Dylsss, in my opinion I did not violate any copyrights concerning my new draft of "Carl Orff Foundation". Please can you hold off the deletions? I don't understand your rationales - there are no other photos of Ian Hetherington on the internet, I cropped that from a 1990 BBC documentary, the same goes with Ken Kutaragi. The advertisement will also come into place when I finish writing the marketing section. Deleting it now would be pointless. I'm flabbergasted to why you would want to delete very pertinent images to the article. ♦ jaguar 23:43, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
no free equivalent is available, or could be created. These are living people, so an image could be created, and there are free images on Commons of Ken Kutaragi, so there is no doubt that it fails WP:NFCC#1, unless there is any reason why those would not be adequate? WP:NFC#UUI further explains and supports my rationale, it says that the following is unacceptable use for images.
Pictures of people still alive, groups still active, and buildings still standing; provided that taking a new free picture as a replacement (which is almost always considered possible) would serve the same encyclopedic purpose as the non-free image. This includes non-free promotional images.Dylsss( talk contribs) 00:07, 26 January 2021 (UTC)

It is not a click and buy type of offering. We are a pioneering IPaaS tech start up and are on the frontier of some awesome innovation. WE were looking to have a presence to inspire collaboration on tech and humanitarian problem-solving for some of the major SDG goals. Perhaps if you could assist, we would be able to make the necessary changes for a post about the problems being solved and the innovation of technology working towards "Transparency for all". That is a humanitarian theme that a lot of people are working on and not an advertising slogan. But I can understand how this might come across if you are not aware, so if we can work together, hopefully we can manage to edit our piece to fit the wikipedia guidelines. Thank you! -Nancy

Hello, I'm Dylsss. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Tuber melanosporum because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Hi Dylsss, I see that there is an issue with the permission granted by the owner of the image, in that he only cleared it for use on Wikipedia. Is the solution here just to ask him if he's OK with licensing out the image under Creative Commons? -- DaveDaRave19 ( talk) 20:05, 21 February 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up about having marked the image file for speedy deletion. FYI I have contested it on the talkpage by posting a link to the internet archive where the originally linked webpage that granted the license was archived. I haven't had the chance to consult all the technical guidance about different types of licenses, but I hope that this archived page can make the difference and confirm that the use of the image is okay. Hi,
Thanks for bringing to my attention the correct procedure for uploading my Lee Scott (rapper) image - that particular bit of the rules is all new to me! I have got the copyright owner to send an email to submissions so that's fine. One thing though, the OTRS template says there is a 35 day backlog but the missing permission template says it will be deleted in 1 week from now. Will it actually be deleted if the email has been sent just not processed yet? Seems a bit unfair if so but I hope not!
Thanks,

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Windows Photo Editor 10.0.10011.16384 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. * Pppery * it has begun... 17:42, 24 August 2021 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Image page sandbox.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 02:24, 26 April 2024 (UTC)
